Chapter 457 Good Deeds

Chapter 457 Good Deeds

Shortly after Thor left Bluewater City, Lord McKen was finally freed from the cleanup work.

He collapsed weakly into his exquisite armchair, but then suddenly remembered something and sat up abruptly.

"By the way, where does Lord Thor's friend live again?"

The personal butler immediately stepped forward and bowed, saying, "It's at No. 16 Haixia Street, Lord City Lord."

"Send two teams. One team to vacate my little garden villa on East Street; the other team to ask Thor's friends on Shrimp Street to move there. Remember to be polite, Thor might come to visit his friends."

However, when the butler personally led a team to help Sander move, he was flatly refused. Sander simply said that he was also leaving Bluewater City, which greatly disappointed the butler.

Sander made a very sturdy glass jar and prepared to take his sister Midor to the archaeological city of St. John.

There, he would have the chance to earn more money to support his sister and possibly meet Lord Thor again.

But as soon as he stepped out of the house, he suddenly noticed that Midor was not in a good condition and kept rolling around in the newly bought fish tank.

"Midor, what's wrong?" Sander immediately picked up the fish tank and looked at it from left to right.

However, before the human-faced fish could tell him anything, they suddenly heard a knock on the door.

"Thump thump thump, thump."

A knocking sound with a somewhat peculiar rhythm rang out.

Sander held the fish tank, looking blankly towards the doorway.

He remembered that his courtyard gate was locked, so how could someone knock on the door of the house?

And the rhythm of that knocking...

"Thump thump thump thump, thump!"

It's that rhythm again, no doubt about it!

Memories buried deep in his mind finally surfaced, and fear crept slowly onto Sander's face.

Then, the knocking came a third time.

Sander suddenly seemed resigned, put down the fish tank he was holding, walked to the door and opened it.

He saw three people standing outside the door, one of whom looked much older, but whose face he still recognized at a glance.

He instinctively used his body to shield the small fish inside, "You, you... I've been hiding for so many years, why are you still chasing me?"

Sander knew that the reason he and Midor were able to escape was because these people didn't really want to kill them.

Otherwise, how could an ordinary person escape the wizard's pursuit?

He thought that as long as he lived in anonymity on another continent and stopped showing up in public, he could live a life of poverty and hardship.

To everyone's surprise, these people still came looking for them.

Could it be that his stepmother became suspicious because he contacted the wizard on behalf of his sister?

"You've misunderstood," the only old man Sandra knew said softly. "His Majesty Axis passed away three months ago due to illness, but none of his children inherited the bloodline of Eternal Night. So we've come to take you back for your coronation ceremony, Your Highness Alexandra."

Sandra, or rather Alessandra, opened her mouth slightly wider.

If you suddenly inherit a large sum of money in middle age, how can you delay waking up to the news?

Ten minutes later, still somewhat dazed, Alexandra hugged her sister's fish tank tightly as she walked out of the cramped little house and boarded a black, solemn, and imposing carriage.

The cart was not pulled by horses, but by two tall male centaurs.

They wore armor on their upper bodies and had the sleek, glossy coats of horses on their lower bodies.

Centaurs are many times stronger than ordinary people in terms of strength, physique, speed, and agility.

However, their drawback is that they are unruly and difficult to control. Only formal wizards can truly command them.

The other two of the three people who came to pick up Alessandra were first-tier formal wizards.

Before getting into the car, Alexandra noticed that the city lord of Bluewater City was also standing on the side of the street, taking a step closer as if he wanted to talk to him.

Alexandra simply shook her head, refusing to let him come forward.

Watching the centaurs pull away in the majestic black carriage, Lord McKen felt his worldview crumbling.

His wizard friend of many years turned out to be not an apprentice, but a full-fledged wizard who attacked them without hesitation.

Bluewater City, which had not seen any wizards for a long time, suddenly had three wizards appear and started fighting.

Two died in the end, one of whom was a second-order being.

Having finally and respectfully seen off the final victor, they were hoping to cultivate a good relationship with Sander, whom Thor knew. Unexpectedly, the person they thought was being rescued suddenly became a VIP, being ostentatiously picked up by two great wizards.

"What have I, Blue Water City, done to deserve this?"

The butler beside him sighed.

"When you sent someone to inform Mr. Sander of the change of residence before, he was so grateful that he was moved to tears. I didn't expect that now that his status has changed, he won't even say a word." The butler had served Lord McKen for many years before he dared to speak so directly.

Lord McKen pondered for a moment, then suddenly shook his head. "Let's leave it at that. Tell the people below not to talk about it to anyone else. Don't mention why we asked Mr. Sander to relocate, and don't mention that Mr. Sander knows that wizard."

The butler was taken aback. Although he didn't quite understand, he still nodded in agreement.

"I've been sending my men to contact Mr. Sander all along; this is my first meeting with him. He doesn't seem arrogant, nor does he seem to be trying to reject me." Lord McKen turned to look at the old, dilapidated courtyard where Sander used to live, thinking to himself, "The only thing we have in common is Thor. Is he preventing me from speaking because he's afraid I'll mention Thor? It seems that his being taken away might not be a good thing after all."

Lord Mack ultimately decided to pretend he knew nothing in order to avoid getting into trouble.

At this moment, the black carriage, pulled by a man-drawn horse, had already left Bluewater City and headed towards the bay.

It looks like they're preparing to go out to sea by boat.

The human-faced fish that Sander was holding tightly had been forced to be transferred to another wizard.

Upon closer inspection, the other party discovered that it was a fish harboring a human soul. However, they did not refuse Sander's request to keep this strange fish, but first they needed to check if there were any substances on it that could harm Sander's body. They also promised that as long as the human-faced fish was harmless, they would even help Sander take good care of it and ensure that it would not die easily.

Halfway there, the ordinary-looking old man suddenly turned around, smiling kindly, and asked, "Your Highness Alexandra..."

Sander was still not quite used to the name he had abandoned more than a decade ago. "You can just call me Sander."

"If that's what you wish for, then Your Highness Sand, do you recall the silver pocket watch that King Eternal Night VII once gave you?"

Sander's eyelids twitched, he pursed his lips, and a look of embarrassment appeared on his face.

"I'm sorry, shortly after I arrived in Stadt, I was forced by circumstances to sell most of my valuables..."

The old man's lips twitched, but he quickly composed himself. "This is not your fault, Prince Sand. Never mind. Eternal Night has failed to open the Chaotic Realm Compass for hundreds of years. Now it seems that fate has already decided that it does not belong to the Eternal Night Empire."

Sander still lowered his head shyly, looking somewhat apologetic and reserved.

……

On the opposite side of the same avenue as the black carriage, Saul's smaller two-horse carriage was running happily.

While Saul was taking stock of his possessions, he suddenly discovered that the diary in his mind had opened automatically.

[October 8, 317th year of the lunar calendar, sunny]

Your good deed has been rewarded with goodwill.

The world is sometimes just that strange.

Good people can actually be rewarded?

But are you really a good person?

Perhaps only in chaotic times can you truly reveal the colors of your heart.

Who knows, the key just happened to be on you~
