The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 677 Suspicious Messages

Lilith's voice abruptly stopped.

That concludes Gryffindor's message.

Moriarty and Lilith exchanged glances, their surprise and confusion evident.

After a long silence, Moriarty spoke first: "This comment has so many commendable aspects."

Lilith nodded and said, "That's absolutely right. There's too much information to explain in a short time."

"Have you written everything down?"

"Are you doubting my memory?" Lilith puffed out her chest, her chest heaving dramatically. "I memorized it perfectly."

"Excellent! This comment is a classic. I will recommend that our little wizard memorize the entire thing!"

Moriarty glanced around the tower one last time, his gaze meaningful and nostalgic, before leading Lilith out.

Moriarty and Lilith, having left Black Lake, went straight to the principal's office.

Lilith had already memorized Gryffindor's message on the way and handed it to Dumbledore: "Professor, this is the secret guarded by the Magic Tower. We hope you will take a look."

Dumbledore read very carefully, and his eyelids trembled when he read several important passages.

Moriarty expertly made himself and Lilith two cups of coffee, and Lilith whispered, "It's rare to find a normal-tasting drink in the principal's office."

Moriarty curled the corners of his lips. The portrait of the headmaster on the wall was now staring seriously at Dumbledore. They also knew that the Immortal Organization was a formidable enemy of Hogwarts, and the key to defeating the Immortal Organization lay in the Tower of Magic.

"Mr. Hat, if you were to hide your treasure inside Hogwarts, where would you hide it?"

As Moriarty sipped his coffee, he spoke to the hat, which, propelled by Moriarty's magic, floated over.

The Sorting Hat, still seemingly resentful of Lilith's brutal method of drawing her sword, reluctantly says, "Just keep the treasure hidden in your heart, okay?"

Moriarty smiled and shook his head. Lilith stared at Moriarty, mesmerized. Moriarty looked cool like this—she had always thought so, ever since six years ago.

After a long while, until Lady Hodge's furious roar echoed from outside the castle: "Don't let me see you using flying brooms without permission!"

Moriarty recalled playing with flying broomsticks with Jericho when they first entered Slytherin, and then joining the Slytherin team together, flying and playing together.

Those days seem to be a long time ago for him.

"If I were to hide a treasure in Hogwarts, I might hide it in the Golden Snitch or a flying broomstick, who knows?"

Moriarty chuckled.

"Ah~" Dumbledore exclaimed. After reading Gryffindor's message, he took off his glasses and wiped his eyes with a handkerchief.

"I'm sure you think exactly the same way I do!"

Dumbledore looked intently at Moriarty and said firmly, "We must think exactly the same thing."

Godric Gryffindor believed that magical relics should be used to benefit wizards.

He said he hid a relic of light magic at Hogwarts, so he must have used it to benefit Hogwarts and generations of young wizards.

Dumbledore firmly believed that Moriarty could also understand Gryffindor's deeper meaning and would certainly not be confined to his own ideas.

Moriarty said calmly, "I've always known that the Four Great Wizards are not narrow-minded wizards."

Salazar's ghost once said that elemental magic was not the magical principle pursued by the Four Great Masters, and magical artifacts were naturally not their goal either.

But Moriarty was different.

His magical path involves drawing knowledge of magical elements from magical relics in order to find a way to become a god.

"I understand Gryffindor's meaning, and I agree with his approach. Perhaps I will also use the light elemental magic artifacts to benefit Hogwarts."

"But times have changed, and wizards play a different role in the world. I must obtain the Light Element Relic."

Moriarty frankly expressed his need and desire for the sacred objects of the Light Element.

Dumbledore put on his glasses, his gaze becoming more serious, a sense of responsibility rising within him, even though this feeling was already evident in him.

"I don't want you to obtain the Light Element Relic on the condition that you destroy Hogwarts."

"Believe me, I would never do such a thing, even if you killed me." Moriarty shrugged.

"Professor, you must be thinking the same thing as me: the Light Relic has become one with Hogwarts! Right!"

Lilith wasn't surprised by Moriarty's words; they explained Gryffindor's confidence and why the Light couldn't find any Light Element artifacts.

"It's not that light can't be found, but rather that even if you find it, you can't take it away." Moriarty revealed a cunning smile: "Light can't possibly take the entire Hogwarts with it!"

Dumbledore nodded and said, "I agree with your idea. You could even say that Hogwarts Castle is a sacred relic of light elemental magic!"

Moriarty and Dumbledore exchanged a glance, a rare instance where they reached an agreement on this matter.

"But..." Lilith suddenly spoke up, looking at Moriarty and then at Dumbledore: "According to Moriarty's previous deduction, the Light Element Relics possess the ability to travel through time."

"The sacred relic that Light possesses can travel to the past..."

Moriarty nodded. The idea that light could travel to the past was initially his conjecture, but it had now been confirmed by Gryffindor.

Light traveled to the past, took the Slytherin staff, the golden spoon, and even dug up Ravenclaw's corpse and removed its head!

"That despicable scoundrel!"

Thinking of this, the three people in the principal's office, as well as the portraits of all the principals, were filled with righteous indignation.

"Sometimes an overly brilliant mind isn't a good thing," Moriarty said, rubbing his forehead.

"I've recreated the scene; the imagery is so vivid!"

Moriarty could almost see how Light would travel back in time, steal the Slytherin staff, and then frame his Squid ancestor, Salazar's Squid son.

Salazar may have seen through the light's trick, but he couldn't stop it, so he took the opportunity to send his Squib son away, which led to the beginning of everything.

Moriarty could also see how light tricked the golden spoon away—Helga Hechpatch, such a kind woman, yet she was deceived by light!

What angered and pained Moriarty the most was that he dug up Rowena Gryffindor's body!

Moriarty closed his eyes and shook his head. When he opened them again, they were filled with crimson blood: "Light and Hogwarts have a blood feud. Don't forget, Light was once a student of Hogwarts!"

"This is the most important clue, and also Light's greatest weakness!"

"Yes!" Dumbledore practically jumped up from his chair. "I can look up every student's name in the Book of Admission."

"I still want to remind you," Lilith advised again, "if another Light Element Relic has the ability to travel to the future, and your deduction is that the other Light Element Relic is fused into Hogwarts."

"Could it be that Hogwarts has the ability to travel to the future?"

"Or are we in the future right now? Obviously not!"

After Lilith finished speaking, she stroked Moriarty's head with both hands and pulled him into her arms.

"You all value Hogwarts too much; after all, it's your home, and I understand that. But couldn't Guang have considered that?"

"Perhaps there's another reason why Light hasn't been able to find the Light Element Relic."

Moriarty rested his head on Lilith's chest, breathing in her pleasant scent, and the bloody images in his mind gradually faded away.

Dumbledore's face suddenly turned innocent, as if he had eaten his fill. He looked around and saw that there was no one beside him.

"Waaaa, Grindelwald, I miss you so much!!!"
