Chapter 25 Keeping the Appointment

Who are the enemies, and who are the friends?

This is a question that requires deep thought.

In this incident, was Rivers Francis necessarily the enemy? Was Mina, the victim who tipped him off, necessarily a friend?

Link didn't jump to conclusions, but he didn't simply see Rivers as an enemy and Mina, the former victim, as a friend.

In fact, Link had no intention of personally retaliating against Rivers; he just wanted to extricate himself and Molly from the matter.

If Jasmine agrees with his idea after we talk later.

If Jasmine disagrees, then all Link has to do is distance himself from the situation.

After dismissing the five terrified people, Link entered the reading room and calmly reviewed the notes he had taken yesterday about germination and cultivation.

Jasmine arrived quickly.

"Link, why did you call me over so urgently? Did you miss me? I'm so happy!"

After a night's rest, Jasmine was in the mood to tease Link again.

"Anger? Hatred?"

Jasmine seemed thoughtful, and guessed, "He must be feeling very uncomfortable."

Link then asked, "If something happens to you now, or if someone tells me something is going to happen to you, how will I react?"

Upon hearing this, Jasmine's face turned slightly frosty, and she said coldly, "Report to the academy and find an intelligent law enforcement puppet to deal with Rivers."

Link didn't ask any further questions.

Last night, after learning about the relationship and entanglement between Rivers, Enrique, and Mina who delivered the message from Molly, Link vaguely guessed the possible truth behind a series of events.

It's nothing more than using someone else to do the dirty work.

The knife must have come from the academy.

As for who wants to use this as a tool, it's either Enrique or Mina, or both of them.

Link didn't care about that.

What Link cared about was that he and Jasmine had undoubtedly become the reason for being used as pawns, tools that could be kept in the dark and sacrificed at will.

This made Link a little unhappy.

"If my guess is correct, I'll talk to Rivers Francis and then figure out a way to let them fight it out."

Link laid out his thoughts: "We don't need to get involved in this mess, get ourselves into trouble, waste time, or make a point. What do you think?"

Jasmine nodded. She actually felt some sympathy for Mina's plight, which was why she was reluctant to confirm her guess.

But Jasmine can still be ruthless when faced with someone who wants to harm her.

She took the initiative and asked, "How can I help you?"

"No rush."

Link waved his hand, his expression indifferent, "Let's wait for them to make their move."

To be honest, Link doesn't think too highly of himself, but Enrique and Mina's tricks are really not clever at all, and he saw through them very easily.

People are different.

In the evening, Link and Jasmine made a promise that Jasmine would wait for him at the library while he went to the botanical garden to handle some work.

Upon entering the botanical garden, Link and Sophie Lucia met from a distance, but neither of them greeted the other.

Link went straight into the third greenhouse in the third row, randomly checked the condition of the seeds, and then cast a growth-inducing spell, followed by a Supermodel's secondary mist rain spell.

After meditating briefly on the ridge and restoring his mental and magical power, Link cast the second Lesser Mist Rain spell of Supermodel.

That concludes today's work.

Whether the actual effect is as Link envisioned needs to be checked tomorrow morning.

Before leaving, Link meditated briefly again to restore his mental state before leaving the botanical garden and returning to the library.

Jasmine sat in a corner seat in the reading room, a hint of sadness on her face.

It seems Link's guess came true; Mina really did invite Jasmine to that place.

A wave of sympathy fed the dog.

Seeing Link's inquiring gaze, Jasmine nodded.

Link then called Jasmine and they left the library.

"What do we do now?"

Outside the building, Jasmine immediately asked.

"If someone invites me, of course I'll accept."

Link replied seriously.

As he spoke, he took out his personal smart brain and used the free protection benefit of the intelligent law enforcement puppet that he received once per semester.

Before long, an intelligent law enforcement puppet that looked exactly like a fixed-wing drone flew up in front of Link.

"Please enter stealth follow mode."

Link politely made a request to the intelligent law enforcement puppet.

It's never wrong to be polite, and besides, no one knows whether the one controlling the intelligent law enforcement puppet is a high-level tower spirit with an emotional system or a low-level tower spirit without an emotional system.
