Chapter 414, Section 412: Burning the Magic Wand
Chapter 415, Section 412: Burning the Magic Wand
The night of February 25, 1994, was exceptionally dark.
The entire night sky was covered by thick, dark clouds, but there was no sign of rain.
The cold wind flickered the candlelight in the corridors of Hogwarts Castle, causing the light and shadow to dance and adding an eerie atmosphere to the ancient castle.
Although Aurors still guard Hogwarts to this day, in order to prevent Sirius Black from possibly sneaking into the castle.
In reality, the defenses have become much looser.
The Ministry of Magic's focus is now entirely on the Death Eaters' mass escapes. Sirius Black was the first criminal to escape from Azkaban, which was quite shocking, but after almost all the prisoners escaped from the prison, his solo escape became less noticeable.
On one dark and windy night, a sneaky rat skillfully found a hidden hole by the wall and scurried inside.
It darted across the lawn and carefully slipped into the castle.
We continued upwards until we reached the stairwell between the seventh and eighth floors.
Peter released Animagus and returned to his original form. He humbly prostrated himself on the ground, calling out in a trembling voice.
"Master, your servants have returned. We are all ready and waiting for your return."
The candlelight hanging on the wall flickered, whether from the wind or something else, it was hard to tell.
A cold, black mist suddenly appeared above Peter's head, and a hoarse, unpleasant voice, so familiar yet so terrifying to Peter, rang out.
"waste!"
Peter trembled with fear, cowering on his knees, too timid to even beg for mercy.
The black mist swirled around Peter, as if to devour him, but in the end it did no harm. It simply gathered into his body, as if giving him a black light-absorbing effect.
"Take me away from here!"
"Yes, it is my master."
Peter, trembling, transformed back into a mouse and, with Tom attached to him, retraced their steps, running all the way out of Hogwarts.
Shortly after they left, Dumbledore and Lynn emerged from the shadows together.
"Do you want to come with me, Professor?"
Lynn pulled the hood of his robe over his head, tucked his wand into his sleeve, and asked Dumbledore.
Dumbledore shook his head.
"Since you've already made all the preparations, I won't go over."
Lynn shrugged, not surprised by the result.
Dumbledore's mentality is becoming increasingly lax. Sitting in charge of Hogwarts, besides eating candy and drinking soda all day, he just reads documents, writes plans, and hides in his office like a shut-in.
"But just in case, let Fox come with you. If anything goes wrong, just have it come back to me."
Upon hearing Dumbledore's words, the red, dim-witted phoenix raised its head and jumped onto Lynn's shoulder.
Lynn certainly wouldn't refuse. Although he was absolutely certain, there's always a chance of something going wrong, and having Fox along would be like having an extra layer of insurance.
He nodded to Dumbledore, then gently patted Fawkes' feathers. Fawkes immediately understood and burst into a golden light, taking Lynn with him as they left Hogwarts Castle.
A desolate highland in Scotland.
In modern society, such deserted places are not very common, but a wizard can find them if he wants to.
With a "snap" sound like a whip cracking, Peter used Apparition to arrive at this high ground.
Peter was surrounded by countless Death Eaters dressed in identical black robes.
"Where is the master?"
Bella asked Peter in a shrill voice.
Before Peter could speak, an ominous black mist rose from his body!
At the same time, every Death Eater present felt a burning sensation in their left arm!
Their dark magic marks all reacted.
"Bella."
A hoarse voice rang out from the black mist, and Bella immediately trembled and knelt down on the ground, like a devoted fanatic.
"Master! You're back! I knew you wouldn't be defeated so easily! You are invincible! You are immortal!"
Countless Death Eaters knelt down, like believers meeting a god.
"Owner!"
The hoarse voice rang out again.
"Very good, you have not disappointed me after all these years. You are still loyal to me."
However, his tone suddenly changed.
"Although some people made some minor mistakes along the way."
Upon hearing this, the opportunists, led by Malfoy, who were kneeling on the ground, couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat.
"But thankfully, you chose to stand on the right side at the crucial moment, didn't you, my friend Lucius?"
Malfoy hurriedly replied.
"We will always stand by our master's side, and that has never changed!"
"I believe you mean it sincerely."
"Thank you for your trust, my great master!" Malfoy immediately offered a flattering remark.
Tom had rehearsed all of her lines with Lynn beforehand. Every word she said and every tone of her voice was pre-designed to prevent her from saying too much and making mistakes.
"Fourteen years later, we will return once again! But before we announce our arrival to the entire magical world, we still need to make some preparations."
The black mist rippled, as if it were fluctuating in sync with the tone of Tom's voice.
"Where are the things I asked you to prepare?"
Bella led her group of Death Eaters away, with a large cauldron boiling behind them.
"We have prepared these masters as you instructed, and your resurrection ceremony can begin at any time."
"Not enough, this is still not enough."
Bella looked up at the black mist in fear.
"We've already found the owner of the materials you requested. Is there anything missing?"
"Magical fire, fire imbued with magic!"
Bella glared at Peter fiercely, as if she wanted to devour him alive with her gaze. When Peter relayed the story earlier, he hadn't mentioned anything about needing magical fire.
Peter knelt on the ground, trembling all over, not daring to utter a single word.
Should he be asked to explain at this moment that the Dark Lord never mentioned to him that he needed any magical fire?
"What kind of fire can be considered to be imbued with magic? Whatever you need, your servants will fetch it for you."
"Fire needs something imbued with magic to burn! Throw your wands into the fire and let them serve as fuel!"
Immediately, all the Death Eaters were stunned.
Is Master telling them to burn their wands?
What kind of magic is this?
But while most Death Eaters hesitated, Bella unhesitatingly threw her wand into the woodpile under the cauldron!
