Chapter 443 The Will to Resist

Chapter 443 The Will to Resist

Olivia's threat reminded Kismet of the days he spent drifting in the depths of the ocean.

Compared to that time, life now is at least not as hopeless.

He looked up again, a sincere smile now on his face.

"My dear Ophelia, he became my former master the moment he abandoned me. I will never forget who my current master is."

Ophelia stared at Kismet's silver eyes for a moment, then chuckled softly, "Little liar."

She then withdrew from the bottle opening, her slender swan neck instantly minced into a pulp-like mass the moment it entered the glass bottle, mixing into the original solution within.

"You can stay in Iskapper for now. You can do whatever you want in the rest of the world except Sky City."

Kismet gave a perfect gentleman's bow. "Thank you so much. Your character shines even brighter than your beauty!"

"You're all talk." Ophelia wasn't buying it. "When you were in the western continent of Stath, didn't you also attack Gorsa?"

"I only caused him a little trouble, how could I dare to attack a near-third-tier opponent?"

"There's absolutely no credibility to what you're saying." Ophelia's head slowly squeezed into the glass bottle, leaving only one sentence floating outside.

"Gorsa is a genius of the Radiant generation. If you were to weave his destiny into pages, the fourth-tier of Radiant would not let you off the hook."

Kismet simply smiled. "Don't worry, sir, I'll be careful and won't let myself get entangled."

……

The Glorious Family occupies a world side entirely.

The World Side is a fragment of a broken world that, after bordering the main world, was absorbed by the main world and became a small space attached to it.

Upon entering this world, you will see hundreds of wizard towers standing like city walls at the entrance.

These wizard towers vary in shape, height, and style, lacking any sense of uniformity or beauty.

As Gorza walked alone into this world side, a man's voice came from the lion sculpture beside him.

"Gorsa, you're finally back."

Gorsa stood still and did not go in.

A few minutes later, someone flew over in a hurry.

However, the person who greeted them was not friendly.

"There are only four years left. If you hadn't gotten into trouble abroad this time, would you have waited until the very last minute to come back?"

The man who approached was a middle-aged man with a full head of blond hair and a beard.

Gorsa frowned as soon as he saw the other person.

The newcomer raised his chin, his eyes filled with undisguised mockery.

"You've been running off to the outside world for so many years, completely disregarding the family mission you bear. The clan leader has been too lenient with you so-called geniuses. Someone with such outstanding magical talent as you should stay obediently in the clan's territory and help the clan produce more excellent offspring!"

"Tsk!" Gorsa clicked his tongue upon hearing this. "He's a second-tier wizard, yet he still acts like a domestic dog."

The other person wasn't angry; in fact, they even curled the corners of their lips into a smile. "So what? Didn't you come back to be a house dog too?"

Gorsa's cloak fluttered slightly, and a powerful surge of magical energy emanated from him.

The man who had been so smug immediately fell silent, as if someone had choked him.

He stared wide-eyed at Gorsa in disbelief.

"How strange," Gorsa said with a smile. "You seem to know I'm the family's genius, but you always seem to forget that."

He approached the other person step by step. "Now, say hello to me again."

The man's eyes flickered, but he instantly suppressed all his emotions.

He slowly knelt down on one knee, placing his hands together in front of his forehead.

"Welcome back, Lord Gorsa."

Gorsa ignored the provocateurs.

It's common for wizards to compete for vast resources in their quest for more knowledge. Behind their arrogant attitude lies nothing more than a conflict of interests.

Gorsa made his way smoothly to one of the unremarkable wizard towers.

Since he stopped concealing his magical powers, no one has come to stop him.

Finally, he entered the underground of the wizard's tower.

It was pitch black here; there was no picture and no sound.

But as soon as he entered this dark space, a voice immediately rang in his mind.

"You have advanced to the third rank."

"Yes."

"It was achieved by utilizing the power of radiance."

"Yes."

"You should understand the obligations that the third-tier members of the Radiant Family must bear."

"clear."

"There are two empty wizard towers here, and five more in the northern mountains of State."

Gorsa suddenly interrupted the voice from the darkness, "How come the Northern Mountains have turned into five wizard towers again? Didn't Camus just pass away a hundred years ago?"

The voice in the darkness fell silent for about five minutes.

"He's dead. He was taken away by the Black Tide of the Abyss."

Gorsa chuckled. "Then I'll inherit his wizard tower."

"His wizard tower is closer to the Wall of Sighs, and further away from the other wizard towers."

"That suits me perfectly."

"The family still hopes you can focus on advancing to the fourth tier; we haven't had a new fourth-tier member for a long time."

Gorza, however, had already started walking away. "I need a more suitable place to continue my experiments."

……

A few days later, Saul headed to Bluewater Bay with a car full of luggage.

To reduce magic consumption, he sent the other consciousnesses back into the diary, leaving only Agu outside.

Agu's consciousness is the clearest among the four consciousnesses, and he has a wide range of knowledge, which can provide Thor with a lot of help when he goes out.

After spending a night in the lakeside cabin, Thor decided to take an airship to Bluewater Bay first. Before news of Gorsa's departure from the Wizard's Tower spread, he wanted to get another free airship ticket.

Coincidentally, when they boarded the airship, they discovered it was the same ship that Captain Harry, who was very good at business.

Upon noticing Thor's name among the guests, the other party warmly approached to greet him, and casually promoted some new magical artifacts developed by Bydon Academy.

Thor was quite interested in some of the goods. In particular, the second-generation Compressed Bag, which not only doubled in size but could also be used with special sealing items to store living beings inside.

However, the new generation of compressed baggage can only be purchased in Archaeological City, where Bydon Academy is located; the airship is only for publicity.

After all, that thing was too valuable; Harry, an ordinary person, simply couldn't protect it.

Although Thor didn't buy anything, he still exchanged a few words with Captain Harry and subtly inquired about the opinions of several factions regarding the collapse of the Wizard Tower.

Although Harry was just an ordinary person, he had heard some news as he traveled around.

The two were taking a slow walk on the deck.

"...Originally, the various forces around us were somewhat restless, but ever since Lord Gorsata suddenly appeared on the battlefield with his men and directly killed two of Knaus's second-tier wizards, there has been no news of any movement," Captain Harry recounted enthusiastically.

He tried to appear generous and proper, but his gestures were still respectful to the point of being somewhat reserved.

"Now everyone knows that Lord Gorsata has been promoted to a third-tier wizard. Those who harbored ill intentions are now worried about being punished later."

At this point, Harry cautiously asked, "Lord Thor, do you think Lord Gorsart will begin a great purge?"

But Thor did not respond to him.

"Lord Thor?" Harry called again.

But Thor remained silent.

Harry cautiously raised his head and found Thor staring in one direction on the ship, a hint of coldness emanating from his eyes.

"Harry," Thor tilted his head slightly, but his gaze remained fixed ahead, "Is your ship... resilient?"

"M-Sir?" Harry stammered, feeling his legs tremble and unable to stand.

Sorry it's late today, I had some guests at home, so I didn't have much time to write. Chapter Two will be coming soon.
