The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 696 The Kraken? A Giant Octopus!

Chapter 696 The Kraken? A Giant Octopus!

Moriarty and his party, along with the wizard Black, headed towards the captain's cabin, accompanied by Captain Jack.

On the way, the wizard Black asked, "Are you sure it's the Kraken?"

“My eyes,” Jack said, pointing to his eyes, “can see clearly up to 1600 feet at night. There’s no need to rely on luck anymore.”

Wizard Black turned pale upon hearing this, while Draco scoffed, "It's just a sea monster, isn't it? Is it as powerful as a dragon? As strong as a thunderbird? As terrifying as a basilisk?"

Thanks to Moriarty, Draco has encountered many magical creatures, and Marcus, the Master of Magical Creatures, always brings out some strange and wonderful magical creatures, which Draco is already used to.

The Wizard of Black looked at Draco, the little boy with Black blood, and found it hard for him to be angry with him.

"My child," sighed the wizard Black, "if people were willing to set aside their pride and prejudice, it would not be the Kraken, but the Norse god of the sea!"

"Poseidon?"

Lilith's eyes flashed with disdain.

In her view, only Moriarty deserved the title of "god".

Jack said, "Don't underestimate the Kraken. It possesses divine power, or perhaps magic? It can be anything; its power manifests in every aspect of its existence."

"It's not the kind of big guy that just charges around recklessly based on its physical instincts."

At this point, Jericho and Black exchanged a glance. "We should introduce our opponents this time."

So on the way, the two of them introduced themselves, one after the other.

The Kraken of Norway.

It was first discovered by wizards and was named the Norwegian Sea Monster because it was found underwater between Norway and Iceland.

No one has ever seen the true face of the Kraken, the only certainty being that it has black tentacles.

Those tentacles were long and large, covered with suckers, and possessed immense strength and astonishing suction.

Based on these characteristics, Muggles determined that the Kraken's true form might be a giant octopus or a giant squid.

Whether it's a giant octopus or a giant squid, they are both animals.

However, the Kraken exhibited incredible power over the next century.

It cannot be injured, cannot die, has no hibernation period, does not need to eat, has an extremely strong desire to attack, can launch tidal surges, and change the direction of seawater flow.

Compared to these, superhuman strength is merely an ordinary ability.

After hearing this, Moriarty marveled at the strangeness of this world. This Norwegian sea monster had gone beyond the category of "strange" and could be considered a magical beast or a monster!

At this moment, we arrived at the captain's cabin.

Jack led Moriarty and his group into the captain's cabin.

Captain Adams was observing the distant sea through his binoculars, while First Mate Alexander was sketching on the nautical chart.

Adams saw Moriarty, took off his binoculars, and walked up to Moriarty.

"Sir, you are guests of the Black Agate. The Black Agate is currently facing a great threat, but you can rest assured that everything is in our hands."

"We will defend everything on this ship to the death, as evidenced by the strength and reputation of the Royal Navy!"

After Adams finished speaking, he gave a quick salute, then returned to his post with his head held high, picked up his binoculars, and continued to observe the sea.

"This Muggle is really good!" Draco whispered, his eyes filled with approval.

"Stop showing off," Soldaya shoved Draco aside, then asked curiously, "Muggles are too confident. What makes them think they can handle that sea monster?"

Everyone nodded in agreement; indeed, Captain Adams appeared very confident.

But where does this confidence come from?

"Jack, the Kraken is coming on strong," Adams suddenly said.

Moriarty could hear the excitement in his tone.

"At the speed of the Kraken, in another minute," Alexander said, looking up from the nautical chart, "the Kraken will be only 328 feet away from us."

Moriarty did the math in his head: 328 feet is 100 meters.

"Jack, can your musketeers hit the sea monster 328 feet below the surface?" Adams took off his binoculars and looked at Jack.

Jack stood at attention and shouted, "No problem!"

"My musketeers are equipped with the latest flintlock muskets."

"My musketeers can see up to 1000 feet even at night; they can hit the sea monster perfectly well."

"Alright!" Adams shouted. "Mr. Black, as we agreed before, after Jack angers the sea monster, it's your turn to take action."

"No problem," said Wizard Black, his demeanor calm and composed.

Moriarty and his men then understood the Black Onyx's battle plan.

Draco exclaimed, "Mr. Black? You're taking on the Kraken all by yourself? Are you kidding me?!"

Black smiled at Draco and said in an educational tone, "Child, I don't intend to kill the Kraken, I just want to take the treasure it guards."

"There are many clever methods that can be used to achieve this goal."

At that moment, a glint of light flashed in Black's eyes, revealing the unique intelligence of a Hogwarts graduate.

He smiled slightly at Draco:

"The Black family motto is 'Always Pure,' and every member of our family is a star in the sky. Although the Black family is still small now, I believe that one day the Black family will be world-renowned!"

"The Black family will shine just like their name!"

Draco nodded involuntarily, his eyes filled with admiration.

Black's words instantly elevated Moriarty's opinion of him by several notches.

By this time, the Black family had begun naming their members after stars.

Lilith, Jericho, and the others had strange expressions on their faces.

He thought to himself that the Black family was indeed world-renowned, but the future Black members would be more extraordinary than the last.

By their time, the last three daughters of the Black family had all been ruined by Moriarty.

Thinking of this, Lilith gave Moriarty a meaningful look.

Moriarty sensed something was off about Lilith.

"The waves are coming!"

Suddenly, Adams shouted.

The next instant, the sky suddenly darkened, dark clouds gathered, and lightning flashed and thunder roared.

Adams dashed out of the captain's cabin like a cheetah.

Then a loud work chant rang out:

"reef!!!"

"anchor!!!"

"Turn left!!!"

Under Adams's orders, the sailors worked hard.

The Black Onyx and the sea engaged in a tug-of-war.

Alexander took Adams's telescope and observed the Kraken, seeing a dark shadow beneath the surface of the sea.

"The Kraken is coming, Jack! Mr. Black!"

"Let's go." Jack and Wizard Black walked together onto Class A.

Moriarty and his group also came over. Draco was caught off guard by the sudden downpour and it took him a long time to cast a rain-avoidance spell.

but……

"Splash!"

A downpour soaked Draco from head to toe.

"Why?" Draco's mouth dropped open.

Soldaya smiled and chanted a spell for Draco, saying the child was freezing.

Moriarty was clean and dry. He reached out and caught a drop of rainwater, sensing the magic within it.

"This torrential rain was brought by the Kraken, and it's full of the Kraken's magic. As long as you get these raindrops on you, the Kraken will know your location."

Lilith suddenly realized: "Location function? The Kraken is quite intelligent."

The wizard Black pondered, "So that's how it is. No wonder everyone who saw the Kraken died, and even those who escaped to land died in strange ways."

During the conversation, the musketeers opened fire.

"Bang bang bang!"

After one round of firing, Jack looked up at Wizard Black.

"Sir! Quick! The tentacles are coming!"
