Author's Note on the Launch of Chapter 138

Author's Note on the Launch of Chapter 139

I still remember the post I wrote at the beginning of 2020 when the book was published.

At the end, I wished all readers a Happy New Year 2021 in advance.

Good grief, it's only been a week since 2021 started, and I already have to write a post about launching a product!

_(:з ∠)_

(The following is just filler; you can skip to the end if you're too lazy to read it.)

I've been writing novels for over two years now.

I've been submitting manuscripts and publishing books for over a year, but none of them have been successfully signed. I estimate that all those rejected manuscripts add up to hundreds of thousands of words.

No matter how I write it, I can't get it signed.

This once made me feel that I was not suited for this industry at all. Although I love storytelling, I am not necessarily a good storyteller.

But I still love telling stories!

If I can't get a contract for original works, then I'll just write fanfiction.

Having chosen a subject I was most familiar with and loved, I began to write.

Then this year I signed my first contract.

I was prepared to fail, but the result was quite good for a newcomer like me.

But there were too many things happening this year. Various exams were postponed, and there was an accident at home. In addition, there were questions I wrote myself, so the outline just fell apart.

I was young then, and I released too much poison.

I'm much more mature now; at least I know not to feed men shit...

As for this book, its performance has completely exceeded my expectations.

Really!

I never dared to dream of such a recommendation from Sanjiang before. Thank you to all my readers for your support.

And editor Jiang Cha is so thoughtful, answering every question, I'm so touched!

Of all the books I've written so far, the first volume is the one I'm most satisfied with. Professor Fox is also my favorite original character. He has a sad past, but he's on the path to a bright future.

He holds an irreplaceable place in Lynn's heart; he is a mentor, a father, and a friend all in one.

As for Volume Two...

Okay, I admit that the success of the first volume made me blindly confident.

The sudden loss of magic power does indeed feel like eating shit.

I was so engrossed in the thrill of foreshadowing that I completely forgot the mistake I made in my previous book.

The writing of Volume Two was really difficult for me. I had a cold and a low-grade fever at the time. I saw a bunch of negative reviews in the comments section, so I forced myself to write more than 10,000 words in one day, using that day to unravel all the foreshadowing.

So the second volume seems a bit anticlimactic, it should actually be more interesting.

However, I'll finally be able to write everything I wanted to write in the second volume.

Then comes the third volume, which I'm currently writing.

There were some problems along the way, such as the part where I used an overused trope in the story.

I know that adding those two cheesy jokes was pointless, but I didn't have much of a choice at the time because of some issues.

If you don't like it, just ignore it. It doesn't matter whether it's there or not; it won't affect the later plot.

Volume 3 is almost finished, and the next volume will start in about a week. I hope you will still like the next volume.

Finally, I hope that everyone who has read this far will support the official version and continue to subscribe.

There's a saying that circulates among authors: every reader who reads the official version is an angel.

You guys are truly angels. Without your subscriptions and support, writers would have no food to eat, and who would write good works?

The only way I can repay you is by writing better stories, stories that will make you happy, move you, and leave a lasting impression, so that you feel your money was well spent.

I've said everything I needed to say, now I'm going to get back to writing. I'll save tomorrow morning's chapter for noon.

The paid chapters will be released at noon, with a minimum guarantee of five chapters totaling 10,000 words. We will release as many chapters as we write.

Finally, thank you again for your support.

thank you!
