Chapter 405, Section 402: The Three Things the Dark Lord Wanted
"Peter!"
Bella's sharp voice rang out the fat rat hiding among the Death Eaters of the Wallflower Faction.
Peter avoided Bella's eyes, his gaze darting away. In front of these people, he had completely lost the imposing manner he had shown in front of Malfoy.
Fearing retribution, the opportunists tried their best to curry favor with Peter, who had direct contact with the resurrected Dark Lord and seemed to be enjoying "holy favor."
But these staunch supporters are not afraid.
The resurrected Dark Lord not only did not blame these loyal servants, but also relied on them even more.
After all, these are the people who have been tested and are truly loyal to their master.
"You've already met your master?" Bella's crazed eyes were fixed on the trembling Peter.
Peter said in a trembling voice.
"Yes, yes, I saw the Dark Lord at Hogwarts."
"Then why didn't you help him, or stay with him!"
Peter trembled in fear at Bella's stern shout.
He was a coward by nature, and most of the Death Eaters in Azkaban didn't like him much, believing that Voldemort's downfall was directly related to him.
"Master has not yet fully recovered and cannot leave Hogwarts for the time being, so he sent me out to gather his former subordinates."
Amicus Caro, the infamous older of the Caro siblings, stared coldly at Peter.
"Why would Master be at Hogwarts? Dumbledore has been guarding there the whole time. He wouldn't take such a risk before Master has fully recovered his strength."
Peter swallowed hard and stammered, "Master, two years ago, Master wanted to use a wizard named Quirrell to enter Hogwarts and steal the Philosopher's Stone hidden there to resurrect himself, but Dumbledore saw through his plan. Although he escaped from Dumbledore's clutches, he had to stay there until three months ago when he regained some of his strength and found me."
"Then what are we still doing here? Why don't we storm Hogwarts and help our master regain his former glory?" Bella glanced at all the villains present.
She wasn't being overconfident at all. The Death Eaters gathered here were strong enough to storm the British Ministry of Magic, let alone Hogwarts under normal circumstances.
"Lord, we haven't received what our master wants yet," Peter said hastily, trying to stop the others from responding.
"Why didn't you say so from the beginning!" Bella looked at him impatiently. If Peter wasn't the only person who had ever been in contact with Voldemort, she might have already used the Crucifixion Curse.
"What does Master need?"
Peter, not daring to keep it a secret, revealed what the Dark Lord wanted in front of everyone.
"In Little Hangleton, there was a mansion surrounded by nettles, with a dead snake in the shape of an S nailed to the gate. The owner wanted a black stone ring inside, engraved with the coat of arms of Peverell."
A gold locket in the Black family ancestral home at 12 Grimmauld Place, London.
And there was also the Hufflepuff Cup, a relic of the founder of Hogwarts that he had entrusted to Madam Lestrange for safekeeping!
Hogwarts returned to its usual bustling state after the Christmas holidays.
The most discussed topic in the castle right now is the fall of Azkaban on Christmas Day.
The young wizards chattered amongst themselves, spreading all sorts of rumors they had heard at home.
What? This incident was actually a plan that the remnants of the Death Eaters in the wizarding world had been plotting for a long time.
A mysterious figure has been resurrected and is gathering his former subordinates to make a comeback.
Even more outrageous, some people mysteriously claimed that the Death Eaters had actually elected a new Dark Lord and planned to cleanse the wizarding world once again.
However, the students in the castle only spread the word internally. In Hogwarts, a purely boarding school, their interaction with the outside world was still limited.
While other houses were buzzing about the matter, Slytherin remained unusually quiet.
Almost no one was discussing Azkaban with anyone else. Even in the lounge, most people were much quieter than before, communicating mainly through eye contact.
As the stronghold of purebloods, Slytherin's school clearly had some unusual news received at home during Christmas.
Even Malfoy seems to have become arrogant again lately.
When he encountered Harry in the corridors or the Great Hall, he neither mocked nor spoke, but simply gave him a cold, sneer with the look of someone who was looking at a dead man.
Harry was completely bewildered by Malfoy's appearance, but he didn't care whether Malfoy's face was twitching or not. He was currently testing his new broomstick, Firebolt, with Ron.
After Sirius Black's innocence was proven, no one objected to them riding and using the flying broomstick he had given them.
When Gryffindor held their first Quidditch training session after Christmas, Harry, riding a Firebolt, was the coolest kid on the pitch.
Almost all the Gryffindor players cast envious glances at his broom, greatly satisfying Harry's vanity.
He's been living a very good life lately. Not only has he reunited with Sirius Black, but he'll also have his own home in the future, and his life at Hogwarts has become much more carefree.
On the afternoon of the second day after school started following Christmas, Lynn was in the library.
He sat in the chair with a book called "Powerful Potions" open in front of him. The page was turned to the one about how to make Truth Potion, but his eyes were not on the book. Instead, he was lost in thought.
Sitting opposite him was Tom, who wasn't daydreaming like Lynn; instead, she was diligently taking notes while looking at a beginner's spellbook.
"Do you recognize the name Bellatrix Lestrange?"
After staring blankly for a while, Lynn suddenly asked Tom across from her.
Distracted from his studies, Tom wrinkled his nose in annoyance, then carefully recalled the name Lynn had just mentioned, and finally shook his head honestly.
"I don't remember."
Lynn stared intently at Tom.
"She's your die-hard fan, the kind who'd be willing to have your babies."
"what?"
Tom looked completely bewildered, not understanding a word Lynn was saying.
Lynn was actually just thinking about whether the sequel to Harry Potter would actually happen in this world.
If that really happened, wouldn't it mean that Tom should have had a lovely daughter with Bella, but he ruined it himself?
I wonder what Bella's expression would be if she saw the Dark Lord she was so madly in love with transformed into this.
The title of the previous chapter was originally for this chapter. I'm such an idiot, I typed it wrong. I'll save it for later and edit it later.
