Traversing countless worlds from the primordial era

"Integrating the primordial spirit into the laws? How is that possible!" Lei Ming subconsciously thought that Luo Hou was lying to him. The laws are supreme. Unless one reaches the Great Dao Realm and completely controls the laws, no one can change them.

Luo Hou sneered, "How long have you been cultivating? How much do you understand about the laws? Back then, Chaos gave birth to three thousand Chaos Demon Gods. Each Chaos Demon God was favored by the Great Dao and comprehended the laws within Chaos. The strength of Chaos Demon Gods far surpasses that of ordinary Primordial Grand Luo Golden Immortals. Upon reaching the perfection of the Primordial Grand Luo Golden Immortal realm, a Chaos Demon God possesses the ability of immortality."

Lei Ming's eyes flickered. He still couldn't fully trust Luo Hou, but Yuan Zhantian's transformation was still ongoing, which forced him to believe him.

"Father God's strength is the greatest among the Chaos Demon Gods. Since the Chaos Demon Gods can be reborn, can't Father Gods do the same?" said Lady Pingxin.

"Pangu..." Rahu sighed meaningfully.

At this moment, the unfamiliar consciousness within Yuan Zhantian's spiritual sea of consciousness grew stronger and stronger. He tried to resist that consciousness with the laws of nature, but unexpectedly, the laws were completely useless. Soon, the primordial spirit of a chaotic demonic ape over ten zhang tall appeared within his sea of consciousness. Yuan Zhantian's primordial spirit looked at the other party with great vigilance.

That primordial spirit seemed to lack intelligence, filled with violence and savagery. The moment it formed, it charged towards Yuan Zhantian, remaining arrogant even though the battlefield was within Yuan Zhantian's spiritual sea of consciousness.

"The Shackles of Chaos!"

Yuan Zhantian mobilized the power of his spiritual sea of consciousness, transforming it into a large shackle, intending to trap his opponent. The shackle was placed on his opponent, but it was forcibly broken.

Roar!

The Chaos Demon Ape's primordial spirit roared, creating gusts of wind within its spiritual platform and sea of consciousness. Yuan Zhantian's expression shifted several times; the Chaos Laws were useless against its opponent, and the power of his spiritual platform and sea of consciousness could not suppress it, which he could not understand.

"Don't be surprised, you and him are essentially from the same source." Lei Ming's voice reached Yuan Zhantian's primordial spirit, which made Yuan Zhantian feel much more relaxed.

"Master, what kind of monster is this?" Yuan Zhantian couldn't help but ask.

"This is the remnant primordial spirit of the Chaos Demon Ape. You should be able to guess that during your battles with the phantom of Pangu, you unleashed powers that didn't belong to you—that's the power of the Chaos Demon Ape. We always thought he had completely perished, but he hasn't. Now that you're about to attain enlightenment, the power of the Chaos Demon Ape has revived. He wants to seize your body and attain enlightenment in your place, so you must be very careful," Lei Ming said.

"Don't worry, Master, no one can stop me from attaining enlightenment!" Yuan Zhantian said.

Within Yuan Zhantian's spiritual sea, the primordial spirits of two Chaos Demon Apes were locked in a fierce battle, though one was far more ferocious. Despite being primordial spirits, they employed the most primitive fighting methods: fists, legs, and teeth. One would punch the other, the other would bite. Before long, both Chaos Demon Apes were covered in wounds, yet their ferocious aura remained undiminished.

"Bring the spear!" Yuan Zhantian's primordial spirit roared, and the War God Spear appeared. With the spear in hand, he immediately changed his fighting style, unleashing his superb spear skills, causing the Chaos Demon Ape's primordial spirit to retreat steadily.

Roar!

The Chaos Demon Ape roared again, pounding its chest with its fists before lunging at Yuan Zhantian. Yuan Zhantian's spear, like a dragon, lashed out at the Chaos Demon Ape's primordial spirit. But the ferocious Chaos Demon Ape ignored it, biting down on the War God Spear. Its brute strength was astonishing; Yuan Zhantian couldn't pull the spear back.

bang bang bang...

A rapid, muffled thud was heard, and it turned out that Yuan Zhantian had been injured. The Chaos Demon Ape's primordial spirit gripped the War God Spear, holding one end in each arm, and then with a sudden burst of strength, he broke the projection of the War God Spear in two.

"No, his power is increasing, while mine is decreasing." Yuan Zhantian was shocked to discover that, after so many battles, the Chaos Demon Ape's primordial spirit was already heavily injured, but its strength had not only not decreased, but had actually increased significantly. In contrast, Yuan Zhantian's own primordial spirit power was constantly being depleted.

"How is this possible?" Yuan Zhantian couldn't believe it.

Lei Ming had been watching Yuan Zhantian's battle closely, and seeing this, he was equally puzzled. However, once he calmed down, he discovered the problem.

"The Chaos Demon Ape's primordial spirit power is slowly entering Zhan Tian's spiritual sea of consciousness through the laws of chaos, which is why his primordial spirit is constantly growing stronger. In that case, Luo Hou wasn't lying; the Chaos Demon Ape did indeed entrust its primordial spirit to the laws of chaos. The reason it didn't possess Zhan Tian before was because Zhan Tian's mastery of the laws of chaos was still insufficient. Now, Zhan Tian is only one step away from attaining enlightenment, which has given the Chaos Demon Ape the opportunity to possess him." Lei Ming instantly understood all the key points.

"It seems I have no choice but to take action."

The Chaos Demon Ape is at the peak of the Primordial Golden Immortal realm. How vast is his primordial spirit power? Even though he has only recovered a portion of it, it is still beyond Yuan Zhantian's ability to handle.

"Fellow Daoists, my disciple is facing a great calamity. As his master, I cannot stand idly by. Let you two take charge of the fusion of the Three Realms," Lei Ming said.

Lady Pingxin nodded, but Luo Hou laughed and said, "Lei Ming, you're trying to help your disciple, aren't you? It's no use. He has to overcome this tribulation of enlightenment on his own. Even if you help him suppress the Chaos Demon Ape's primordial spirit, he still won't be able to attain enlightenment. If he wants to attain enlightenment, he must face the Chaos Demon Ape's primordial spirit."

Lei Ming's expression changed, but he still entered the Earthly Immortal Realm. Lei Ming's primordial spirit power directly entered Yuan Zhantian's spiritual sea of consciousness. Seeing that Yuan Zhantian's primordial spirit was being suppressed by the Chaos Demon Ape's primordial spirit, Lei Ming gently waved his hand and imprisoned the Chaos Demon Ape's primordial spirit.

Enraged by the thunder, the Chaos Demon Ape struggled fiercely, but could not break free from its power. However, the thunder did not dare to underestimate it, after all, the opponent was only in a remnant soul state.

"Thank you for saving me, Master." Yuan Zhantian breathed a sigh of relief, looking at the Chaos Demon Ape's primordial spirit with mixed feelings. In a way, the Chaos Demon Ape was his father, and his bloodline was inherited from it.

"Zhan Tian, if you want to attain enlightenment, you must resolve the primordial spirit of the Chaos Demon Ape. However, this Chaos Demon Ape has entrusted its primordial spirit to the laws of chaos, achieving an immortal state. Even as your master, I can only help you suppress it, not completely destroy it," Lei Ming said.

"Master, it's fine to suppress him for now. Once I attain enlightenment, I will deal with him personally," Yuan Zhantian said.

Lei Ming shook his head: "Things are not that simple. If you want to attain enlightenment, you must resolve it yourself. If I help you, you will not be able to attain enlightenment."
