My Hogwarts has a serious problem.

Chapter 358, Section 356: The Great Professor Belloc

Chapter 359, Section 356: The Great Professor Belloc

Students in grades one through three are still young, so their longest long-distance race is only 800 meters.

However, starting from the fourth grade, the long-distance running competition changed to 1000 meters.

The competition was intense, but the participants were in a tough spot. For wizards, running 1000 meters was like losing half their lives, and even the levitation spell didn't make it much easier for them.

Before the fourth-grade long-distance race, the athletes preparing to participate were warming up.

They were all taught professional pre-competition warm-up exercises by members of the sports and cultural department, in order to prevent muscle strains after strenuous exercise.

Once all preparations are complete, the 1000-meter race will begin.

During the preparation phase of the competition, Lynn made a move that surprised everyone.

Unlike the other three who stood upright with their wands in hand, ready to cast spells on themselves at any moment, Lynn seemed to have no wand at all. He simply squatted down, placed his hands on the ground in front of his feet, shifted his weight forward onto his arms, positioned his front foot first, then his back foot, and completed a standard crouch start.

The two commentators who were ejected from the first-year game by Professor McGonagall for arguing with each other finally returned to the commentary booth for the fourth-year game.

Jordan was still rambling on and on, explaining to everyone that Gryffindor had always been a powerhouse in sports, when he saw Lynn's actions and immediately exclaimed in surprise.

"What is our Professor Belloc doing? He looks like he's completely giving up on using magic on himself and is going to compete purely with his physical body! Unbelievable! Unbelievable! Why would he do this? Is he trying to forfeit the competition?"

Although the students at Hogwarts witnessed Lynn's feat of fighting the Basilisk one-on-one last year, almost no one noticed Lynn's superhuman physical abilities.

After all, Lynn was a wizard, and they subconsciously attributed his ability to easily defeat the basilisk to magic.

Otherwise, even if those junior wizards saw it with their own eyes, they wouldn't believe that someone's body could be comparable to a dragon's.

"I understand!" Flint, standing next to George, looked at Lynn with shining eyes and calmly analyzed the situation.

"Professor Belloc is trying to set an example and show us the true purpose of this sports meet! A sports meet, of course, is meant to test the physical abilities of wizards. Using fancy magical enhancements in the competition would go against the original intention of the sports meet, wouldn't it? Professor Belloc wants to use this 1000-meter race to tell us that the body is the foundation for a wizard to learn magic!"

Flint was completely absorbed in his own imagination, his face filled with infatuation.

"Professor Bellock, ah! What a great Professor Bellock!"

Lynn, who was getting ready after hearing the commentator's words, looked speechless.

What happened to the students at Hogwarts?

What are they all imagining?

He didn't use magic simply because he didn't want to bully others. His physical condition was unfair to everyone present in the sports meet. If he used magic, even Lynn's thick skin wouldn't be able to handle it.

Actually, Lynn hadn't planned to participate in the sports meet. It was the Minister of Culture and Sports who persuaded him to set an example so as to motivate the other students in the castle. After thinking about it for a long time, he finally decided to participate and not hold back, as a way to encourage the students.

As a result, even though I didn't use magic to help them, they still suspected that I was trying to lose on purpose.

Upon hearing Flint's words, all the young wizards in the room looked at Lynn with moved expressions.

They never expected Lynn to go to such lengths to enlighten everyone. A student council president who single-handedly saved Hogwarts last year, he was now willing to run the entire 1000 meters without magic, even if he came in last, just to set an example for everyone.

What a selfless and great spirit!

Even Lynn's opponents seemed to be moved by him. As if they had all planned it together, the three of them solemnly threw their wands into the hands of the academy friends watching on both sides of the track, and squatted down on the ground in a not-so-standard squatting position, just like Lynn.

Even Ian, who was watching the commotion from the sidelines, was completely bewildered.

What are they trying to do?

He brought shame upon himself.

Even the referee of this long-distance race had a solemn expression, as if he were witnessing a showdown of the century, and raised his magic wand.

Lynn was completely numb at this point.

Let these people do whatever they want; they'll soon realize just how stupid their actions are.

"Our referee has raised his wand; he's about to give the signal! I have a feeling that this long-distance race, though without any magical enhancements, will be the most exciting event of the entire Games! All four athletes have decided to rely solely on their physical prowess to complete the race! Let's give them our warmest cheers!"

Jordan spoke with great passion, and all the students in the audience stood up from their seats, their shouts of encouragement seemingly shaking Hogwarts.

Lynn had had enough of these idiots. With a dark expression, he turned to the referee who was holding a wand but hadn't fired yet and said something.

"Stop dawdling, let's get started."

With the authority of the student council president in place, Lynn said it was about to begin, and the sixth-grade referee did not hesitate. He immediately waved his wand, making a crisp "thud" sound.

"The game has started!" Flint snatched the commentary from Jordan using rock-paper-scissors. "We can see the referee give the signal, and all four competitors are sprinting forward together. This game is sure to be a very close one..."

Flint was only halfway through her sentence when she opened her mouth wide and couldn't continue.

The moment the signal sounded, Lynn shot off like a bullet, leaving the other three 20 meters behind in just a second!

After his initial burst of energy, Lynn felt that if he continued running at full speed, the results might be too frightening. So he quietly slowed down his pace and only used 6% of his strength.

All the cheers and shouts of encouragement came to an abrupt halt after Lynn unleashed his superhuman speed, leaving even the other three participating students stunned in place.

They suddenly felt like they had been acting like a ridiculous pig.
