Chapter 65 "Disaster"

Chapter 65 "Disaster"

Bethel's combo was unbearable for any demigod; it attacked too many times in a short period of time with overwhelming force.

Even the powerful attacks from several Sequence 3 levels mixed in pose a significant threat to Sequence 3.

In Bethel's eyes, the witch within the space performed several mirror substitutions or wand substitutions to avoid injury, or to freeze herself in solid ice to resist various attacks.

However, there are limits to all of this. Once the witch's accumulated resources are exhausted, her fate is predictable.

Bethel plans to capture the witch first and bring her back to the Dreamland for trial.

But alas, life is ever-changing...

boom!

A bolt of lightning struck everyone's hearts, and at the edge of the battlefield, Bethel and the witch simultaneously froze, unable to move.

The attacks from those demigods and even those at Sequence Three were all frozen in place, including the spatial concealment.

Under this bolt of lightning, the two were as weak as ordinary people.

Both Bethel and the witch subconsciously looked up at the manifested astral plane.

The war in the astral plane had already been decided. The Elf King's body completely collapsed, and countless essences scattered in all directions, landing in every corner of the world.

No one dared to snatch it, but Bethel's expression quickly hardened as he looked at the shimmering lights.

A huge "meteor" was shooting towards the edge of the battlefield where he was!

"A convergence of extraordinary characteristics?" Bethel frowned slightly. He sensed nothing unusual. "They're not coming for me."

"It's a witch!" Bethel caught a glimpse of the witch he had just been fighting out of the corner of his eye. The witch's alluring eyes were fixed on the ball of lightning, as if she was about to charge forward.

Stop it! Bethel reached out to create a spatial rift, intending to guide the electric snake into the spirit world.

However, as soon as he made his move, he felt an unparalleled sense of crisis. The "astrologer's" ability allowed him to see himself being hit by a "meteor"!

"travel"!

Bethel's expression was serious; he wanted to get completely away from that "shooting star."

Everything around him was becoming conceptual; reality was like a faded oil painting, the ink gradually losing its color. Bethel had already seen the bizarre and fantastical spirit world.

The "trip" simply failed.

The "meteor" exerted immense pressure on the surrounding spirit world simply by approaching, drastically increasing the difficulty of "opening the door."

"Don't go." The witch's alluring voice, which even made Bethel shudder, came, and a feeling of restraint appeared under Bethel's feet.

It was a complex and mysterious spider web that extended to Bethel's feet, within which black flames burned, scorching Bethel's spirit and preventing him from successfully "opening the door" to travel.

Bethel's expression changed drastically, and in an instant, the "shooting star" fell into the hands of the witch opposite him.

The lightning gradually subsided, revealing its true nature: a dark and profound mirror, seemingly containing countless things and spaces within.

Bethel's voyeuristic eye, which hadn't had time to close, received some information from the mirror.

boom!

The flood and tsunami instantly overwhelmed his consciousness. A terrifying earthquake struck, shattering the ground beneath him and threatening to plunge him into the endless abyss.

hum!

A burst of dreamlike phosphorescence pulled Bethel directly out of the catastrophic environment.

"It's a characteristic of the high-ranking Witch Path!" Bethel remembered what his teacher had said: the high-ranking Witch Path also wields the power of disaster!

This aligns to some extent with the "Cataclysmic" storm path that the elves are in!

Perhaps the Elf King inadvertently consumed "Disaster" while randomly consuming traits!

Oh no! Bethel's mood darkened.

The witch's eyes were filled with joy; this quality allowed her to become an angel!

"Do you know what? Everything you have now should belong to me!"

The witch held the dark mirror and turned its surface towards Bethel, slowing his movements and preventing him from jumping into the spirit world smoothly.

The mirror attacked everyone within its range indiscriminately, but the witches of the same sequence had better resistance and completely seized the initiative.

"If I become His apprentice, I won't have to drink that damned 'witch' potion!" Chick's face gradually contorted, and she, holding the dark mirror, was also heading towards a state of losing control.

"'Witch'? Why specifically mention this Sequence Seven?"

Although his body was restricted, Bethel's consciousness remained unaffected. Looking at Chik's distorted face, he gradually realized something.

Even in such a dangerous situation, Bethel still managed to ask a question.

"You used to be a man? Now you've become a witch?!"

Bethel didn't quite understand, but he was certainly deeply shocked.

He had seen witches in the Creator's Kingdom, but those witches all possessed complete inheritances of mystical knowledge and knew the hidden rules of a path before choosing it.

And the witch's portrayal...

Guh! Remembering the special role-playing requirements of the Witch Sequence, Bethel's Adam's apple bobbed. Even "keeping secrets" couldn't keep his heart from being kept.

If that's really the case...

"What a crazy world." This is something Bethel often heard from his teacher.

At this moment, he seemed to have gained a little insight.

"Ah!" Bethel's words caused Chick to scream in agony, his scream filled with despair.

I don't know if it was partly because of the dim mirror, and partly because of Bethel's gaze.

Her hair seemed to transform into venomous snakes, flicking their tongues as she coldly stared at Bethel.

Bethel inappropriately showed a hint of pity.

Chick caught this glimmer of pity, which drove her even more insane.

"You deserve to die!"

Perhaps it was because certain emotions in Chick's heart perfectly matched certain characteristics of the Witch Path that the Dark Mirror in her hand had a slightly weaker influence on her.

At the same time, Bethel's situation became even more dangerous, as an invisible force acted upon him, and his skin began to petrify.

"Wander!" Bethel exhaled softly, then an ability recorded in a phantom book appeared in his eyes.

That was recorded by his teacher himself. Although it was a Sequence 3 skill, it came from an angel-level "Planetary Planeswalker"!

The oppressive aura of the dark mirror vanished instantly, and Bethel's body disappeared, leaping away from the battlefield via the astral plane.

"Ah!" Chick screamed, but dared not linger there; the trace of that electric snake was too obvious.

Her body became invisible in the air. She found a puddle that could serve as a mirror, jumped into the mirror world, and quickly moved away.

Afterwards, some extraordinary humans came to search for it, but they found no trace of it.

However, Bethel's final "wandering" triggered the senses in Truman's Ancient Man's glove.

"Are you in danger?" Truman paused, slowly shook his head, and continued to tour the dilapidated elven kingdom, picking up one or two demigod-level magical items.
