Chapter 426, Section 423: Don't blink when you're making excuses.
Lynn is indeed in the student council office right now.
However, he wasn't the only one in the office.
"The matter with the Death Eaters is settled. I've also had all the memories of you erased from their minds, so you don't need to worry about your identity being exposed by anyone in the future."
Lynn said to Tom, who was sitting opposite him.
So what are your plans for the future?
Tom shook his head, looking slightly bewildered.
"I don't know. I really want to make up for the mistakes I made in the past, but I don't know how to do it."
"If you don't have a goal yet, you might as well not think about it so much. Spend more time with others at Hogwarts, make more friends, and as you learn more about things, you should start to have your own ideas."
Lynn didn't have much to say to comfort Tom; it was normal for her to be going through a period of confusion.
Everyone faces a stage in life where, even when you know exactly what you want to do in the future, you don't know where to start or what to do next.
No one can help her with this; she has to figure out her own thoughts.
The two Horcruxes seized from the Death Eaters, Slytherin's locket and Hufflepuff's cup, also ended up in Lynn's hands.
Lynn, of course, would not keep such dangerous things; he destroyed them with the Gryffindor sword the moment he got his hands on them.
The only remaining Horcruxes in the world now are the missing Resurrection Stone ring and Harry Potter himself.
The resurrection stone ring needs to be found, but there are no clues yet.
As for Harry, he sees him every day, but how to eliminate Voldemort's remnant soul without harming Harry's life is something he doesn't have a clue about yet.
However, neither of these matters is urgent, and there is plenty of time for Lynn to figure out a solution.
So Lynn is now back to a relaxed state, which is quite rare.
Are you staying at Hogwarts this summer?
"I don't have anywhere else to go. Actually, the castle is quite nice. There are many books to read in the library."
Lynn pondered for a moment and said, "If you don't have anything to do during the summer vacation, you can come and play with Xiaomai. She usually stays at home playing video games all the time, and whenever you ask her to go out, she makes up an excuse that no one is going out with her."
"I'll go, but even if I do, I'll probably just get dragged into playing games with her. She's told me more than once how much fun they have playing games together."
Before he and Tom had finished their conversation in the office, Harry, Ron, and Hermione showed up at the door.
Harry glanced at Tom, then at Lynn.
"Lynn, we need to talk to you privately about something."
Tom tactfully got up and left. After she left, Harry plopped down in her previous seat and asked impatiently.
"Is the arrest of the Death Eaters a few days ago related to you?"
Not only did he ask this question, but Ron and Hermione also stared at him intently, waiting for his answer.
Lynn blinked.
"Why do you think it's related to me? Didn't the newspapers say it was the Auror Director who did it with Professor Dumbledore?"
He had barely finished speaking when Hermione spoke up quietly from the side.
"When you're making excuses, don't blink unconsciously. I've remembered this habit of yours since you were 11 years old."
Harry and Ron's eyes widened immediately.
Lynn choked on his own saliva.
"Cough cough cough, nonsense! I'm not trying to deny it!"
"Don't keep it from us, Lynn. Professor Dumbledore told us everything," Harry said, looking at him expectantly.
Lynn chuckled twice.
"Trying to trick me with this kind of trick? Don't bother. I'm just an ordinary fourth-grade student, and I have nothing to do with this."
"It's true. Harry went to the headmaster's office to thank Professor Dumbledore, but Professor Dumbledore told him to thank you instead," Ron explained.
Lynn looked at them suspiciously, and only after all three nodded to him to indicate that Dumbledore had indeed said such a thing did he curse out in annoyance.
"Pah, he's just getting revenge. He's using this to get back at me because he thinks I caused trouble using his identity."
"So the Professor Dumbledore mentioned in the newspaper is actually you?" Harry pressed.
Lynn neither confirmed nor denied it.
"Whatever you think is true, but remember to keep your mouth shut and don't tell anyone about it."
Seeing his tacit admission, Harry and his two friends were at a loss for words.
Expressing surprise?
However, judging from Lynn's performance last semester, such a thing seems reasonable, as he was capable of doing it anyway.
Does this mean it's normal?
But Lynn himself wasn't wrong; he was just a fourth-year student, yet he wiped out the biggest terrorist group in the British wizarding world.
So Harry and his friends were in a rather complicated mood, unsure of what expression to make.
In the end, Harry thanked Lynn with a solemn expression.
"Thank you, Lynn. You not only helped me find out that Sirius was wronged and that my real enemy was Peter, but you also helped me get revenge so that I could openly reunite with Sirius."
Lynn waved his hand, indicating that he didn't need to be so formal.
"It's nothing, it's nothing. We're such good friends, why are you thanking me for such a small favor?"
He then added with a strange smile, "But if you really want to thank someone, you can go and thank Betty Riddle when you have time."
Harry was stunned again.
"Riddle, she helped too?"
"She was a great help, but I can't tell you the specifics to protect her privacy."
Harry and his friends were completely bewildered when Lynn kicked them out.
The reason for having him thank Tom was simply to lessen Tom's guilt and let him know that what he had done was appreciated by the person he had hurt in the past, and therefore meaningful.
After Harry and the others left, Lynn returned to his leisurely state.
He was leisurely leaning back in his chair, pondering how to spend his summer vacation after the semester ended, when an owl suddenly barged into his office.
The owl looked familiar; it was the same one he usually used to contact old John.
Lynn curiously took the thick stack of envelopes from it, wondering what kind of letter Old John would send him at this time. When he opened them, he found that they were full of photos that had been developed and enchanted.
