My Hogwarts has a serious problem.

Chapter 411, Question 409: How can you sleep at this age?

Chapter 412, Question 409: How can you sleep at this age?

Back in the common room that evening, Harry and Ron found that most of the young wizards in Gryffindor were discussing the morning and evening study sessions announced in the notice.

"Hmm~ Hermione, we've decided to use tomorrow morning to finish all our Charms and Transfiguration homework."

Harry looked around as he spoke.

Ron chimed in.

"We've thought it through. Playing isn't fun anymore; studying is the priority. We'll start working hard tomorrow!"

Hermione didn't listen to a word they said.

The first time they lied to her like that, she believed it because she was naive; the second time they lied to her, she still believed it because of trust; if Hermione still believed them the third time, she would be stupid.

Why don't you ask me what I'm writing?

Hermione asked without looking up.

Harry and Ron were both giving irrelevant answers and changing the subject.

"The grilled steak was really good tonight!"

"Yes, and there was also pudding after the meal. I ate three big pieces."

Hermione wasn't buying their act and asked directly.

"So you're not planning to sign up for morning and evening self-study sessions?"

Since she had asked that question, Harry and Ron naturally couldn't avoid it any longer, so they just smiled awkwardly.

"We feel that there are still more than six months before the level exam, so there is no need to rush to start studying hard. We will fill out the application form after a while."

They were all prepared to listen to Hermione's scolding and nagging, but to their surprise, Hermione's reaction was surprisingly indifferent.

"If you don't want to fill it out, then don't. If you're unwilling, you won't be able to learn even if we force you to."

Harry and Ron stared wide-eyed, as if they were meeting Hermione for the first time.

"When did you become so open-minded!"

"Good heavens! You didn't force us to sign the application!"

Hermione shrugged; she'd copied that gesture from Lynn.

"Whether you study or not is your business. I'm neither your parent nor your teacher. What good will it do me to interfere like this, except make you dislike me?"

Harry and his friends were both relieved and somewhat nervous.

It felt like two boys hearing their disappointed mother say to them, "Do whatever you want, I can't control you anymore and I won't care about you anymore."

"We'll only play for this short period! I promise, just this short period!"

Harry said with absolute certainty.

Playing around and slacking off is in their nature; otherwise, they wouldn't have been sorted into Gryffindor.

Just as she had said, Hermione did not interfere with them afterward.

After submitting the application forms this weekend, more than half of the students at Hogwarts volunteered to participate in morning and evening study sessions.

Almost all of them were students of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.

One of these two colleges is for students who genuinely enjoy learning, and the other is simply for those who are honest and straightforward.

With such heavy academic pressure at Hogwarts, if you don't study hard, you might not even be able to graduate.

Most of the Gryffindor students and a small number of Slytherin students did not register.

Gryffindors are usually unrestrained and cannot tolerate early morning and late night study sessions.

Some people in Slytherin knew some inside information and believed that Hogwarts' current policies would not last long, and that before long, the entire school would be under Slytherin's control.

Monday morning.

Harry and Ron crawled out of their warm beds.

It's 7:30 in the morning, which is their normal wake-up time.

Of the four people in Harry's dorm, only Neville actually went to morning study sessions. The rest of the room included Harry, Neville, and Seamus.

After Ron and Harry leisurely finished washing up, they went to the Great Hall for breakfast while chatting about the outcome of the wizard chess game the night before.

There were many young wizards coming and going in the castle corridors, but most of them were walking from the direction of the Great Hall toward their classrooms, the opposite of Harry and Ron.

During their time there, they also encountered Hermione, who was carrying two spellbooks.

"The first class is in McGonagall, so be careful not to be late."

Hermione gave them a few words of advice and then headed to the Transfiguration classroom.

Harry raised an eyebrow at Ron.

"Hermione still cares about us."

"She has a sharp tongue but a soft heart; that's always been her way."

As they walked into the auditorium, they discovered that there were hardly any students left.

After they randomly found a seat at the Gryffindor table, they were dumbfounded.

Most of the food on the table was already cold.

The bread was no longer crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the sausages were ice cold, and the pumpkin juice that used to bring them some warmth in winter had lost all its warmth.

"What's going on?"

Harry turned to Tom, who was sitting next to him and drinking the last sip of pumpkin juice, and asked.

Tom was about to leave the Great Hall when Harry called her back, and she stopped in her tracks.

"Because morning self-study starts at 6 o'clock, many students are used to eating before going to class, so the kitchen now opens for meals at 5:30."

They would have put all the food on the table at 5:40, so even if you didn't have time to eat breakfast and came back at 7:10, it would still be warm. But now it's almost 8:00, so the food must be cold by now.

Harry grabbed his hair.

"We need to report this to the school; we can't eat cold breakfast every day!"

Tom looked at him, and his old habit from being disciplined by Lynn couldn't help but resurface.

"How can you sleep well every day at your age?"

Third grade is the time to take the elementary level exam, but if you're still thinking about playing and sleeping in, how can you possibly pass?

If you want to eat a hot breakfast, then get up early every day to eat it. Nowadays, most people have to attend early morning self-study sessions, so schools naturally have to take care of the majority.

Even if you complain to the school, it won't make a difference. You people don't get up early to study, are you going to make those students who want to learn go hungry to study in the morning?

If you continue to eat breakfast at this time every day, you'll have to wait until summer to get something hot.

Harry looked somewhat ashamed as he was being lectured by a first-grader.

Ron, who was standing next to him, couldn't help but mutter something under his breath.

"You also come to eat at this time, and you skipped morning self-study too, didn't you?"

Tom gave a cold laugh.

"Why do you think I know the earliest time the food will be set out in the auditorium? I arrived here at 5 o'clock with my books, reading aloud while waiting. At 5:40, I watched the food appear on the long table. I'm here now just to make up for the early breakfast."
