Chapter 168 Evil Thoughts

Chapter 168 Evil Thoughts

Thor suddenly stood up, and the chair behind him crashed to the ground with a loud thud.

Angela, who was already distracted, was startled. A pair of large, bright eyes appeared above the page, blinking rapidly like a frightened fawn.

She is fifteen years old this year and has begun to show the beauty of a young girl. Among the group of wizard apprentices, her appearance is very eye-catching.

Unfortunately, beauty is worthless in the wizarding world, and weakness will only become a reason for others to attack you.

As she watched Thor walk around the lab table and approach her step by step, Angela's eyes gradually changed from doubt to wariness.

She stood up, a short black wand already in her hand. "Thor, what do you need?"

Thor stared at Angela's exposed white neck with a gloomy face, without saying a word.

Angela grew increasingly nervous. Thor's expression was completely different from before, as if he were a different person.

She quickly looked down at her left hand, her face changed drastically, and she retreated in a panic, knocking the chair behind her to the side.

Angela raised her short wand, gripping it tightly with both hands, the tip trembling incessantly. "Thor, I think there's something wrong with you right now. Are you even conscious? I'll inform Card right now... Ah!"

Angela was halfway through her sentence when Thor suddenly lunged at her.

Without hesitation, she activated her short wand, and a beam of black light shot from one end toward Thor's face. The black light transformed into an octopus in mid-air, suddenly spreading out to block Thor's escape routes from eight angles.

But Thor didn't even try to dodge. With a flick of his wrist, a semi-transparent worm flew out and crashed into the black octopus.

Despite being an illusory insect body, it directly knocked the black octopus aside.

The black octopus began to show holes in the air, just like tender leaves being gnawed by insects.

When Angela saw that her witchcraft was easily broken, she knew that Thor had just used a level 1 witchcraft. But how could a level 1 witchcraft be activated so quickly?

Her eyes widened as she realized that her magical artifacts were no match for first-tier magic, and the first-tier magic she possessed was only supportive; she had no other powerful methods.

Angela quickly turned around and reached for a crystal ball beside her.

However, Angela had only taken one step when her left foot was grabbed by a transparent hand, which pulled her backward forcefully, causing her to fall to the ground with a thud.

"The Mage's Hand? Casting spells continuously! Doesn't he need to calm his mind?" Ignoring the pain in her body, Angela rolled over.

An arrow materialized in Angela's forehead and shot out instantly.

At this moment, Thor charged straight at him.

Seeing Thor leap into the air, Angela was overjoyed. Her opponent had nowhere to avoid it now, and he had already used up his first-tier magic. Now she had a chance to turn the tide.

Unexpectedly, the next second, a thick, black, python-like tentacle suddenly emerged from behind Thor's neck and wrapped around the arrow.

Thor then landed on Angela, pinning her to the ground. His skeletal hand showed no mercy as he pressed it against Angela's face, while his other hand took the arrow handed to him by Xiaozao and stabbed it fiercely into Angela's eyes.

"Waaaaah..." The black arrowhead rapidly magnified before her eyes. Angela opened her eyes wide in terror, unable to scream, only able to sob.

However, at the last moment, the arrow hovered just short of Angela's pupils.

Thor threw away the arrow in his hand.

Because of the excessive force used, the arrow shattered into several pieces, which scattered on the ground with a crash.

Thor slowly stood up, releasing his grip on Angela, leaving a horrifying bone mark on the girl's fair face.

His gaze swept over Angela's left hand, which had just been completely dark, but quickly returned to normal after Thor let go.

If Thor hadn't paid special attention to Angela's hands, he probably wouldn't have noticed the change.

"Angela."

"Huh?" Angela trembled as she got up, but dared not refuse.

"I suddenly feel really hungry for some reason. Did you bring any food?"

"I, I didn't..."

"Never mind then." Thor returned to the lab table, took the two books he had brought with him, as if the murderous intent he had just felt was just Angela's illusion.

Just before closing the door, Thor glanced back at Angela, whose shoulders visibly trembled.

The door slammed shut with a bang.

Angela sat up abruptly, her face filled with grief and indignation. In a panic, she grabbed a short knife from the lab table, raised it high in her right hand, and was about to stab herself in the left arm.

But her left hand suddenly turned black and grew larger, dodging left and right, transforming into the black tentacle it had just used to evade Angela's attack and quickly wrapping around her right hand.

The tentacles contracted forcefully, and Angela's right hand muscles and bones groaned in unbearable strain.

She could no longer hold the dagger; her fingers twisted in agony. The dagger clattered to the ground.

Angela's initial resistance was easily thwarted, and she collapsed to her knees in despair.

After a long while, she actually laughed through her tears.

"How dare you interfere with him! Do you think he's just some ordinary apprentice? I don't need to kill you; someone else will take care of you. Hahahaha..."

With his left hand releasing Angela's right hand, his arm returned to its normal shape.

Angela leaned back, looking at the laboratory ceiling, and suddenly murmured, "Your scapegoat has been caught. If he reappears, they won't fall for it again."

Suddenly, the laboratory door was pushed open again, revealing half of Thor's face.

When Angela saw that face, she was so frightened that she immediately crawled backward on all fours, but she quickly realized something was wrong. Suddenly, she grabbed the short wand fragment on the ground and threw it against the door.

"Get out! Look again and I'll tear your face off!"

The half of Thor's face immediately blurred like a painting soaked in water, the lines quickly becoming indistinct, and finally fading into a white mask, before sullenly retreating back into the doorway.

……

Thor, carrying two books, hurried towards the East Tower.

Having just finished reading the story of the Nightmare Butterfly, Thor suddenly felt the same intense hunger as in his dream.

At first, he thought it was the book he was reading that had triggered the effects of his nightmare.

But he soon realized something was wrong.

If this book truly had such a powerful influence, it wouldn't be placed on the fourteenth shelf; it should be hidden in the deepest part of the library.

Even Thor, with his immense mental strength, was so clearly affected.

Wouldn't the other apprentices go crazy in no time if they read the book?

Thor resists the maddening force while searching for the source of the anomaly in a semi-immersive manner.

Soon, he saw a thin black line connecting his left hand and Angela's left hand.

How dare Angela attack him?

Thor sneered inwardly and immediately went along with her madness, pretending to be affected and wanting to eat Angela.

As he fought Angela, the thin black lines continued to exert effects of fear and confusion on Thor.

However, having survived the initial madness, Thor, whose mental body was operating wildly, was no longer affected.

Angela suffered repeated defeats, and the thin black lines retracted.

If Thor were to thrust his arrow in, Angela would be doomed.

But just as he was hesitating about whether to kill, the diary suddenly appeared and stopped him.

October 3th, 316th year of the lunar calendar

An invitation from evil thoughts to you.

You gladly agreed to dance with her.

Just be careful not to damage its new body.

Otherwise, it will have to find another one nearby.

But the pitiful evil thought is unaware of this.

There is a new baby inside the new body, waiting to be fed.

When the baby devours innocent evil thoughts,

He will grow up to be a bad child.

Guess what?

Once you become the new host of the Demon Nightmare Butterfly,

How long can rationality last?

Will you ultimately become Gorza's new collectible, or Rum's trump card?

Angela must not be killed!

Upon seeing the diary, Saul's anger immediately subsided.

Angela is definitely not just schizophrenic.

It is probably evil thoughts that are the real culprit.

The baby inside Thor is naturally the cocoon of the Nightmare Butterfly, and if the cocoon transforms into a butterfly, even a formal wizard will go mad. Thor must not let the cocoon devour his evil thoughts.

He let Angela off the hook for now, but this matter won't end so easily.

Thor quickly arrived at the second floor of the East Tower, outside the second morgue.

He raised his hand and knocked on the door.

It was very quiet inside.

The diary entry also indicates that the Nightmare Butterfly is about to hatch.

Perhaps with just a little more energy, the cocoon will grow into a butterfly.

The Death Wizard's Diary only provides hints about things of value. The cocoon of the Nightmare Butterfly that catches its eye is no ordinary thing. If it were to actually transform into a butterfly, Thor didn't know if he could control it with his own will.

"Senior Hayden, are you in there?" There was no answer from the morgue, so Thor knocked again.

The gate was locked; perhaps Hayden hadn't arrived yet.

Hayden doesn't usually attend general classes or go to the lab. If he's not here, he'll probably just stay in his dorm room.

As Thor pondered whether to go to the other person's dorm room to wait for them, the sound of a lock being opened suddenly rang out.

The scarlet door was opened a crack, revealing half of Hayden's eye.

Thor smiled broadly. "Senior Hayden, I'd like to ask you to help me with a minor surgery."

Hayden's eyes darted to the name tag on Thor's chest, and he immediately opened the door, poking his head out. "What does Senior Thor need me to do?"

Calling a kid who entered the tower later than himself "senior" was a little awkward, but Hayden, who was nearly thirty but still a first-level apprentice, was already used to it.

Wizards value strength above all else.

"I need you to remove something from my left eye. Of all the people I know, you are the most skilled at this kind of surgery."

Hayden's expression changed, and he shook his head repeatedly, "No, no, no, I can't! Thor, I've always taken things from the dead, I've never touched a living person."

"It's alright, I promise I'll stay perfectly still, like a dead man," Thor said earnestly.

happy New Year!
