Question: Which would you prefer, *flavored* chocolate or chocolate-flavored *?
"I'm in class right now, can you please not ask such disgusting questions?"
"I'm researching a food magic spell. Once you learn it, whatever you want to eat, you'll get to eat it."
"Is this your reason for wanting to eat *?"
"You've changed, Hermione. You were never like this before."
"It's all because of you that they've become so bad!"
"By the way, aren't you in class? Why are you able to reply to my post?"
"I pasted the virtual forum onto my Charms textbook so I can pretend to be in class while replying to your posts."
"Good grief, I didn't teach you to daydream in class, did I?"
"You told me everything Professor Flitwick taught me during the summer vacation. I can use every spell fluently, so there's no need for me to hear him explain it again."
"However, this cannot be a reason for you to break school rules."
"Wait a minute, Professor Flitwick has asked a question. Let me answer it first."
Lynn sat cross-legged in the Room of Requirement, looking at the post on a slightly glowing magic panel in front of him, pondering how to further improve the spell.
The spell that allows Lynn in the Room of Requirement to communicate with Hermione, who is taking a Charms class, is undoubtedly the connecting spell left by Ravenclaw.
The idea for this spell was brilliant, but Rowena Ravenclaw was limited by her time and could only think of instant text transmission for communication, but she could not take it any further to make the spell more perfect.
Although Lynn wasn't exactly a genius, he could stand on the shoulders of countless geniuses.
After the caster of the Connection Spell uses this spell, they create a magical origin similar to a server. Those who connect to this spell through secondary connection spells are all users who have joined this server. The caster has absolute control over this magical origin. Other members can only send and receive information, and the way they send information is very primitive. They communicate by handwriting words with their wands.
Lynn's first improvement to the spell was changing the way information was sent to alphabetical spelling, which greatly improved the convenience of text editing. Furthermore, the original connection spell did not have a dialog box when sending and receiving information; instead, only characters made of magic appeared.
Lynn constructed a simple panel from the magical origin he created. Currently, the only person connected to him is Hermione. He can edit dialogue boxes with different themes in this panel, and Hermione can choose any dialogue box to communicate with him, similar to a certain online forum or message board.
Unfortunately, Lynn hasn't figured out what conditions are needed for this spell to expand the magic origin (server). The origin can only accommodate a maximum of five people who can connect through the secondary connection spell; any more than that won't be able to enter. Otherwise, he could have used this spell to build a large-scale real-time interactive platform, like a Hogwarts forum, and managed it from behind the scenes as a dog. It sounds pretty good.
However, there is always hope for improvement over time. For example, Lynn is currently trying to add a bean sprout emoji to his magic origin.
"Hmph, Gryffindor has successfully gained 5 points."
Hermione had already answered Professor Flitwick's question. Even though she was daydreaming in class, her excellent answer went unnoticed by Professor Flitwick, who even gave her an extra five points.
"Oh, really? But five points is too little. It's nowhere near as much as Professor Snape adds, which is ten or twenty points."
Lynn perfectly embodied his online eccentric nature; the moment he touched the keyboard, he couldn't help but become strange and eccentric.
"You wait till I get back, I'll smash your head in!"
"Ha, what a boastful statement."
Lynn didn't chat with Hermione for long; the thread went off-topic. His original intention in posting was to ask Hermione whether she was more tolerant of food based on taste or appearance.
He pulled out a sandwich he had previously pilfered from the kitchen, cast a gourmet spell, and took a bite of the sandwich with the tomato slices removed.
Hmm, it tastes like butter candy.
Sure enough, he hadn't eaten candy in a long time. Even though he hadn't realized it yet, the Food Spell still detected his subconscious. Just like how Boggarts can see into people's deepest fears and manifest them, the fundamental principle behind the Food Spell is very similar.
Today is September 21st, and Lynn will return to her normal schedule tonight.
In the three weeks since he traveled back in time, he has made considerable gains. Although he has not yet found out where the basilisk was hidden or who took it away, he has improved significantly in other aspects.
Especially his constitution attribute. After completing Ian's mission in his second year, Lynn's constitution attribute remained at 6 points. Now, because of the title, it suddenly increased by two points to 8 points, which greatly increased his physical strength.
There were also the curses left by the three giants and that [scepter] which was temporarily useless. The real goal was not achieved, but a lot of other miscellaneous things were added up.
Lynn spent another day in the Room of Requirement, where, besides studying spells, she was also scratched and bitten by Hermione, who came over as soon as class was over.
His skin was thicker and his flesh was tougher, so of course he wasn't afraid of Hermione's ticklish "punishment." After coaxing her to leave, Lynn also timed his departure to come out of the Room of Requirement.
It's 9:55 PM now. He and Dumbledore agreed to meet at 10:16 PM. It takes about ten minutes to get from the Room of Requirement to the Headmaster's office, and Lynn plans to arrive ten minutes early to prepare.
He transformed into Professor Lockhart's appearance and, after three weeks, was once again able to walk openly in the castle.
The curfew at Hogwarts was at ten o'clock. He came out of the Room of Requirement less than five minutes before curfew, so the castle was empty except for the flickering candlelight on the walls.
When Lynn came down from the sixth floor, he ran into Filch, who was patrolling the castle. The castle keeper was not polite to students, but he was very friendly to professors. He bowed to Lynn and chatted with him for a few minutes.
"Professor Lockhart, where are you headed so late?"
With plenty of time to spare, Lynn struck up a conversation with him with great interest: "Go find Professor Dumbledore, I have some things to discuss with him. But you, you're already preparing to arrest people as soon as curfew begins?"
"Those mischievous monkeys are very clever; they know how to seize opportunities when people aren't paying attention."
Just as they were talking, a gust of wind suddenly blew by, carrying some familiar strange noises.
Lynn frowned.
"Did you hear anything?"
Filch looked at him blankly: "No, did a little wizard run out of the lounge?"
At that moment, Mrs. Loris, Filch's cat, suddenly bristled at his feet!
It cried out mournfully, as if it had sensed something terrifying!
"Lynn! It's coming! I can hear it coming!"
Tom called out anxiously from inside Lynn's pocket; he was giving a warning!
Even without mentioning the name, Lynn immediately knew what Tom was talking about. His expression turned serious as he narrowed his eyes and pulled out his wand from his sleeve, quickly reminding Filch.
"Close your eyes, and don't open them no matter what you hear. Then turn around and run with your cat, as far as you can."
Filch also sensed something was wrong, and he clutched his cat in horror: "What?!"
"Do as I say if you want to live!"
Filch ran away within seconds without hesitation.
His hurried footsteps gradually faded away, and the corridor seemed to return to silence, but an unpleasant hissing sound grew louder and louder in Lynn's ears!
He looked with a cold smile at the thick, long shadow that was faintly visible under the light on the ceiling not far away.
"You have some nerve! I couldn't find you, but you came looking for me instead!"
