My Hogwarts has a serious problem.

Chapter 169, Section 166: Rainy Night

"Keep making things up! Keep making things up!" Lynn sneered at Yelena, signaling her to continue her performance.

Seeing that Lynn truly didn't believe her, Yelena took a deep breath and, suppressing her shame, explained.

"My magical talent is very average. When I was learning Apparition at Cordosdoriz Magic Academy, I almost died from splitting myself, so I have a psychological trauma about Apparition ever since."

Lynn still didn't believe what she said. Although the job market in the wizarding world wasn't too competitive, getting a job in an official organization like the Ministry of Magic was no easy feat. In Britain, the minimum requirement to become a civil servant in the wizarding world was passing the OWLs (Out of the Hand) exams at Hogwarts in the fifth year.

In a place like the Soviet Union, Yelena wasn't just an ordinary employee; she held the position of department head. Her academic performance in school must have been quite good. Of course, Lynn wouldn't believe someone like that who claimed she couldn't Apparate.

Just as Yelena was looking at Lynn, who just couldn't believe it and was gritting her teeth, preparing to get off the bus here and leave the city on her own.

The once bright night sky suddenly turned dark.

Turbulent dark clouds blanketed the entire night sky, the temperature gradually became muggy, and the air began to feel humid, as if a heavy rain could begin at any moment.

Lynn got up and stood with Yelena on the side of the road.

He frowned, clearly sensing that something was wrong with this heavy rain.

"Is the weather in Moscow usually this unpredictable?"

Yelena looked at the thick, dark clouds in the sky, her lips slightly pale, and stared intently at the inky blackness.

"It's Granny Kusazina! She's leading the wizards of the Magic Research Department in a large-scale celestial magic spell!"

Lynn stared at the sky in shock, his eyes wide.

"There's such a bug? Is she planning to massacre the entire city?"

Yelena shook her head and said, "It's not as exaggerated as you think. They can only manipulate the heavens to make it rain, and then attach magic to the rain for detection, but they can't make it any kind of deadly."

Even so, it's already quite exaggerated. Despite having studied dark magic and various spells and transfigurations so deeply, Lynn's understanding of magic in the Harry Potter world is still limited to the image of two wizards shooting lasers at each other with wands.

Even the most outrageous thing in the Fantastic Beasts movies is just a spell that blows up a mountain. Who would have thought that a wizard from Su could use magic to change the weather!

"No, Grandma Kusacina won't be on their side, she won't..." Yelena murmured to herself, her lips trembling and her face pale.

Lynn tilted her head and looked at her, not understanding why she was so scared.

"You just said this magic relies on rain for detection, so why don't you just hide in the car? What are you afraid of?"

"It's not that simple. It's not just about keeping the rain out..." Yelena was about to explain to Lynn when raindrops began to fall.

The raindrops were large, pattering loudly on the cement road.

Lynn was tense all over, first putting on his Iron Armor Charm, preparing to face the battle ahead.

He didn't seem too worried. He had already gained a considerable advantage, and even if he couldn't win in the end, he could simply summon Fox and run away with Yelena.

Of course, he would definitely ask for payment afterward; the remaining magic notes in that library were quite good, enough to give her a second life.

The cold rain fell on Yelena, and she hugged her arms tightly. Her body trembled at first, but then the unease and sadness on her face disappeared, replaced by surprise.

Lynn raised an eyebrow and glanced at Yelena, who was behaving like a character from a Peking Opera face-changing act: "What's wrong? Are you stunned?"

Yelena didn't argue with him. Her expression became much more solemn. She remained silent for a long time, the heavy rain soaking her wizard robe. The wet robe clung to her body, highlighting her curvaceous figure.

Unfortunately, the only man present wasn't interested in it. Lynn didn't want to be out in the rain with her, so he opened the car door and got inside.

Not long after, Ivanov didn't arrive, and Yelena, soaked to the bone, got back into the car.

"Grandma Kusacina did not betray me. She told me something through this rain and urged me to leave Mosco as soon as possible. She then lied and said she had not found me."

Lynn raised an eyebrow.

"Then why aren't you leaving? What are you doing sitting back here? Did your conscience awaken and you're willing to come back and be my bait again?"

Yelena looked at him intently.

"Do you really want to kill Ivanov?"

"Nonsense, otherwise, why would I be playing house with you here?"

"He is the director of the Aurora Bureau of the Soviet Union. He is in charge of the entire armed forces of the Soviet Union. He is not so easy to kill, having risen to such a position at such a young age."

"How do you know you can't kill it if you don't try?" Lynn took out his wand, held it out of the car window to let the rain soak it, and then picked up a towel and carefully dried it.

Yelena stared at him.

"I know you're so confident because you have your own reasons, so I have a plan."

"Tell me if you have any ideas."

"You can become me. Through this rain, Granny Kusazina will tell Ivanov my location. After the attack, the Magic Council assigned most of the Aurors to guard the headquarters. Ivanov won't be bringing too many people, so you can take this opportunity to try to kill him."

Lynn carefully considered her plan, then turned to look at her and said.

"You've already repaid the life you owed me, so what do you want from helping me like this?"

"If you can kill him, that's exactly what I want. If you can't kill him, I believe you can still get away..." Yelena pursed her lips and continued, "We can still leave together. You can use Apparition to help me get out of Sugolia, no, the country that's now called Gooseland in Muggles."

Lynn blinked and said very bluntly, "You're overthinking it. I can't Apparate either."

Yelena: ...

So what was she feeling ashamed of before?!

"You didn't do well in school either?"

"On the contrary, I've always been number one in my grade, just for other reasons." Lynn didn't tell her that he wasn't just because he hadn't learned yet. "But I can agree to leave together. If I can't kill him this time, we can drive out of the Soviet Union."

He patted the steering wheel in his hand.

"Just do as you said. I'll become you, and you'll have your undercover agent tell that coward I'll be waiting for him here. You drive along this highway and wait for me ten kilometers away. If I kill him, I'll share the good news with you. If I don't succeed, then we'll continue our escape together."

Yelena stared intently at Lynn.

"What if you die?"

Lynn held the wand as if it were a sharp sword as she stepped out of the car into the rain.

Voldemort is now in his hands. Lynn has no idea he'll fall for him here. The wind whips his robes, and he twirls his wand between his fingers as he casually remarks.

"Then please place a flower on my grave this time next year."

I owe two chapters for the 500 monthly pass, and one chapter for the 10,000 points a reader gave me, so I still owe three chapters. Hmm, I have some free time each day, so I'll see if I can make up for it all.
