Chapter 252 The Diary is in Hand

Chapter 252 The Diary is in Hand

After Yura left, Thor returned to the long table, picked up the communication pen, and wrote a few more words.

She recounted in detail how Wright asked for help and how Yura went alone to help him.

He put down his pen, his eyes flickering.

That night, not knowing whether Yura would suddenly return, Thor did not activate the magic circle on the consciousness platform, but instead chose the safer option of learning witchcraft.

But even after two days, he hadn't heard anything unusual about Wright's place, nor had he seen the Tower Master come to see him.

Everything was calm and peaceful, as if nothing had happened.

These days, something else has started to get on Saul's nerves.

The seed of evil has sprouted.

Once it starts to sprout, the results will be seen in the next day or two.

The incubation process is happening much faster than Kukin said.

The question now is what type of curse will hatch and what its effect will be.

However, since the diary has taken a liking to this seed of evil, it should also provide some commentary on the fruit that hatches from it.

Little Algae was very interested in the Seed of Evil, and even though Thor repeatedly told him not to eat it, he still liked to circle around the Seed of Evil.

Having confirmed that Wright's matter would not affect him for the time being, Thor finally restarted the consciousness platform array that he had put aside for several days.

He specially prepared the most effective magic pigments for drawing dark-attribute magic circles, and copied the entire magic circle from the disassembled diagrams onto the floor of the warehouse.

It took Thor most of the day just to copy and draw the crystals. After that, he placed the magic crystals one by one on the magic transmission points.

Now all we have to do is wait for him to stand on it and activate the magic circle.

Since it was the first attempt, Thor did not modify the magic circle to avoid affecting the presentation of the consciousness platform.

The basic preparations are complete; all that's left is for Thor to stand inside the magic circle and activate it using himself as the energy source.

Before starting, Thor drank a juice extracted from the Grinding Fruit. He also reluctantly swallowed a dose of Heart's Protection.

Before officially starting, Saul glanced at the diary on his left shoulder.

Today's diary entries fluctuated wildly and frequently, much like Thor's heart pounding with anxiety.

"Are you excited too?" Thor licked his chapped lips and took a deep breath.

He then closed his eyes to calm himself down.

The spiritual body began to vibrate, and magic power spread from the hands and feet to the magic circle below.

One by one, the magic crystals were lit up, and countless dark currents surged and intertwined along the patterns until they awakened the entire magic array.

Suddenly, the surrounding walls turned white, and the candlelight shot up dramatically. The flames flickered, leaving streaks of black on the walls.

Behind the stacks of shelves, corpses slowly turned, their stiff necks making cracking sounds.

When the head is turned ninety degrees and the eyelids are opened, pairs of bottomless black holes are revealed.

Thor was too preoccupied to notice the changes around him. In his mind, space began to tremble, the earth cracked, roofs collapsed, and fissures appeared in space.

Peeping eyes came from above, below, and from the spatial rifts all around.

Even with his eyes closed, Thor felt uneasy, as if he were being watched, as if he had been stripped naked on a stage under the spotlight.

Suddenly, time stood still.

After a sigh, the sound of the mirror shattering echoed all around.

Thor opened his eyes, and the scene of the sky and earth collapsing before him continued to crack and fall, revealing a deep darkness behind it.

He blinked, and the shards of the mirror surrounding him shattered again, turning into droplets that scattered in all directions and disappeared into the darkness.

He looked down slightly and saw that he was standing on a huge circular stone platform. The surface of the platform was decorated with a magic circle representing a consciousness platform.

He successfully entered the consciousness platform.

Thor's first reaction was to look at his left shoulder.

However, the diary was no longer there!

A slight lapse in concentration caused the stone platform to tremble.

"Don't rush, calm down," Thor told himself.

Perhaps it was the effect of the grinding fruit, or perhaps it was his self-comfort that worked, but the space finally stabilized again and stopped shaking.

Looking around, Saul found no trace of the diary. Even when he used his spiritual body to examine his inner self, he found no trace of it.

"This is different from the last time I entered the consciousness platform."

This time, Saul didn't panic. Instead, he tried hard to analyze the differences between the two times.

"Last time, the platform contained not only my consciousness, but also the consciousness of Morton and the countless souls he absorbed."

"The platform is now completely clean, which at least means that no one else is spying on me. That's a good thing."

Thor lowered his head and began to examine himself, and then he realized that his current appearance was the same as that of the physical body outside.

In other words, his current ideology is that of someone with light gray skin, a result of a second modification.

"Last time in a crisis, I connected to the diary and managed to get it into my hands, but I couldn't open it and could only use the diary as a brick."

"So last time I didn't really have control over the diary, and therefore I couldn't connect to it and make it my locator."

"So what's still missing?"

Although Saul could follow the same path as last time and get his hands on the diary first.

But deep down, he always felt that if he actually did that, all he would get was an extra brick in his hand.

"Anyway, there's no rush to fight right now, I'll try a few more times."

He began to change his approach.

"I can open the diary from the outside world, turn to any black page, and even view that mysterious golden page. It doesn't make sense that I can't open the diary after entering my consciousness."

"The diary was originally under my control through my consciousness, so now... the diary doesn't recognize my consciousness?"

Thor had a vague feeling that he had grasped something. He looked at his hand, his thoughts churning.

"The space of consciousness is determined by consciousness itself; the appearance of things I see is all based on my perception. But my perception is not 100% accurate. Therefore..."

Thor raised his head and stared straight ahead. After a few breaths, his figure began to change!

Hands and feet continue to grow longer, bones grow, and muscles develop.

The wizard apprentice's robes and boots on his body transformed into a white short-sleeved shirt, gray trousers, and a pair of not-so-shiny black leather shoes.

With a thought, Thor conjured a half-body mirror before his eyes, reflecting his current appearance.

That's exactly what he looks like.

He was still that young man who had just graduated, full of vigor and ambition, waiting for a promotion and a raise to become a winner in life.

"So the person I truly accept is the person I was in my early twenties." Looking at his reflection in the mirror, Thor gave a wry smile, "not the office worker who struggled for over a decade but still achieved nothing, a salted fish that, even after turning over, is still a salted fish."

"So what appeared on the evil spirit bookshelf back then represented my fear not of myself, but of that ordinary, unsuccessful me."

But not anymore.

Thor reached out and grasped a dark red hardcover book in what appeared to be an empty space.

The book cover is embossed with the six characters of the same color: "The Death Wizard's Diary".

With your arm back, support the spine of the book with your index, middle, and ring fingers, and gently open the cover with your thumb.

It was as easy as casually brushing aside a young girl's hair.

"Since I can only access the diary in my current form and with my current level of awareness, it means... the Death Wizard's Diary isn't a legacy I inherited from this body. Rather, it chose me!"

If you ignore Thor's twitching lips from excitement, the way he stands tall, holding the diary, does give him the air of a profound and confident master.
