Chapter 409, Section 406: Bella's Angry Revelation

Sirius Black? He's back?

Bella gave a strange smile.

She and Sirius actually met quite a few times over the past ten years. Azkaban was only so big, and they were both serious criminals. Bella's cell was even right across from Sirius's.

"Sirius has left! He couldn't stand Kreacher!"

Kreacher said in a low voice, as if he were ashamed of it, but there was no hint of apology in his voice.

However, upon hearing its words, Bella's expression suddenly changed, and she let out a sharp cry.

"Who told you to do this! Punish yourself!"

Kreacher trembled with fear, then reflexively knelt down and began pounding his head on the ground repeatedly.

"Kreacher is wrong! Kreacher is wrong! Kreacher is wrong!"

Bella shouted angrily, "Of course you're wrong! If you hadn't let him go, he might be a corpse by now!"

The Death Eaters around them watched indifferently as Bella taught Kreacher a lesson, until Kreacher's forehead bled from the blows. They all wore expressions of amusement and showed no pity whatsoever.

"stand up!"

Bella stopped Kreacher, who was nearly knocked unconscious, and helped him stand up.

But this wasn't out of kindness; it was simply because if Kreacher fainted, no one would be there to help her find the item.

"We'll talk about that bug later. I have other things to ask you." Bella sat on the sofa, surrounded by the Death Eaters.

Kreacher stumbled toward Bella and stammered.

"No, whatever Mrs. Lestrange asks, Kreacher will tell you."

Bella stared into Kreacher's ugly, large eyes and asked in a soft voice.

"Having lived in the Blake family for so long, have you ever seen a locket? A gold one, with a snake carved on it?"

Upon hearing Bella's question, Kreacher's pupils constricted sharply! His body trembled uncontrollably.

Bella noticed all of its behavior and stared intently at it.

"Why bother thinking! Just tell me! Where's that locket?"

Kreacher stood there dumbfounded for a long time before finally screaming in panic.

"No, I don't know! The Black family doesn't have that! They've never had it!"

"You're lying!"

Bella looked furious; she was furious that a lowly house-elf dared to lie to her.

"Extremely painful!"

Without any hesitation, she pointed her wand at Kreacher and cast the Unforgivable Spell!

"Aaaaaah!!!"

Kreacher was tortured to the point of rolling around on the ground, emitting blood-curdling screams.

However, the coldness and madness in Bella's eyes did not disappear in the slightest, and she said sharply.

"Tell me! Where is that locket?"

"No! No! There isn't! There's no such thing!"

Kreacher trembled violently, like a constantly shaking sieve. He answered helplessly, desperately yet resolutely.

"Extremely painful!"

Not hearing the answer she wanted, Bella immediately cast another Cruciatus Curse on Kreacher.

Kreacher was in so much pain that he could no longer make a sound; the agony emanating from the depths of his soul twisted his body beyond recognition.

"What kind of secret could make you dare to defy my orders?" Bella screamed.

She stopped waving her wand, because Kreacher was already in a semi-conscious state, and if she continued to torture him, he might faint on the spot.

"No, there's no secret. The Black family doesn't have such a thing."

Bella turned her gaze to the Carlo siblings and said to them in a cold voice.

"Go find Malfoy and his men and tell them to prepare a bottle of truth serum for me right now. I need it immediately!"

Without hesitation, Carlo immediately used Apparition to leave the place.

"You all search! First, complete Master's task and find that locket! I'll play with this audacious house-elf for a while."

The remaining Death Eaters began ransacking the Black family's ancestral home.

The mural of Sirius's mother hanging on the wall, which had initially been praising Bella upon seeing her, was now hurling insults at these brutish Death Eaters.

However, the Death Eaters didn't treat her as politely as Sirius Black did.

They used a spell to blast a large hole in the portrait, forcing Mrs. Blake to scream and run for refuge in someone's portrait frame.

Soon after, an accident occurred among the Death Eaters.

An old, dilapidated clock suddenly fired countless nails at a Death Eater, but luckily he dodged in time and avoided being hit by the nails.

But then a tattered robe seemed to come alive and stood up from the ground, wrapping around the Death Eater and tightly encircling his neck with its two empty sleeves, trying to strangle him!

But the robe failed to be torn to shreds by another Death Eater who arrived after hearing the news.

"You idiot! How could you let these things get to this point!"

Just as the Death Eaters were mocking his companion, he took a step forward and tripped over something, falling to the ground.

It was a golden locket, which looked worn and old, with a venomous snake with its tongue out carved on the top.

No outsiders had visited the Black family's old house for over a decade, so Kreacher naturally didn't hide it in a particularly secret place.

The Death Eaters excitedly handed the locket to Bella, who was torturing Kreacher in various ways.

Bella fiddled with the locket in her hand, too afraid to open it without Voldemort's orders. Just then, Carlo returned with a vial of potion.

"Feed it!"

The Death Eaters pried open Kreacher's already dying mouth and dripped a few drops of truth serum into it.

"Tell me, Kreacher, why, and for whom are you hiding this?"

With Bella asking questions, Kreacher could no longer hide the truth.

"It's Master Regulus. Master Regulus forbade Kreacher to tell anyone."

Kreacher's voice sounded like a dream.

Bella's face darkened.

Tell me the complete story!

Kreacher could no longer lie, and he told the whole truth.

Including the time when Voldemort borrowed it from Regulus to test medicine, it didn't die and escaped. Later, Regulus betrayed Voldemort and had Kreacher take him to that cave to take the real locket and put the fake locket inside.

Bella was furious after hearing this.

"Traitor! A disgrace to the Black family! He and his foolish brother are both vermin!"
