Chapter 330 Seeing Through But Not Saying It

Chapter 330 Seeing Through But Not Saying It

"Yes, pig...master." Herman opened his mouth wide.

"Can't you even speak clearly?" Thor took two steps back, looking at the corpse that had come to life again. "How do you feel right now?"

"Like a damn paralysis."

Thor paused for a moment, then said, "Like being under a spell?"

Hermann nodded slowly.

Saul grabbed Herman and carried him toward the lab table.

"Since you can't even bend your tongue and your movements are slow, I'll lead you first, and you need to work on improving your control over your body."

He placed Hermann on one side of the table, as if he were a plastic mannequin standing there.

"I've reviewed the experimental records regarding soul infusion. The containers in those records didn't exhibit the uncontrollable behavior you've shown. I need to investigate further to determine where the problem lies. If you experience any changes, good or bad, please inform me immediately."

"Yes, pig...master."

Thor rubbed his forehead. "Well, this was just a trial experiment of mine, so it's normal that it's not as good as Professor Rum's research over several years. No headache... no headache..."

And so, the next day, when Hayden dragged his battered body to Saul's second warehouse, he saw the tall man following behind him.

"Sir, who is he?" Hayden immediately became nervous because she didn't know who the other person was, and whether Thor would tell him about her situation.

After a night of hard work and practice, Herman can now walk on his own without Saul dragging him around.

The only problem is that the tongue can't be straightened yet.

At that moment, his face, covered by a black cloth, turned to face Hayden. Hayden's address to Thor made him feel as if everything went black.

"My lord," he called out as well.

Very clear, no ambiguity!

Saul glanced at Hermann and tacitly approved of the form of address.

He then let Hayden in and casually said, "His situation is similar to yours; you can call him... Hel."

Calling Hermann directly wasn't appropriate, so Saul quickly dropped a syllable.

"Hel?" Hayden's expression remained blank, but the wariness in his eyes as he looked at Herman was gone.

She even leaned in enthusiastically, saying, "So we're in the same boat. Are you just entering a new container? I see your progress isn't going too smoothly yet."

Herman looked down at Hayden's beautiful face and immediately realized that this was Thor's experimental assistant within the wizarding community.

However, he had no idea that his assistant would be so beautiful...

"Yes." Herman slowed his pace, not wanting to walk alongside Hayden.

But Hayden also slowed down, seemingly to take care of the immobile "Hel".

She also seemed more enthusiastic than usual.

"When did you enter the container?"

Herman looked at Saul walking ahead, and since his master didn't seem to mind him talking to others, he tried to respond naturally as well.

"yesterday."

"What?" Hayden was taken aback. "You adapted really quickly. For the first three days after I entered the container, I couldn't even move."

Upon hearing this, Thor immediately stopped and turned to Hayden, asking, "After you enter the container, you can't move for three days?"

He mostly observed the various reactions of the spirit after it entered the container, and indeed ignored its state when it first entered the container.

And in the lab notes, this is often just mentioned in passing.

Hayden nodded.

Thor looked at Herman again, thinking, "There is indeed a big difference between one's own soul and one's own body."

Upon entering the warehouse, Saul immediately began recording the condition of the two men.

He discovered that although Hayden performed better than Herman in every aspect, Hayden had been in this body for nearly a month, while Herman had only been in it for two days. In this comparison, Herman was actually far ahead of Hayden.

"Therefore, even though it has become a corpse, the physical body still has a strong acceptance of its own soul. Moreover, the original body does not require the opposite gender to enter the original soul."

Thor watched the two continuing to test various parameters in the laboratory as he pondered.

Suddenly he noticed a strange phenomenon.

Hayden always seemed to be taking care of Hermann, whether intentionally or unintentionally.

It's like a cold, beautiful woman suddenly starting to lick a paralyzed man with facial paralysis.

Saul suddenly understood the reason and chuckled softly: "So this is how Hayden, who spends all his time in the morgue, reacts to the opposite sex?"

But Thor misunderstood Hayden.

His secret care for Herman was not entirely due to the misunderstanding that "Hel's" soul was female; another important reason was that he believed the two were in the same boat.

He felt he could understand Hel's awkwardness, but adhering to the principle of seeing through things but not saying them, he only subtly revealed this meaning through his actions.

"Look, I know you were originally a woman, but I'm not a real woman either."

But he didn't realize that Hermann was actually a man.

I hope he never finds out.

On the fifth day after Herman entered his body, Hayden took a day off because he needed to return to his mentor Rum to reinforce the connection between his body and the vessel.

Saul then planned to use this opportunity to have Herman conduct the next experiment—he wanted Herman to enter other corpse containers.

After making other preparations, Saul earnestly warned Herman, "When you enter a body that is not your own, you may feel a strong repulsion. Do not resist it, but if you encounter suspected contamination or alienation, report it immediately."

"Yes," Herman answered immediately, then after a moment, added quietly, "...Master."

Thor chuckled and immediately began taking notes. "It will take about seven days before the tongue, a terminal organ, can be controlled more flexibly."

Subsequently, the soul transfer experiment began.

Thor used a defensive sorcery array that had the power to lock souls and prevent energy from dissipating to trap himself, Herman, and the other two corpses within it.

He then began by transferring Herman's spirit into his own arm, which was capable of absorbing and releasing spirits.

During this time, he discovered that the container did not develop any adhesive properties.

"Is it only me who experiences such a strong suction when entering other containers? The horde of zombies doesn't even seem to care about their own souls, so why are they preventing my soul from leaving their bodies?"

Thor's research on his spirit body is bound to be put on the agenda, but he fears that the special nature of his spirit body comes entirely from his time-traveling experience or the blessing of the diary.

Compared to them, researching resurrection might be a bit simpler.

Herman's spirit was successfully extracted by Thor, but failed when it entered the first male corpse.

The other party is very resistant and has a magnetic force; the closer you get, the stronger this repulsive force becomes.

Thor was able to resist this rejection, but Herman's consciousness was showing signs of disintegration under the pressure of the two forces.

Thor stopped immediately.

"Fortunately, I had another corpse prepared." Thor looked at the female corpse beside him. "Let's try this one."

Thor slowly injected Herman's consciousness into the corpse of the woman beside him.

The repulsive force on the corpse was much weaker this time, but it was still there; it didn't have the same suction force as it had on Thor.

However, because the repulsive force was smaller this time, Herman was able to withstand the pressure from both sides and successfully penetrate the woman's corpse.

"This situation is just like soul infusion." Thor didn't show any joy. He reached out and inverted the hourglass he had prepared beforehand, and started timing.
