Death Wizard Diary.

Chapter 215 Mezzanine

Chapter 215 The Mezzanine (Part 3)

To Thor's left was the all-too-familiar crimson door of the morgue.

There were two more doors in front of this gate, which meant that Thor had arrived at the second floor of the East Tower.

"What on earth is Gorsar keeping in the wizard's tower?" Thor could only think this to himself. "When I'm strong enough, I'll tie all those arms and fingers into tight knots!"

After venting his tension and frustration, Thor started having a headache again.

"It's really painful to unleash mental energy as if it were magic."

He ran past the three morgues until he reached the ramp at the end of the ramp and then stopped.

Suddenly he noticed something amiss, slammed on the brakes, and stopped at the corner of the corridor and ramp.

Faint human voices could be heard from ahead.

"I'm so hungry, so hungry."

Thor frowned, a sudden sense of foreboding washing over him. "Not again, is there no safe place in East Tower at night?"

"I'm so hungry!"

"I'm so hungry!"

"So hungry! So hungry! So hungry! So hungry! So hungry!"

The sounds suddenly grew louder, and increasingly more unbearable demands came from various directions.

The cries of hunger seemed to come from all directions, but no matter how Thor looked directly at them or observed them through semi-immersive meditation, he could not see a single person.

Finally, out of the corner of his eye, Thor noticed something white flowing down the wall.

He turned his head and looked closely, and found that it was actually wax left on the candlestick.

He once speculated that each candle in the wizard's tower was connected to a pipe.

A properly functioning candle will burn continuously 24 hours a day because the pipes constantly supply the raw materials for the candle. Only when the candlesticks are damaged will the pipes behind them dry up.

These pipes may seem unattended, but they are perfectly organized, keeping track of which candle needs refueling and which doesn't. Over the years, there has never been a single problem.

Who would have thought that today, when Saul accidentally let his soul escape from the warehouse, he would encounter the strange situation of wax flowing out of the wall.

And it's not just in one place.

To Saul’s surprise, molten wax began to gush out from all the walls around him and from all the candle holders.

Even more terrifying, as the wax covered the walls, the sounds expressing hunger grew louder and louder, surrounding Saul from every angle.

"So hungry! So hungry! So hungry! So hungry! So hungry!"

Seeing this, Thor knew that he was probably in another extremely difficult situation.

He tried to retreat to the second floor of the East Tower, only to find that the wax flowing from the candlesticks behind him had covered the entire floor and walls.

The molten wax on the slope ahead flowed irrationally onto the roof, then dripped down, forming a curtain of rain that completely blocked Thor's path.

"Is this wax dangerous?" Thor looked at the diary.

The diary entry came without warning.

Despite this, Thor remained uneasy.

He knew a little about the composition of wax.

This candle is supposed to keep spirits calm, but the wax in front of me is clearly the one that's acting strangely.

"So hungry! So hungry! So hungry! So hungry! So hungry!"

As more and more wax was applied to the walls, floor, and ceiling, the noise throughout the corridor grew louder and louder.

"I can't let this thing touch me," Thor thought firmly.

But seeing that "rain" had begun to fall in front of him and the wax behind him was accumulating more and more, about to surround him, Thor had no choice but to turn his gaze back to the first floor of the East Tower from which he had just escaped.

"Those 'noodles' shouldn't be able to stay outside for long. If I go back now, I might be able to hide from these raging wax liquids in the dark corridor."

The fact that the diary did not stop him indicates that the arms should have receded and the plan was feasible.

Thor floated up, and the longer he was out of his body, the more comfortable he became with being a ghost.

If he hadn't been out of his body for so long, he really would have become a ghost, and perhaps Thor could have used that opportunity to imitate a wandering night god.

Seeing that the molten wax behind him was climbing up to the ceiling and about to block his way out, Thor quickly floated up and slipped through the molten wax surrounding him.

However, just as Thor was about to escape the encirclement, the candlesticks on both sides of him suddenly burst open, and the molten wax inside sprayed out like a showerhead, drenching Thor from head to toe before he could react.

Thor, who had been floating in mid-air like a bird, suddenly felt as heavy as if his body were filled with lead.

He fell to the ground with a thud, landing solidly in the layer of molten wax that covered the floor.

If a third party were to see Thor at this moment, they would probably be dumbfounded.

Because the moment Thor fell into the molten wax, his spirit instantly melted and merged into the wax beneath him.

Looking from above, you can see a flat Thor in the wax.

"Eat him, eat him, eat him..."

The cry of hunger instantly transformed into a greedy desire, and the white wax liquid, carrying the wandering soul in the dead of night, slowly contracted back into the pipes in the wall.

Everything had almost returned to its original state: clean, dark, tidy, and quiet.

Except for two candles whose lamp holders were broken and fell to the ground near the wall of the dimly lit corridor, rolling forlornly.

As for Saul, he knew something was wrong the moment he was drenched in wax. The only consolation was that the diary still didn't respond.

He was taken away by the wax liquid after transforming into a two-dimensional creature, and after undergoing numerous twists and compressions, he was even squeezed into the pipe.

As the light faded, the owners of those voices all rushed out from the narrow pipe.

Thor can't see, but he can hear and feel.

Countless mouths bit into his spirit body, the sounds of tearing and devouring coming from all directions, from within his body.

"They're going to eat me!"

Although the diary had not yet indicated death, Saul was already struggling in terror.

Especially after he felt one of his eyes detach from its socket and be bitten off by something, he quickly reached out his right hand to try to grab his eye back.

Although his soul had long been twisted and deformed, and his lost eyes were not necessarily real eyes, Thor instinctively felt that they were his important organs.

However, there were too many enemies around, and even if Thor wanted to use his old tricks to cast spells using his mental power, he couldn't.

Because it hurts so much!

His entire body was covered in mouths, tearing and snapping desperately, like a dying beast that had fallen into a lake teeming with piranhas.

Even more difficult, Thor felt his right hand leave his body as well. At that moment, the string that had been taut in his mind snapped!

"Hungry! All you know is hunger!" Thor ignored the pain all over his body and roared from the depths of his soul, "I haven't eaten either! Damn it!"

He then completely ignored the mouths surrounding his body, the pain emanating from the depths of his soul, and the possibility of dying here...

He suddenly opened his mouth and bit down on the unknown, shapeless enemy before him.

Long before he bit off a piece of flesh from the noodle arm, he vaguely realized that if other monsters could devour him, he seemed to be able to devour others as well.

However, due to limitations in conscious awareness, this devouring can currently only be carried out through the mouth.

Thor didn't care whether the diary had any warnings, or whether this biting would bring him any other trouble. His current thought was: the more debts he had, the less he had to worry about!

He swallowed the mouth of the person opposite him whole, and with intense rage, chased after the guy who had bitten off his left eye and right hand into the darkness.

During this time, if anyone bites him, he bites back; if he can't reach something, he simply ignores it and only eats what's in front of him!

Gradually, the number of mouths in front of him decreased, and his speed of movement increased.

Despite being in a narrow tube, Saul still ran at the speed of a 100-meter final.

In his mental perception, the mouth that had stolen his eyes and arms was still in front of him!

With no one daring to bite Thor anymore, and no one daring to stand in his way, Thor finally grabbed the bandit and, without bothering to distinguish which were the enemy's spirits and which were his own, swallowed them whole through the already deformed mouth!

Thor: Ever since I stopped being human...
