The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 671 What is Ravenclaw's wisdom?

Moriarty and Violet had a wonderful weekend. The vampire princess was simply wonderful at night, always giving Moriarty an extraordinary experience.

On Monday morning, Moriarty, as usual, got up very early. He left the castle, went to the Black Lake, and lowered his eyes.

Deep within the Black Lake, the shadow of a magic tower looms faintly.

It would be a lie to say Moriarty wasn't anxious, but without opening the Ravenclaw Tower, all his anxiety was futile.

The sea creatures were no longer surprised by the enormous magic tower; only a few small fish swam around the tower's levels.

A tuna about the length of an arm slithered into the skull-shaped keyhole of the Ravenclaw Tower, only to be flung away by an invisible force.

Upon witnessing this scene, Moriarty felt as if a bolt of lightning had suddenly struck his mind, and he shuddered.

"Are those traces of magic?"

"I get it! Ravenclaw's tower repels fake keys! This must be a spell Ravenclaw has cast. But it's a fish, not a key. How can Ravenclaw determine that what's in the keyhole isn't a key?"

"It looks a bit like the bronze door knocker in the Ravenclaw common room."

"One is that you can't enter the lounge if you answer the question incorrectly, and the other is that you can't open the tower floor if you don't have the right key."

"This technique is reminiscent of Ravenclaw's style."

Moriarty discovered that there might be another, previously unthinkable way to access the Ravenclaw Tower!

He ran wildly toward the castle!

The young wizard on the road gaped in surprise. Was that Moriarty, the senior who ran faster than a rabbit?

Why is he rushing off to do this?

Did Lilith have a baby?

Of course, this is a joke. Everyone has witnessed Lilith's pursuit of Moriarty, and now that the two are together, it is what everyone hoped for.

Moriarty rushed into the Ravenclaw common room and ran into Penelope and Cho Chang, who had just come out.

"Good morning!" Penelope said sleepily, but after recognizing her boyfriend, she opened her eyes wide and asked, "Are you here to pick us up for breakfast?"

"Not now, I'll find the bronze door knocker." Moriarty left the two women behind and rushed to the door knocker, his eyes shining like stars.

"Merlin, I've never seen Moriarty so excited!" Penelope calmed down a bit, covered her mouth with her small hand, and stood behind Moriarty with Zhang Qiu.

"He must be doing something incredibly important," Zhang Qiu whispered.

"Door knocker, I have a question for you."

Moriarty gently knocked on the door. "What's Rowena Ravenclaw's most frequently used key?"

"The door knocker only provides questions, it doesn't answer them." The eagle-shaped door knocker's answer was full of formula.

"Alright," Moriarty seemed to have never expected an answer anyway. He smiled slightly. "If I were to hide a secret behind many doors, I would definitely hide the key so no one else could find it. What do you think? Door knocker."

"This is not a good idea. You know, there will always be clever people who can find the key. Exceptional wisdom is the greatest wealth of mankind. You should use your wisdom to hide your secret," the door knocker said seriously.

"Exactly right!" Moriarty snapped his fingers. "That's the answer I've been looking for."

"Ravenclaw must think so too! If you can hide secrets with wisdom, then you can also find secrets with wisdom."

Moriarty left happily, while Penelope and Zhang Qiu looked at each other with their beautiful eyes.

"Did he leave us behind and go alone?"

"He didn't even glance at us!"

"He's working on something important, so let's let it go this time."

"Next time I'll definitely squeeze him dry, hmph!"

The two women pouted as they went to eat breakfast, seemingly forgetting that it was always they who were the ones who got completely drained.

Moriarty had already run to the principal's office door.

"Meat-flavored soft candy!"

He blurted out Dumbledore's bizarre command, and the office stone door opened automatically, revealing Dumbledore's figure.

"What brings you to my office?" Dumbledore, dressed in purple pajamas and beaming with health, looked every bit the old man on his birthday. "Are you usually in the Great Hall at this time?"

"Yes, but I'm just too excited today," Moriarty said, sitting in the chair opposite the headmaster, unceremoniously grabbing a gummy bear from the desk and popping it into his mouth. "I've found a way to open the Ravenclaw Tower!"

Dumbledore straightened up abruptly, while Moriarty chewed on a gummy candy and said, "The Gryffindor sword is in Lilith's hands. Open the Ravenclaw Tower, then open the Gryffindor Tower, and we'll be one step ahead of the Immortal Organization and be the first to retrieve what's hidden in the magic tower."

"Based on your analysis, that thing is very likely a sacred artifact of the Light element." Dumbledore crossed his arms. "If you need any help, just say the word."

"I think Ravenclaw, when designing the tower, not only included a skull key but also a spare. Clever!"

Moriarty shared his thoughts, which were based on the facts he had seen that morning and his conversation with the bronze door knocker.

Dumbledore agreed with Moriarty's idea, but frowned slightly: "Wisdom is the spare key, but wisdom is invisible, while the keyhole is visible."

"Remember the shape of the keyhole?" Moriarty said. "It's a head!"

"At first I thought the skull was Ravenclaw's own skull, but now I think it is very likely that it contains the meaning of wisdom."

"Whether or not Ravenclaw truly intended their heads to be the key to unlocking the tower, Ravenclaw's wisdom is certainly a backup key."

Moriarty was so certain because if the key to opening the tower was a head, the method was too crude. How stupid would a wizard like Ravenclaw have to be to come up with such a method?

However, what Moriarty didn't know was that in some of the scenes Gamp recalled of his meeting with Hikari, Hikari was indeed holding a skull!

"I've come to the professor to ask him to rally everyone and help me figure out what exactly Ravenclaw's wisdom is."

Moriarty's expression was serious. He couldn't define Ravenclaw's wisdom, or whether Ravenclaw's wisdom was in Hogwarts, among the young wizards.

"No problem, I'll go tell your classmates right now. I'm sure they'll be happy to help you. Also, I have some thoughts on Ravenclaw's wisdom. Would you like to hear them?" Dumbledore stood up, a smile in his eyes.

"Of course," Moriarty nodded.

"I will tell you, along with the other professors." Dumbledore walked toward the door. "Let's go together."

Moriarty and Dumbledore arrived at the Great Hall together. Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape were seated at the professors' table, and students from the four houses were seated at the four long tables.

When they saw Moriarty and Dumbledore walking together, they knew something big had happened.

Dumbledore delivered his prepared speech: "Please share with Hogwarts what you consider wisdom—it may be a thing, a sudden idea, a flash of inspiration, if you have it, or have heard of it."

"Write it on parchment, Mr. Moriarty, in the second classroom on the third floor, and collect what you consider wisdom."

"Each participating student will add 20 points to their respective house and receive a joint recommendation from me and Mr. Moriarty—applicable to both the wizarding world and the Muggle world."

Moriarty nodded in satisfaction. Since it concerned the Ravenclaw Tower, he hadn't told the students the truth. Instead, he had used a broad approach, perhaps the true wisdom of Ravenclaw lay among them.
