Chapter 16 I Don't Need Special Services
Chapter 16 I Don't Need Special Services
"Sir, thank you for saving me." Thor got up from the ground. Although his legs were still a little weak, he insisted on standing up and looking directly at the man with pink bandages.
"New apprentice, do not stay alone in the East Tower until you have gained sufficient knowledge and strength. At night, only your dormitory is safe."
His voice was low, but exceptionally clear.
"I'm sorry, sir, I didn't know..."
"Don't say you've seen me before."
Thor was interrupted by the person opposite him before he could finish speaking.
The bandaged man raised his hand and waved, a gentle breeze blew by, and Thor unconsciously blinked.
When he opened his eyes again, Thor found himself standing outside the door of dormitory 604.
He quickly scanned the corridors on both sides; the dim candlelight flickered slightly, and all was silent.
Without a second thought, Thor opened the door and rushed into the dormitory.
……
It's past midnight.
The blue hourglass instantly reversed, and the sand that had been filled to the brim fell back down, while time continued to flow slowly.
The two dormitory doors on the eleventh floor of the West Tower opened simultaneously.
Mark walked from the dimly lit room into the even darker corridor and looked at the door diagonally opposite.
"It's past midnight, our agreement ends here. I will only use my fists this once. Whether he survives or not, he will always be my junior."
At this moment, Mark showed no impatience or smile.
West Germany emerged from the dormitory diagonally opposite, a faint smile on his face.
"Of course, this was something we agreed on a long time ago. But don't you want to know why I'm so determined to kill that kid?"
"I don't want to." Mark said, retreating back to his dorm room and slamming the door shut.
"How boring. People who deal with corpses all day long are like this."
West Germany's golden hair appeared dull and lifeless in the dim candlelight. He lowered his head, and the candlelight and shadows divided his face into several sections.
His expression twisted for a moment, then returned to its gloomy state in an instant.
"That diary must be on that kid. It only reappears when its previous owner dies. You brat, you're just too lucky. The diary I've been searching for for years just fell right into your lap."
Sid's right hand clenched a few times, as if he could still recall the subtle sensation of grasping that hardcover book.
Unfortunately, due to inertia, he only realized that it was what he was looking for after he threw the book away.
However, when he kicked Saul's body aside and frantically searched his body, he discovered that the hardcover book had disappeared.
Thor beneath his feet resumed breathing.
There's only one explanation: the hardcover book saved him!
Looking at Saul's childish face, Sid wanted to kill him with his own hands countless times.
But no, according to my grandfather's records, the diary would not be obtained by the murderer who killed its owner.
Alternative arrangements must be made.
Sid retreated slowly back to his dormitory and closed his eyes tightly.
"The Death Wizard's Diary, what is it about you that makes you so alluring? Why did my grandfather kill all his relatives and friends just to have you?"
West Germany, though full of doubts, remained steadfast in its convictions.
He had to get what his outstanding grandfather had been so passionately pursuing!
……
After a chaotic, dangerous, and crazy day, Thor still has to get up early to go to class tomorrow.
Reality is truly disheartening.
It was midnight, and he lay in bed forcing himself to fall asleep.
But the eerie and terrifying scene in the laboratory kept replaying in his mind.
Is the anomaly in the lab related to Mark? And why did he kill himself?
Who exactly is that man with the pink bandage? Could he be one of the five mentors?
"It doesn't seem very polite to keep calling him 'Pink Bandage Man'," Thor thought of something trivial to cheer himself up. "He's so amazing, he subdued all the weirdos in one go. Let's just call him Pink Big Man for now."
In his drowsy state, Thor felt he was about to fall asleep.
"Knock knock knock!"
Why is someone knocking on the door? Is it already morning? Is Claire here to see me?
Saul jumped up, turned on the light, and realized it was only a little past one o'clock.
"Knock knock knock!"
The person outside was still knocking on the door.
Thor didn't want to go. Having just experienced such a terrifying scene, he was now paranoid and extremely nervous.
"grown ups."
The person outside couldn't wait any longer and called out softly. It turned out to be the maid from earlier that day.
Saul walked to the door and opened it a crack.
It was indeed the maid from earlier that day.
She was wearing a pink silk cloak at the moment.
Only her beautiful face and fair neck were visible; below that... it seemed she wasn't wearing anything at all.
Thor stood inside the doorway.
What are you doing here?
"Sir," the maid smiled, a blush rising on her face, "I know you're still young, but wouldn't you like to touch it?"
As soon as she finished speaking, the maid raised her hand, and the silk slipped smoothly against her bare skin to her feet, revealing...
A body carved from wood!
Thor jerked back to close the door, but the other person stuck their head in, their face wedged in the crack, only their mouth showing.
The lips parted, and a loud shout rang out.
"Save me...kill me! Kill me! Kill me!"
……
"Knock knock knock!"
It was still the knocking on the door.
Thor suddenly opened his eyes and gasped for air.
"Was it a dream?"
He jumped out of bed, turned on the candlelight, and looked at the hourglass clock.
12:30.
It was definitely a dream.
Thor picked up the crystal ball from the table and slowly approached the door.
"Who's outside?"
It was quiet outside.
"I don't need any special services," Saul raised his voice.
"...It's me, Kongsha."
"..."
Thor didn't really want to open the door. Who knew if it was Kongsa outside, or something else entirely?
But he can't stay in the dormitory forever.
The door was opened a crack, the kind that could be closed at any time.
Outside, a woman wearing a long dress and a hood, revealing only her delicate chin, stood there with a slight downturn at the corners of her mouth.
"Lord Kongsa."
Saul stepped aside, and Kongsa walked straight in. She sat in Saul's chair and lifted the hat off her head.
Kongsa's head was still terrifying, but Thor, who had just escaped death in the laboratory, was already able to face it numbly and calmly.
"Your apprenticeship is quite exciting, isn't it? You're so young and already people want to sleep with you?"
Kong Sha crossed one leg over the other, one hand supporting her elbow and the other her chin, revealing her sexy and slender figure.
If it weren't for that half-head, she would be more attractive than any maid.
"You've finally come to see me." Thor closed the door behind him.
"Shouldn't you understand your situation now?"
"If you mean, Lady Kongsha, that my strongest elemental perception was inexplicably transformed into dark element... then I think I understand my situation."
"Hmph!" Kong Sha snorted lightly, "Do you think your elemental perception is very strong? If I hadn't helped you, you probably wouldn't have even been able to choose your major element."
Solton paused for a moment, and it was very likely that what Kongsa said was true.
During his meditation, he discovered that he seemed to be able to perceive all elemental particles, but his perception of each one was not strong.
He walked up to Kong Sha and softened his tone, "Senior Kong Sha, are you here to help me?"
"Of course, or should I provide you with special services?" Kong Sha sneered, opening her hand to reveal a small medicine bottle.
It was the very same medicine bottle that had been used to treat Thor's wounds.
"Senior, what's this?"
"This is a potion that can temporarily enhance your perception of dark elements."
"Is this the medicine I drank last time?"
"Not exactly the same. Take one drop of this before your daily meditation to maintain heightened awareness for several hours. After a month of adjustment, I will give you a new potion to help you reach 10 joules of magic power in your first test."
How did she know I needed to reach 10 joules of magic power in the first test? Who told her?
Thor looked at the potion before him, tempted but not immediately accepting it.
"Senior, may I ask what the side effects of this medicine might be?"
