Chapter 208 If you keep talking nonsense, I'll kill you.
"I only know his name is Victor, but that doesn't seem to be his real name. He's been hiding in Ralph Manor of the Bloodthorn family for a long time. He lured many people into the castle, where they were eaten by the mutated Ralph. But I don't know the specific reason why he did that," Thor said "truthfully."
After thinking for a moment, he told Kira about Victor's most terrifying ability.
"Victor may not be as strong as you in combat, but he seems to have the ability to blur people's consciousness and memories. When I first entered Ralph Manor, I inexplicably mistook him for my brother. It took me a long time to realize that I had been affected."
As soon as he finished speaking, Thor saw Kira, who had been standing nonchalantly with his back to him, turn around in surprise.
Of course, Kira immediately suppressed his surprised expression after meeting Thor's gaze.
"Ahem... Although he concealed his strength and suppressed his magic, he is still a second-tier wizard. How did you manage to break free from his control... Are you Gorsa's student?"
How should I put it? Thor hadn't received the Tower Master's formal recognition after all, so he used a more tactful way of putting it.
"The Tower Master has indeed taught me a lot."
Kira, being straightforward, assumed he had guessed correctly.
"He doesn't care about other apprentices at all, you're definitely his student now. Counting them, you're already the fifth one, hopefully your ending will be better than the others."
Kira finally looked Thor in the eye. "You look so small and thin. How old are you?"
"Uh, fourteen."
"Tsk tsk tsk..." Kira said disdainfully, "So small, how much time does Gorza intend to spend cultivating this test subject this time?"
Test subject?
Thor was startled and quickly asked, "Lord Kira, what do you mean by 'experiment'?"
Kira, however, showed no signs of nervousness about letting something slip and simply waved his hand dismissively.
"Don't be nervous. Formal wizards don't train newcomers with the real intention of spreading knowledge. They're not that selfless. They're either training assistants or cultivating materials. As for what kind of people the apprentices will eventually become, that depends on their own abilities and in what way they can help the wizards."
Kira seemed quite used to this kind of thing and didn't think he would be particularly alarmed if his words were overheard by an ordinary apprentice.
"Lord Kira," Thor said tentatively, "I know the Tower Master is conducting a complex experiment. I wonder if I can help him."
"It's definitely impossible for you right now. Even Gorza's three previous apprentices didn't seem to have much hope. But your mental strength is indeed... quite outstanding. Perhaps you can help him once you become a full-fledged wizard."
Kira showed a moment of dejection. "Anyway, we've waited for so many years, maybe he can succeed."
It seems Kira knows what Gorza is doing.
Could it be that the Tower Master really wants to resurrect Lady Yura?
Although he usually seems very gentle, he doesn't really seem like a person who is deeply in love.
"Lord Kira, do you...do you know Lady Yura?"
Kira turned away, so Thor couldn't see her expression.
"Ah, of course I know. My cousin, your tower master's wife. She's a stubborn woman who makes you want to kill her."
Perhaps the mention of Yura made Kira somewhat sad or unhappy, because she didn't speak again for the rest of the trip, nor did she give Thor a chance to ask any more questions.
Kira's cold, hard aura forced Thor to shut up for the time being.
After all, if you anger the other party, they can just throw him off the giant bird!
The two rode on a giant bird and arrived at their destination in less than an hour.
The simple yet lonely figure of the wizard tower appeared before Thor's eyes.
He exclaimed that flying mounts were truly a great mode of transportation!
Thor was already fantasizing in his mind that when he became powerful, he could also get a big flying bird to use for transportation... or to show off.
As they approached the Wizard's Tower, Kira commanded the giant bird to descend.
As one of the few second-tier wizards on the western continent, Kira's visit to the Wizard Tower naturally didn't require him to enter through the two entrances on the ground like an apprentice.
She took Thor directly to the top of the wizard tower.
Gorsa emerged from the small door at the top of the wizard's tower just as the giant bird stepped onto the horizontal railing at the top.
Thor quickly dispelled the adhesive spell and jumped off the giant bird's back.
"Lord of the Tower." He walked over and bowed respectfully to Gorsa.
Gorza, draped in a brown-red cloak, nodded, gesturing for Thor to stand behind him.
Thor ran over immediately.
Kira then jumped off the giant bird.
"The place where the soul storm just occurred is clearly closer to your wizard tower, so why haven't you shown up yet even though I'm already here?"
Kira raised his chin slightly and suddenly laughed. "You're not really going to mutate, are you?"
Gorza's face was hidden under his hood, so Thor couldn't see his expression.
He said slowly in a gentle voice, "If you talk nonsense again, I'll kill you."
Kira's provocative expression faltered. He stopped worrying about Gorsa's physical condition and instead pointed at Thor, saying, "A strange second-tier wizard has appeared on your territory, and you don't even care? I even went out of my way to save your good student."
Thor: "?"
"Thank you." Gorsallo nodded. "You can go back now."
Kira: "?"
"I'll handle the rest," Gorsa said calmly, as if unaware of how infuriating his words were.
Kira immediately became enraged.
"I specially brought him here instead of leaving him there, just to wait for you to say thank you?"
Gorza, however, asked, "Did you fight with them?"
Kira was taken aback.
"So what else are you dissatisfied with?" Gorsa's voice held a hint of amusement. "Are you starting to get interested in other people's schemes and plots?"
Kira stroked his chin, pondered for a moment, and then actually jumped back behind the giant bird.
"I'm not interested, but I'm not stupid either. If anyone tries to take over Kema's territory, I'll cut them to pieces." Kira waved his fist at Gorza.
Gorsa nodded cooperatively. "I will let you know when the enemy appears."
Kira nodded in satisfaction.
Before leaving, she glanced at Thor one last time.
"I hope your new apprentice will perform better than those previous losers. Of course, if you ever decide to quit, just tell me and I'll come and take Yura away."
Gorsa remained silent.
Kira looked at Gorza, feeling it would be cowardly to leave like this, so he clenched his fist and added, "Or, when I surpass you, I'll take her with me!"
After uttering those harsh words, Kira didn't wait for Gorza's reaction before quickly riding away on the giant bird.
After Kira disappeared into the horizon, Gorsar turned to Thor, glanced at him from head to toe, and said, "The difference between your soul and body has widened, and your compatibility has decreased. Your problem is more serious. Haven't you figured out a solution yet?"
"I have an idea." Thor lowered his head slightly, still thinking about the "alienation" that Kira had just mentioned.
In the wizarding world, the term "alienation" is very similar to "pollution."
"Could it be that the tower master's health is really in trouble?"
Gorsa noticed that Thor was a little uneasy and put a hand on his shoulder.
"Let's go back and talk. It seems you encountered some unexpected dangers on this trip."
If nothing unexpected happens...
