My Hogwarts has a serious problem.

Chapter 253, Section 251: Suspicious Points

Chapter 254, Section 251: Suspicious Points

The basilisk was writhing in agony in the classroom, its teeth riddled with nerves, just like any other creature, whether snake or human.

Moreover, Lynn broke its tooth by force instead of pulling it out by the root.

Black blood was splattered everywhere. After entering the classroom, Lynn was also splashed with blood, but he didn't care at all. Instead, he closed his eyes and reached forward, touching a cold, slippery scale. Realizing that he had touched the right thing, he didn't hesitate at all. He used all five claws to crush the basilisk's scales and skin like he was kneading clay, and his fist and forearm were completely embedded in the basilisk's flesh.

The basilisk's agonizing roars grew even more agonizing. It turned back to look at Lynn with eyes filled with boundless fear. Lynn's current behavior was nothing like that of a wizard; he was more like a dragon in human skin!

It watched as Lynn punched through the hindquarters of its body, near its tail. It struggled desperately, trying to break free from the devil's clutches, but all its efforts were in vain.

Lynn gripped the bloody hole he had created, warm snake blood splattering all over his body, but his expression remained unchanged, as indifferent as a executioner.

He extended the wand he had been holding but not using in his right hand, and shoved it directly into the bloody hole that his left hand was gripping, then muttered to himself, "What do you mean?"

"I remember, if a snake is cut in two, it can still live, right?"

Aside from the basilisk's desperate roars, no one could give him an answer, but Lynn didn't need one; he just needed to try.

"Thunderous Explosion (No Amplification)!"

"boom!"

The explosion spell wasn't very loud. Lynn deliberately suppressed its power, partly because she was worried about destroying the classroom and losing her property, and partly because this level of explosion spell was perfectly adequate.

The intense explosion blasted the basilisk's body in two, splattering deep red blood everywhere. The pain of being severed from its body caused the basilisk to faint on the spot!

Lynn didn't kill it because he valued the snake's independent consciousness. He thought that if he captured it alive, he could see if Dumbledore could extract any memories from its mind and find the real culprit who took it out of the Chamber of Secrets.

The basilisk itself isn't the real threat; the biggest question is who controlled Hubert to open the secret chamber and take it away, and what their purpose was.

Just as he was thinking this and was about to reach out to test whether the basilisk was truly unconscious or pretending, a familiar sound like the crack of a whip suddenly rang out, and then less than a second later, the sound rang out again.

Lynn frowned immediately, a bad feeling rising in his heart.

Just as he was hesitating about whether he should open his eyes, he heard hurried footsteps again.

"What, what's going on! Lockhart, what are you doing?" It was Professor McGonagall's voice.

Lynn was finally able to open her eyes with peace of mind.

He did not answer Professor McGonagall's question immediately, but instead scanned the classroom.

The place was covered in foul-smelling blood, and the surrounding area was filled with smashed desks and chairs. A small section of the basilisk's tail was twitching slightly on the ground, but the main body of the unconscious basilisk was gone.

Lynn recalled the two clear and loud voices he had just heard with a solemn expression. Combined with the scene at the time, he was certain that they were sounds that could only be made by Apparition.

"What's going on, Lockhart?" Seeing that Lynn didn't answer her question, Professor McGonagall could only ask again with a grim face. Behind her, Filch was hiding, watching Lynn trembling as he looked like a blood-soaked man.

Lynn sighed, cleaning the blood off his body as he said, "It was Professor McGonagall, the monster that escaped from the Chamber of Secrets. It attacked me, and as you can see, it was a basilisk. I crippled it, leaving only a third of its body here."

Professor McGonagall's expression darkened further; she knew, of course, what the legend of the Chamber of Secrets represented.

"You killed the basilisk?"

But Lynn shook her head with a complicated expression.

"That's the problem. I knocked it out, and then someone used Apparition to take it away."

"Impossible!" Professor McGonagall exclaimed categorically. "No one at Hogwarts could Apparate!"

"Nothing is impossible, Minerva."

Dumbledore walked down the corridor with a solemn expression, reminding Lynn of the American police who arrived late after the crime had occurred.

"Albus, is there really a basilisk in the castle?"

Professor McGonagall wasn't too concerned about Apparition; what really bothered her was the Basilisk, since everyone believed that the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin was just an unrealistic legend.

"Although I hate to admit it, the facts are right in front of us, Minerva." Dumbledore looked at the half-bastard's body lying on the ground with a deep expression.

Lynn's creation was quite a commotion, attracting not only Professor McGonagall and Dumbledore, but also the three heads of the House of Lords: Snape, Flitwick, and Sprout.

"Let's go and calm the students down first, everyone. I'll make arrangements for the rest tomorrow."

With Dumbledore in the school, everyone felt less tense, and since the basilisk's body was lying there so clearly, unlike in the original story where it caused any injuries, the professors were only surprised that the legend of the Chamber of Secrets was true, and didn't feel a strong sense of crisis.

Upon hearing Dumbledore's instructions, the four heads of the house went to their respective house's common room to comfort the students who had been awakened.

The commotion created by Lynn's battle was considerable; the walls were smashed so loudly that the entire castle could hear it.

The professors who had gathered dispersed again, leaving only Dumbledore and Lynn at the scene.

"You must have had a very rewarding three weeks?" With no outsiders around, Dumbledore could speak frankly.

Lynn was still suspicious about the Phantom Teleportation.

"Leaving aside Professor Dumbledore's experiences for now," he crouched down and poked the still twitching severed tail with his wand. "This attack was not initiated by me."

Dumbledore, of course, understood what Lynn meant.

"Did it attack you on its own initiative?"

"Yes, I actually couldn't find where it was hidden at all. I was heading to the principal's office at the time we agreed on ten minutes ago, and then it just rushed out on its own."

"According to legend, Slytherin built the Chamber of Secrets to leave monsters behind in order to eliminate young wizards who did not meet his standards, but this basilisk attacked you on its own initiative." Dumbledore frowned deeply.

"Whether it's Lockhart, whom I'm currently playing, or myself, I possess wizarding blood, meaning I shouldn't be the basilisk's target at all. Not only that, there's another issue." Lynn raised his head and looked seriously at Dumbledore.

"The thing that came to rescue it just now used Apparition at Hogwarts."
