Chapter 701 You Are a Legend Too (Part 2)

As dusk fell.

Autumn in Oxfordshire is both bleak and charming.

The allure of a blend of prosperity and desolation.

The Muggle cities are bustling, while the wizard villages are desolate.

What appears to be a harmonious coexistence is actually rife with persecution and discrimination in the unseen darkness.

Night is approaching.

Wizards, like rats, hide in filthy, sewer-like huts.

As always, a gray wizard stands guard outside the Golden Griffin's dilapidated hut.

The Grey Wizards not only stand guard for their master, Euric Gamp, but also protect some of the most outstanding members of the European wizarding community.

Inside the small shabby house.

Moriarty finished telling the last part of the story.

He sensed the tense atmosphere both inside and outside the house, as well as the oppressive environment.

A powerful wizard was nearly driven to the brink of despair by a weak Muggle!

Moriarty turned his gaze to Gamp, who was deep in thought. "Future Minister, knowing the future, how will you react?"

Gamp raised his hand, a hint of hesitation appearing in his eyes.

"Please don't call me Minister. I have a new idea, but I need to hear Mr. Hikaru's opinion."

After Gamp finished speaking, he turned to look at the light.

"Mr. Guang, your identity is not important to me. What is important is that you must have a more perfect way to deal with Muggles and wizards."

With a half-smile, Guang said, "I listened to Mr. Moriarty's entire explanation, Mr. Gump. If you do as Mr. Moriarty says, you can perfectly resolve the conflict between Muggles and wizards."

"True feelings for true feelings, peaceful coexistence."

"It's not impossible."

Gamp nodded, then changed his tone, his voice thick with fighting spirit: "Is it possible that wizards and Muggles are fighting against each other, like aliens?"

The voice just fell.

Behind Gamp, Justus, the Lauder brothers, Capas, and others erupted in excited cheers.

"Yay! I knew the boss wouldn't give in to Muggles!"

"Fight Muggles! Avenge our persecuted friends and family!"

"If war breaks out, I suggest the royal family be the first target. Their arrogant attitude is truly despicable!"

Gamp pressed his hands down in a gesture of restraint, stopping his brothers from cheering.

Gamp said earnestly.

"Mr. Moriarty, Mr. Hikaru."

"My parents divorced when I was young, my mother was persecuted to death by Muggles, and my father fell ill and never recovered."

"Fortunately, during my time at Hogwarts, I went to Slytherin House and met these brothers."

"We've supported each other all the way, and along the way, we've witnessed far too many wizards being persecuted by Muggles..."

"As I gradually gained fame and power, I suggested to the Queen that she issue an edict to the wizards, in which I would guarantee that they would not rebel."

"But guess what the Queen said?"

As Gamp spoke, his eyes reddened slightly.

Justus and his companions behind him looked indignant.

"The Queen said," Gamp said, enunciating each word clearly, "Who do you think you are? You dare to challenge me?"

"I'll never forget the way she looked at me, like I was a cockroach!"

"That disgust and hatred, that contempt and discrimination, I hated it terribly!"

"I wish I could just pull out my wand and unleash an Avada Kedavra curse on her!"

"But I desperately restrained myself. I carried not only my own life on my shoulders, but also the fate and lives of the entire wizarding community!"

"What's infuriating is that the Queen provoked me; she knows I'm angry, and she knows I dare not show my anger."

Gamp swallowed back his anger.

"I thought that by obeying the royal family, wizards could live a peaceful life."

"I thought that by establishing the Secrecy Act, wizards could escape those strange looks."

"But? You two told me that everything I did was ultimately overturned by my future self!"

Gamp was so excited that his head and hands were trembling.

"I'm going to reverse the future!"

Gamp snapped his fingers at Justus.

Justus took out a roll of parchment covered with dense English writing and a long list of names.

"The Secrecy Law of the International Wizarding Federation!" Justus's eyes flashed with disgust. "Signed in 1689 at Mr. Gamp's repeated pleas! But it didn't officially take effect until 1692, delayed for a full three years simply because the royal family wanted to suppress Mr. Gamp!"

Gampo took over the Secret Service Act and did something that no one expected.

Gamp held the two corners of the parchment scroll in his hands.

Work hard!

"Sizzle!"

The parchment scroll was torn in half!

Gamp folded the two pieces of paper together and tore them apart with force again.

It became four pieces.

"Snapped!"

Gampo slammed the shattered Secrets Act to the ground.

"I've wanted to do this for a long time!" Gamp said with a hearty smile.

"Me too!" Lilith suddenly stood up, her high boots covering her jade-like feet stepping onto the parchment.

The original draft of the "Secrecy Law" was torn up by Gamp, the very person who drafted it, which brought Lilith complete relief.

This was even more shocking and comforting to Lilith than Gamp breaking the Secret Service Act himself.

"You two," Gamp looked at Moriarty and Hikaru, "can you help me?"

Moriarty shook his head decisively: "Help you start a war? Slaughter Muggles? Even though Muggles have been persecuting wizards, the majority of Muggles are innocent."

Hikaru also refused, saying, "Mr. Gamp, you know I only fight for immortality."

Gamp was not deterred by the rejection at all; he smiled and said, "Then how about helping me overthrow the royal family's rule?"

His triangular eyes were so wide open from laughing that he could barely open them.

"I'm sure you all dislike the royal family too. No matter the era, they're a bunch of parasites! They're definitely not innocent."

"And I have a feeling!"

Gamp suddenly opened his eyes.

"After overthrowing the monarchy, the three of us will reap rewards. I can't quite describe the feeling, but it has saved me many times!"

As Gamp spoke, he looked at Justus, who nodded seriously.

"Is that so…?"

Moriarty hesitated for a moment, and Light's attitude was no longer as resolute as before.

"Let's go and see," Moriarty decided. "Mr. Gamp, are you moving out tonight?"

"Yes!"

Moriarty nodded slightly. The time magic contained in the Eyes of Time Lag was running low. They couldn't stay in this world for too long, or they wouldn't be able to go back.

Thinking of this, Moriarty looked towards the light.

As light's body became increasingly ethereal, he could not remain in this world for long.

Sensing Moriarty's gaze, Light seemed unwilling to admit defeat and declared, "Alright, Mr. Gamp, I'll go with Peter."

Gamp's joy was palpable.

The decision was made to begin the operation in 10 minutes.

Gamp was confident he could finish the fight in ten minutes, but more than the fight, he wanted Moriarty and Hikari to witness this historic moment.

10 minute later.

Buckingham Palace.

Moriarty, Gamp, and Hikaru stood outside the palace.

The three men's companions stood behind them.

Draco whispered to Soldaya, "My ancestors received their investiture from the Queen here before."

Capas Crouch scoffed, "It is a disgrace for powerful wizards to be crowned by weak Muggles! Our purpose is to reverse that."

Gump headed toward Buckingham Palace and raised his wand.

He recited several spells in one breath.

Moriarty heard that these spells were similar to Muggle banishment spells and shielding spells.

"Reverse the future," Gamp said quietly, "starting now!"

No sooner had he finished speaking than Gamp's companions charged out like a pack of wolves!

Not long after, crackling sounds came from Buckingham Palace, and every now and then a Muggle was struck by the spell, smashed through a window, and flew out.

Ten minutes later, silence returned.

Justus's voice rang out: "Mr. Gamp, it's resolved!"

"Set it on fire, burn this place down!" Gamp did not hesitate for a moment.

Justus didn't hesitate at all.

A massive fire engulfed Buckingham Palace!

Hermione gazed at the flames and murmured, "When I was a child, I dreamed more than once that I was working in that palace and fulfilling my ambitions."

Gump laughed: "Miss Hermione, your future self in this world will dream that you are working in Buckingham Palace, which has now become the Ministry of Magic."

Then he shouted, "I am Yurik Gamp!!!"

"I speak on behalf of wizards!!!"

"In the future, there will only be one voice, and that will be the voice of the wizards! The voice of the Ministry of Magic!!!"

With his voice booming, Gamp's voice resonated throughout London.

In that instant, Moriarty, Gamp, and Light felt a strange sensation welling up within them.

In particular, Moriarty and Hikaru, who are incredibly close to God, seem to see the timeline and the line of fate slowly shifting, making them unpredictable.

"I suddenly remembered something."

Gamp gazed at Moriarty and the light, his face flickering in and out of focus under the glow of the fire.

"I am the current legend of magic," he said.

"Mr. Moriarty is a future legend of magic."

"Then, it's obvious..."

Upon hearing this, Moriarty looked at the light, and Gamp also looked at the light.

Moriarty and Hikari exchanged a meaningful glance, and said at the same time:

"Mr. Hikaru, you are a legend of magic from the past!"

"Light, you too are a legend of magic!"

(This last plot point was originally intended to be set after the establishment of the wizarding regime in this world, but unfortunately there wasn't enough space. However, Moriarty has guessed a bit about Light's true identity, hehe! Bonus chapter this afternoon)
