Lynn deeply agreed with Dumbledore's words. After Dumbledore left, he immediately got out of bed and was just about to change out of his hospital gown to leave the hospital when Madam Pomfrey came in carrying a bottle of medicine.
"What are you going to do, kid?"
Lynn stopped unbuttoning his shirt abruptly and looked at the strict school doctor with an awkward smile.
"I think I'm fully recovered and can be discharged now, madam."
Mrs. Pomfrey, however, pressed him back onto the hospital bed with a serious expression.
"Whether you recover or not is for me to decide. Besides, you were covered in blood when you were brought here, and your injuries were extremely serious. You only just woke up today, so you need to be observed here for a few more days."
Lynn had no choice but to sit back on the hospital bed and obediently drink the medicine that Mrs. Pomfrey handed him.
However, Pomfrey's strictness had its advantages; at least she strictly limited the number of times young wizards could visit Lynn, stipulating that a maximum of three groups of people could enter each day.
After news of Lynn's awakening spread throughout the school, he was treated like a giant panda in a zoo, with little wizards visiting him every day with all sorts of gifts.
The students were very excited to see him, showing both awe and respect for "Professor Lockhart" and the warmth of friendship among classmates.
The little witches of Ravenclaw held his hands and wished him a speedy recovery.
The Slytherin snakes apologized to him before they misunderstood him.
The Gryffindor lion cubs joked that he should be embarrassed to give them so much homework now.
Hufflepuff's students brought him a lot of melons and fruits, telling him that eating more melons was good for his health.
Even several professors came to visit Lynn as a group. They were rather reserved, as it was a bit strange to have former colleagues become their students.
It's worth mentioning that Snape didn't come, because he's still lying in a hospital bed at the school hospital, separated from Lynn by only a wall.
After hearing from Mrs. Pomfrey that he had woken up, Lynn hesitated for two days before deciding to visit Snape that afternoon.
He carried the apple Hagrid had given him, knocked on the door, and walked into Snape's hospital room with a solicitous expression.
Compared to Lynn's ward, Snape's ward was undoubtedly much quieter.
"Professor, I've come to see you."
Lynn placed the apple on Snape's bedside table with a fawning smile.
Snape turned to look at him, his previously pale face appearing somewhat dark.
"Lyon Bellock, you're really something."
He clearly already knew what had happened at the school after he fell into a coma.
Lynn waved his hand modestly and said.
"You flatter me. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have been able to catch the murderer so easily in the end. It's all thanks to you."
He was full of nice things, afraid that Snape would bring up the dueling club incident.
But Lynn was completely overthinking it. This was already embarrassing enough, and now that he'd gone from professor to student, not only would Snape not bring it up himself, but he'd be furious with anyone who mentioned it in front of him!
Lynn sat on the edge of the bed, peeling an apple for Snape.
"Professor, when will you recover? I'm looking forward to your Potions class."
"Hmph! Stop pretending with me. You haven't attended a single Potions class this entire semester."
"Look at what you're saying, it's because you haven't had a chance to attend all semester that you've been thinking about it. Here, have an apple. I wish you a speedy recovery."
"Get out, I'm not eating."
"Don't be so angry, Professor. In any case, I've avenged you."
Snape continued with a cold snort.
"If that dirty, insidious thing hadn't turned into that damn Harry Potter to trick me, he wouldn't even have had a chance to speak."
"I knew it. When you said you wanted to catch Harry, it was actually to protect him."
"Shut up!"
"Then you should eat this apple."
"."
Lynn's life in the hospital ward was relatively leisurely.
He suddenly realized that it wasn't such a bad thing that Mrs. Pomfrey wouldn't let him leave the school hospital. He hadn't had a moment's rest all semester of his third year, and now that the semester was coming to an end, he was finally enjoying a period of peaceful life like a retired old man.
It was another afternoon, and Lynn was enjoying Hermione's leg massage while eating grapes, when the Weasley twins peeked into the ward.
Lynn was chatting with Hermione about Umaru's recent studies and planning what kind of test to give her when they saw two identical red heads sticking in from outside the door.
"What are you doing?" Lynn looked at them speechlessly, thinking that they might be more suited to becoming comedians in the magical world when they grew up.
The Weasley twins walked in, rubbing their hands together.
"When will you recover Lynn? We can't wait to get back to your classes." Fred said, looking like a little Lynn fanboy.
George, with the obsequious expression of a fat translator from the puppet army, said, "We feel uncomfortable every day without a Defense Against the Dark Arts class."
Lynn got goosebumps from listening to their conversation.
"Hey, hey, hey! Just say what you want to say, don't give me this. I know you two well enough. You usually wish you could skip a class and don't want to do a single word of homework. When did you become so hypocritical?"
Fred and George exchanged a glance, then George coughed twice to explain their purpose.
"We have agreed to what you asked of us before."
Lynn looked at them with a bewildered expression.
"What did I say to you?"
The Weasley brothers were getting anxious.
"You can't forget that. You were the one who told us you'd fund our research into pranks—no, alchemy. That was when you were still 'Professor Lockhart.' Now that you're Lynn, you can't go back on your word."
Only after they mentioned it did Lynn remember that there was indeed such a thing.
It was suggested by the Weasley brothers after they tried to play a prank on him but he turned the tables on them.
However, the twins never came to see him again after that, and Lynn forgot about it. He didn't expect them to come back today to bring up the old story again.
"Then why didn't you come to find me sooner?" Lynn looked at the two of them suspiciously.
George and Fred scratched the back of their heads sheepishly.
"Back then, you were impersonating Lockhart, right? After we went back and discussed it, we still felt that Lockhart was a bit unreliable, and it was best if we didn't get involved with him. As it turns out, our intuition was right; Lockhart really was a fraud. Now that you're the one in charge, of course we're happy to accept it."
