My Hogwarts has a serious problem.

Chapter 291, Question 289: Is Behirde your real name?

Chapter 292, Question 289: Is Behirde your real name?

The fat monk stared at Lynn in disbelief.

He stammered, "How...how did you know?"

Lynn stared intently at him and said with utmost seriousness, "You should know that Hogwarts is at a critical juncture right now, so your answer is very important to me. Please think it through carefully before you tell me."

The fat monk could tell that Lynn wasn't joking or trying to get information out of him. He knew that this "Professor Lockhart" usually enjoyed Dumbledore's deep trust, so he solemnly agreed.

"Ask away, I'll tell you the truth."

"Is the method you're researching for resurrecting ghosts a variant of Horcrux making? You treat the ghost's soul as a fragment, then stuff that fragment into a container. If that container is a human, then the ghost will usurp that human's body, achieving a resurrection in another sense, right?"

The fat monk looked at Lynn as if he were a monster.

"You're absolutely right, but this was an accidental discovery by me and my companions while we were researching ghosts. How did you find out about this?"

Lynn took a deep breath and explained briefly: "When I learned about the specific method of making Horcruxes, I actually came up with the same way of resurrection, but I didn't try it out."

Therefore, I have many questions about this method of ghost resurrection. For example, if a ghost uses this method to resurrect itself, does the cost of creating such a Horcrux also require the killing of an innocent life?

The fat monk looked solemn.

"The creation of Horcruxes is an extremely evil magic. To split one's own soul and attach it to another object, one must sacrifice the life of an innocent person. That is why my friend and I have never tried it, nor have we revealed this method of resurrection."

"Does the life sacrificed have to be the life of the body's original owner?"

"That depends on the ghost's own choice. It can choose to kill the owner of the body it wants to occupy, or it can kill another person and share a body with the original owner."

"So, a resurrected ghost can coexist with the original owner of the body in the same body?"

The fat monk said with a gloomy face, "This is not a kind thing. Once the ghost completes the ritual of making the Horcrux, he will never be separated from the host he is inhabiting."

Furthermore, due to the power of black magic, the soul within the body will remain suppressed indefinitely. Unless the resurrected ghost consents, that innocent soul will be forever suppressed, watching helplessly as its body is controlled by others.

"What defects does the body that was made into a Horcrux by a ghost have?" Lynn stared intently at the fat monk, waiting for his answer.

Without hesitation, the fat monk said, "The flaws are very obvious. After all, the ghost is not occupying his own body. The magic he uses is much weaker than that of a normal person, and he cannot fully and flexibly control his body. He looks weak and powerless, like a patient."

Lynn's eyes widened, and he muttered to himself, "So, this is the final piece of the truth."

The fat monk didn't hear him clearly: "What did you say?"

"There weren't many cultivators." Lynn earnestly thanked the fat cultivator. "Thank you for the information. I have one last question for you. Do you know where your ghost friend who did research with you ended up?"

The fat monk frowned and recalled, "I haven't been in touch with him for a long time. After we parted ways, he decided to travel the world. The last time we contacted him, he told me he was in America."

Lynn was ten minutes late for her Defense Against the Dark Arts class in the afternoon.

But none of the young wizards pursued these matters; they were even distracted from class today, and few were willing to raise their hands to answer Lynn's questions.

This was a special case, so he didn't investigate the students' learning progress. After assigning the homework, he announced the end of get out of class.

He then pulled in a Slytherin student and asked him to help him call "Lynn" to his office.

"Professor Snape has been attacked, and now the whole of Slytherin is shrouded in gloom. There are sighs everywhere in the common room." As soon as Umaru entered Lynn's office, she began to describe the current state of the Hogwarts students to him.

"I also heard quite a few students talking about when they would leave Hogwarts. They said they had already written to their families. It is precisely because Dumbledore has been removed from his position as headmaster that the heirs of Slytherin have become so unscrupulous in their killing spree, not even caring whether they have wizarding blood or not, and have started attacking professors directly."

Umaru sat on the sofa with a worried expression.

"At this rate, Lynn, I feel like Hogwarts will be closed before I can even come back to school next year. Will I be unable to learn magic then?"

"No, if my judgment is correct, this should be the last attack."

Umaru's eyes widened: "You caught the murderer?"

Lynn changed out of the dark green robe she wore to class and put on a black robe instead.

"Alright, stop asking so many questions. I'll tell you after I've finished everything. I called you here because I have a task for you."

Upon hearing this, Umaru immediately stood at attention and said playfully, "You can completely trust Umaru!"

The young wizards are destined to have a restless night, as no one knows whether another attack will occur, even though Professor McGonagall assured the students at dinner in the Great Hall that the professors would protect their safety.

But one professor has already been seriously injured and fallen into a coma as a result. If professors can't even protect themselves, how can they expect students to believe that they can protect others?

Therefore, Professor McGonagall's assurances seemed so weak and powerless.

The castle corridors were deserted, with no one in sight except for the flickering flames. At this hour, no normal young wizard would be out at night.

However, normal little wizards don't go out at night, but abnormal little wizards do.

A small, thin figure quietly descended the castle stairs, avoiding the patrolling professors as she walked out of the castle gates like a ghost.

After leaving the castle, she didn't linger. She ran all the way to the lawn where the first-year students had their flight lessons. She knelt down on the grass and groped around. Suddenly, a dark hole appeared in the once flat grass.

Just as she was about to walk down into the cave, a voice suddenly rang out from behind her.

"Are you going to question your accomplice about why Snape is still alive?"

The figure froze instantly, then sluggishly turned to look behind her.

The evening breeze rustled his black robes as Professor Lockhart stared at her expressionlessly.

"Miss Fontana, is Béhildr your real name?"
