Chapter 11.011. The Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor who studies dark magic.

Lynn didn't wait long in the robe shop; soon he saw Fox walk in carrying a money bag.

"Let's go, Bellok. Something seems to have happened at Gringotts. If you've finished buying your things, we'd better leave quickly."

Lynn picked up Umaru's cage, greeted Madam Malkin, and then walked with Fox toward the Leaky Cauldron.

"We're outside, you should have some orange juice. Tom, a butterbeer and an orange juice."

Old Tom brought them beer and orange juice on a tray, and grumbled a complaint as he did so.

"These ugly bastards are guarding all the exits of Diagon Alley. They say there were thieves who stole from Gringotts, but they're scaring away all my customers. Who wants to drink while they're staring at them like that?"

"Don't worry, Tom. Once word gets out about the Gringotts theft, the goblins will suffer far greater losses than you."

"What does that have to do with me? I only care about how many Galleons I lost; who cares about them?"

Old Tom muttered to himself as he picked up his tray and returned to his bar, looking quite upset.

"Never mind anything else for now." After Tom left, Fox placed the money bag in the center of the table.

"One of these is worth 500 Galleons, and including the one I gave you before, that makes a total of 525 Galleons. This is all the investment I've made in you."

Lynn weighed the money pouch in his hand; it was very light, probably under some kind of spell, as it didn't look like it contained 500 gold coins at all.

Fox continued, "This money is enough for you until graduation, provided you don't buy anything expensive."

Lynn put the money bag back on the table. Although he didn't know much about the specific purchasing power of Galleons, he roughly knew that 525 Galleons was a considerable fortune.

"I can't live with myself taking the money and not doing anything. Now you can finally tell me what you're actually researching, right?"

When it came to his research, Fox pondered for a moment, then became much more serious, looking intently at Lynn.

"I'm not afraid for you to know, many people in the magical world know what I'm researching."

"It is forbidden for wizards, yet it is the pinnacle of magic; wizards call it black magic."

Whether it was a misperception or just a premonition, Lynn felt as if the air around him had frozen when Fox mentioned black magic.

"It's not something related to black magic, but black magic itself."

I can't tell you the specifics right now, but I can assure you that my purpose in researching it is absolutely not to harm anyone; otherwise, Dumbledore wouldn't have wanted me to be a professor at Hogwarts.

Although he had already guessed it beforehand, Lynn was still speechless after hearing the so-called forbidden magic from Fox himself.

"If you regret it after Hogwarts starts, you can come back to me and return the 500 Galleons. That way, our deal will be void. As for the 25 Galleons, consider it my personal donation to you. After all, I think you're a good match for me."

Although dark magic has a bad reputation, Lynn has no objection to researching it. Putting aside the fact that he has extremely high talent in dark magic, it would be a waste not to use it.
