In Douluo Continent, Tang San raids my base right from the start.

Author's Note on the Launch of Chapter 84

Author's Note on the Launch of Chapter 84

Before I knew it, I'd already written three Douyi novels, and this is the fourth. To be honest, I'm getting a bit numb; my passion has waned, and I can't think of any good ideas anymore. If nothing unexpected happens, this should be the last one.

Here, I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone!

This book does indeed contain some personal touches. The author wanted to try original content in the next book, so he added a few original plot points when conceiving the outline.

The Star Dou Great Forest storyline, in particular, is a bit too long, which the author anticipated.

I wrote the Beastmaster Sect as a completely original faction. Long Ling'er is the sect's Holy Maiden, and Zi Ji is a cold and beautiful elder. When I was conceiving the story, I imagined the protagonist going on a dungeon run with the Holy Maiden, accompanied by the cold and beautiful elder. They encountered various difficulties, faced powerful enemies, the Holy Maiden was injured, and the cold and beautiful elder was attacked. The protagonist cleverly dealt with the situation, rescuing both the Holy Maiden and the elder. After returning to the sect, the Holy Maiden developed feelings for the protagonist, and the cold and beautiful elder, out of gratitude, treated the protagonist well. Then, they experienced various events, and he completely fell in love with her.

But this is fan fiction. How many words would it take to write a map of a sect?

Can I write a rough outline to practice my writing? So I did, and then something went wrong. It turns out I was still too young and inexperienced to handle things properly.

As I wrote, I realized I wasn't encountering any major difficulties. Besides, from the protagonist's perspective, this was indeed a great opportunity to learn skills from the ferocious beasts; anyone with a brain wouldn't miss it.

If you're going to write about it, you have to at least briefly describe the process, otherwise how did the protagonist learn it? If you don't describe the process at all, and then suddenly a narrator appears explaining that the skill was learned from a ferocious beast, and roughly how it was learned, it would be a waste of readers' money, and you'd get flamed for it.

In addition, there may be a feeling of being forced to make assumptions when in doubt, which is very annoying.

Moreover, since the goal is to recruit Long Ling'er and Zi Ji, a process must be written.

Thus, the storyline, with learning skills and leveling up as the main focus and flirting with girls as a subplot, was created.

To be honest, I knew it would affect the results when I was halfway through writing, but it was too late to stop then. Ending abruptly would not only affect the plot outline but also lead to excessive padding after publication, which would be even more unfair to my readers. After much thought, I decided to write more free words, which would also help me get some recommendations, and I could reduce the amount of padding after publication, making the exciting parts more focused.

When it comes to fanfiction, I often feel that following the main storyline and getting entangled with the main characters is what makes it feel like filler. I used to think that way when I read fanfiction too, like, "What the hell is this? I want to see Tang San get tortured and pick up girls on the side!"

The author can understand these things, after all, the author was a reader once too.

However, once you truly become an author, the completeness and plausibility of the plot are issues that must be considered, which is why many readers are willing to read my books.

The plot is reasonable and doesn't make the story too simplistic, which is one of the author's few strengths.

Of course, another advantage is that the book is guaranteed to be completed and will not be cut off.

As for the pretentious, face-slapping, and romance plots, well, those who know, know how the author writes about romance—it's all tears!

Regardless, I hope everyone will continue to support me. If you don't like it, feel free to leave it aside; after all, everyone has their own preferences, and the author can't guarantee that every book will be of high quality.

It will be available tomorrow, Wednesday, at 12 noon. Please support it if you like it!

As for updates, I guarantee at least three chapters a day, with occasional extra chapters!

Of course, there's a chance I might suddenly get stuck. After all, I'm an older man and can't always stay up all night, so please understand.

In conclusion, thank you all for your long-term companionship and support!

Finally, I'd like to shamelessly ask for your support with an initial subscription.
