Chapter 228 Mahayana Tathagata, Hinayana Many Treasures

After being conferred the title of God, he became the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King. Because of the conferment of the title of God, he gained a rank and became a Xuanxian (mysterious immortal) being.

But that's all; it wasn't achieved through self-cultivation, so the strength is quite weak.

However, Li Jing confidently led his troops to the Western Spirit Mountain, but he did not impulsively go alone. Instead, he waited until Tang Sanzang had made preparations before setting off.

Right now, Tang Sanzang is still seeking help everywhere, after all, Wutian is not so easy to deal with, and it is impossible to rely on Li Jing alone.

Tang Sanzang finally understood that the Heavenly Court didn't really want to help Mount Ling, otherwise they wouldn't have sent Li Jing to lead the troops into battle, given Li Jing's strength.

It's a bit weak; in this kind of battle, it's no different from cannon fodder.

Tang Sanzang was still running around seeking help.

The plot has completely changed. Because of the Emperor's influence, Sun Wukong has no intention of saving Buddhism. You should know that in the original story, Sun Wukong was the protagonist of this great calamity.

However, Sun Wukong has now gone on strike and gone on a rampage. The Buddhist sect can't do anything about it, so naturally they can't follow the original plan.

Since Sun Wukong is going to deal with Wutian, I'll have to figure out a solution myself.

On the Primordial Chaos Island!

"Wu Tian." Di Fang squinted at the western land. Wu Tian was a figure of some importance. Before becoming a demon, he was a Kinnara of Buddhism.

What is a Kinnara? The Buddha's strongest protector; as you can imagine, this is not a position anyone can hold.

However, it seems that Buddhism doesn't have much of a way to deal with Wutian.

From the fact that Tang Sanzang is currently running around seeking help in the world, it can be seen that the Heavenly Court is unwilling to help, Sun Wukong is shirking his responsibilities, and it will be very difficult for the Buddhist sect to ask for help.

It's impossible to rely on just one Buddha.

Lighting a lamp won't work either.

How to describe the strength of the lamp-burning technique? It has some, but it's practically the same as having none.

As for the other Buddha, the Buddha of Many Treasures, also known as the senior disciple of the Jie Sect, he is currently in a state of decline.

Although he joined the Buddhist order, he only focused on enlightenment, and nothing else mattered to him.

His joining Buddhism and betraying the Jie Sect was purely a scheme orchestrated by Lao Tzu.

However, because of this, he could no longer return to the Jie Sect, so he peacefully became the Buddha of Many Treasures in Buddhism.

However, even as the Buddha, it's not certain that he would exert himself. As the saying goes, Buddhism will not perish. Now that the Tathagata has reincarnated, it is merely that the Tathagata is experiencing a calamity.

It doesn't have much to do with other Buddhas. You should know that Buddhism is divided into Mahayana Buddhism and Theravada Buddhism, and there are internal conflicts.

Dipankara is alright, as he passed away and became a relic of an ancient Buddha in the original history. But Duobao would definitely not be willing to do that.

Duobao is not as shameless as Randeng. After being tricked by Laozi into joining Buddhism, Duobao could have returned, but he felt he had no face to see Tongtian again, so he focused on sitting in his Duobao Buddha statue, which shows that.

Getting Duobao to bow down is not a simple matter, especially since both he and Tathagata are Buddhas, and Duobao does not believe he would be inferior to Tathagata.

Therefore, although Buddhism appears to be suffering now, it is only the lineage of the Tathagata Buddha that is suffering, and it has nothing to do with other Buddhas.

Tathagata is the Buddha of the Mahayana Buddhist lineage, while the Theravada Buddhist lineage is represented by Prabhutaratna.

These two differ in doctrine and other aspects, but both are Buddhist.

Here we need to talk about something. Duobao was the Buddha of the Theravada Buddhist lineage. As for why he established the Theravada Buddhist lineage, it was Laozi who gave him guidance.

Duobao's conversion to Buddhism in the West was at Laozi's suggestion, and the establishment of the Hinayana school of Buddhism was also at Laozi's suggestion.

This isn't about the flourishing of Buddhism; it's about diverting Buddhism's fortune.

Although they are both Buddhism, their doctrines are completely different. Just like the original Buddhism had ten aspects, the emergence of Theravada Buddhism directly took away at least four aspects of its fortune.

This is the key.

If one has sufficient fortune, then the Buddha's lineage will not encounter a calamity.

So here's the question: why is it that Buddhism, the lineage of the Buddha, which is supposed to have more good fortune, is the one that suffers the most calamity?

As I said before, just like the rise of humanity, which was accompanied by boundless karma, Buddhism is the same. The lineage of Buddhism, particularly the Duobao school, is basically about secluded cultivation and detachment from worldly affairs.

However, most of the Buddha's lineage wandered in the primordial world, naturally burdened by karmic debts.

Karma is no joke in the primordial world; excessive karma will inevitably lead to calamity.

Humanity is like this; it is still constantly fighting among itself, which is also due to karma.

The Imperials didn't have much of a solution either.

Unlike other worlds, there is no concept of merit or karma, but it does exist in the primordial world. The more karma one accumulates, the more tragic one's death will be.

Even saints do not want to create too much karma, as the consequences are incalculable.

Of course, it is only effective for creatures within the primordial world; it has no effect on creatures outside the primordial world.

Otherwise, the Imperials wouldn't dare to lead a world war; they would have already become incredibly powerful.

Let alone having offspring, it would be considered good if the offspring didn't die young.

Let's return to the previous topic.

This is the current difference between different schools of Buddhism. Even the Bodhisattvas Zhunti and Jieyin can't really change it. Although Buddhism is divided into Mahayana and Theravada Buddhism, they are all still Buddhism.

It's not good for Zhunti and Jieyin to do anything; they are all part of Buddhism's destiny, and they can't destroy their own Buddhist destiny.

Theravada Buddhism is recognized by the divine.

Once Theravada Buddhism is destroyed, then the problem arises: the lost fortune is truly gone and cannot be recovered.

Therefore, Duobao has always been someone in Buddhism who obeys orders but not decrees.

Therefore, Zhunti and Jieyin also considered having Duobao take action regarding Wutian's matter.

However, Duobao simply nodded superficially and that was it.

Ran Deng wanted to show off, but unfortunately his skills were lacking.

Although Ran Deng is one of the three thousand guests in Zixiao Palace, to be honest, his strength is the weakest among them.

none of them.

If it hadn't been born so early, whether or not it would have been possible to go there would have been another matter entirely.

Faced with Wutian, Randeng really didn't have any good solutions. After all, to some extent, Wutian's incarnation as a demonic Buddha was indeed the nemesis of Buddhism.

Buddhism's most proficient method is none other than the Buddha's light.

This thing is quite significant for Wutian, who can become a Buddha or a demon in an instant.

On the contrary, many Buddhist disciples, due to Wutian's demonic nature, have completely become demons, pure demons, not demon-Buddhas. To become a demon-Buddha, one needs extremely high enlightenment.

It's impossible for a Buddha to simply become a demon, but for a demon to become a Buddha.

So right now, Wutian is really showing signs of being invincible in the Western Lands, as long as he doesn't provoke the human race.

There is more than one Quasi-Saint among the human race who are stationed in the western lands.

Just like with Lion Camel Ridge before, the Buddhist sect also suffered a setback.

"There's no need to intervene." After a moment's thought, Di Fang decided that he had no intention of helping the Buddhist sect; there was no need for it.

What the Emperor needs to consider is the balance between the various worlds in the primordial world. This is the key to stabilizing the primordial world. If the primordial world cannot be balanced, then the final result will be like a great calamity.

This was inevitable.
