Chapter 1003 He is the former master
Seeing Kismet resume his usual Riddler routine, Thor chuckled, then suddenly launched an attack on him.
Several translucent gray tentacles emerged from Kismet’s head, feet, and the wall behind him, looking at him at first glance like a sea anemone with its mouth open.
Kismet could only run forward, but Thor appeared in front of Kismet in a flash.
Kismet wasn't afraid at all; instead, his eyes showed excitement, as if he had long wanted to fight Thor like this.
He paused, his harp, which had been spinning in his hands, and his ring and little fingers quickly swept across the strings.
Two sharp string sounds rang out, the air rippled slightly, and invisible sound waves spread out in all directions.
Before the sound waves could get close, three eyes suddenly appeared on Thor's forehead and cheeks. The eye on his forehead blinked, and the vibrations in the air immediately disappeared.
The other two eyes, however, turned to Kismet simultaneously. Thor's pair of black eyes and his pair of colorful star-like eyes blinked in unison.
Just as Kismet was about to dodge, he felt a "buzz" in his head, as if something slippery had squeezed between his brain and skull.
Kismet immediately snapped a harp string, flicked his fingers, and the string plunged into the back of his head.
However, from Kismet's perspective, the string pierced his skull and nearly penetrated his cerebral cortex, but he could no longer detect the uninvited guest inside his brain.
His expression changed slightly, and his excited smile could no longer be maintained.
"Master, brother, you don't need to unleash your ultimate move right from the start, do you? We're on the same side."
The guitar string inserted into the back of his head instantly softened, just like Kismet's attitude. It blended into his soft, silver hair, gradually becoming indistinct.
Thor snorted coldly, and the eyes on his face slowly disappeared.
He certainly went all out against Kismet from the start. This guy is incredibly cunning; if he can't be subdued as quickly as possible, he'll definitely run away as soon as he realizes the situation is unfavorable.
Even if Thor can sense Kismet's fate line, it won't be easy for him to catch him again.
Thor retracted the tentacles that filled the room and teleported back to the experimental table where he had just been sitting.
The two people's positions and postures remained unchanged, as if the brief battle just now was nothing but an illusion.
But both Thor and Kismet knew that Thor's sudden attack was actually a demonstration of his strength to Kismet.
After entering the fourth tier, Thor had a stronger grasp on himself, and could even easily control his star-shaped eyes, which he had previously been hesitant to use.
Moreover, he discovered that even if he used the Star Eyes excessively, nothing like mutation or alienation would happen; instead, he would uncontrollably transform into the form of the Fate Thread.
This was a state he had never experienced before advancing to the fourth rank.
It seems that his starry eyes prefer his other form.
To prevent overuse of his eyes and a sudden transformation, Thor doesn't use his starry eyes for extended periods. Using them is like unleashing a finishing move.
"If you're truly on my side, then stop beating around the bush. What are you doing here all of a sudden? What is Douglas's real purpose? If you can't tell the truth, then don't speak, or I'll personally dig out your brain to examine it."
Kismet scratched the back of his head. "Okay, okay, I was just trying to lighten the mood. Life's already so boring, why can't we have some fun?"
Thor remained silent, only staring at Kismet.
Kismet couldn't continue, raised his hands in surrender, and finally became a little more obedient.
"I'm here to help you. That's absolutely true. If you don't believe me, you can look at me again with those colored eyes. Where did you get those eyes? I know you took them out when you caused a scene in the courtroom. But I only heard about it afterwards; I didn't see them, which is a real shame. I really want to see what my little master looks like when he turns into a bunch of eyes~"
Kismet veered off-topic again, but thankfully he managed to bring the conversation back on track.
"Oh, right, as for Douglas, believe me, he truly wants the Eye of the Abyss to die completely. For a sixth-tier being like that, perhaps annihilation would be a more appropriate word. Of course, although he comes from the wizarding world, he doesn't care about the life or death of that world."
"The reason he helped you and did so much research for the Star Gate Council was because he was afraid you would die too quickly and be easily swallowed by the abyss, thus delaying his observations. After all, it could be hundreds or thousands of years before he encountered the annihilation of a sixth-order death again."
"So," Kismet stepped forward, eyebrows raised, eyes wide, and a small grin spreading across his face, "my little brother master, if you're too slow, he might use some more extreme methods to help you grow up quickly!"
Kismet's brow suddenly split open, revealing an eye with a colored pupil. But it only rolled its eyeball in front of Thor before turning its head and burrowing back under his skin. Then the skin closed up again, and everything returned to normal.
"It sounds like you're not lying this time, but I still feel like you're hiding a lot of things." Thor was considering whether to force Kismet to output.
But at that moment, Kismet suddenly took two steps back, raised his hand and rubbed his temples, the very spot where the starry eyes had just grown.
Of course, he didn't touch anything, but his expression became even more serious.
"What did you put on me?"
Saul doesn't deny it either, "This is the guarantee that allows us to continue our cooperation."
Kismet couldn't help but touch his forehead again, feeling a tingling sensation all over his body.
"You might not believe me, but I really am here to help you. Please let me know if you need anything for the experiment!"
"You weren't sent by Douglas to supervise the construction, were you? You were stationed at the airport before, were you afraid I'd run away and not do the work?"
Thor suddenly felt like he was being watched.
Kismet is probably keeping watch at the airport every day to pinpoint Saul's whereabouts.
"Hehe," Kismet rubbed his nose, "I swear Douglas ordered me to do all this. If you're not happy about it, I can tell you about Douglas too."
"Do you want to hear it?" Kismet suddenly opened his eyes wide and looked at Thor with utmost seriousness.
Saul immediately said, "Just say what's useful."
It's useless; if you're lying, you should shut up.
Kismet pursed his lips, then couldn't help but smile. He knew Thor wouldn't refuse information about Douglas.
"You already know that Douglas is also a member of our wizarding world, but you may not know that Douglas was the true owner of the Deathly Hallows Diary in the previous generation."
Thor suddenly looked up, recalling a past scene he had seen through the Nightmare Butterfly.
The corpses there were piled up into small mountains, and the mastermind behind all this killing simply admitted the experiment had failed. In the end, he didn't even want the diary anymore and tore up all the white pages that contained records.
"So that person was Douglas."
