Chapter 667 Class

On Thursday afternoon, Moriarty and Jericho swaggered out of their dormitory, surrounded by a bunch of snakes.

The Hogwarts staircase automatically arranged itself into a path, appearing at Moriarty's feet and leading to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom on the fourth floor.

Riding the escalator is a perk of being with Moriarty.

For six consecutive years, the little snakes have been enjoying themselves immensely.

"Family members, the guessing game for this year's Defense Against the Dark Arts professor has begun!"

"Option 1: No professor! Defense Against the Dark Arts class continues with self-study!"

"Choice Two: Professor Snape! His wish has finally come true!"

"Candidate Three: Remus Lupin! So what if he's a werewolf? He's more than qualified to be a professor!"

As soon as they entered the Great Hall, Moriarty and his party heard Draco Malfoy, Dean Thomas, and Simon Finnigan shouting and waving excitedly at the young wizards around them.

"I can tell they're imitating the Weasley twins' antics. Why do they look like newspaper vendors?"

Moriarty chuckled and looked at Jericho: "You've been involved in all of this. You know, besides the Weasley twins and Lionheart, you're the one who can cause the most trouble at Hogwarts."

Jericho chuckled. "They're all gone. Life at Hogwarts is a bit bland and boring. I did give Draco and the others some advice, wasn't it all to add some fun for everyone?"

"Ron Weasley was among them?"

Moriarty glanced down and spotted a red-haired kid among Draco's group.

Now, only a red head remains in the castle, making it particularly eye-catching.

Ron looked listless, his hair was a mess, and he followed behind his roommate like the worst of the bunch.

"Holding a small contest can make a little money," Jericho explained. "Draco's dorm is sponsoring this event, and Ron is in it, of course."

"Just don't mess it up." Moriarty remained noncommittal. They had already reached the fourth floor and met up with the Gryffindor sixth-year students who had come to class.

"Mr. Moriarty!"

"Good afternoon, Mr. Moriarty."

Everyone greeted each other and walked into the classroom together.

Lilith and the girls had been waiting for a long time. When they saw Moriarty, Lilith rested her chin on one hand and stretched out the other, "Here~"

Moriarty sat down next to Lilith, Jericho sat down next to Moriarty, and the others also sat down, taking out their magic books or notebooks to study.

Now in sixth grade, everyone is busy preparing for the NEWT test.

The changing world order has ultimately affected this ancient magic school, and even the most powerful wizards must adapt to the times.

Many wizarding families have received rumors from the Ministry of Magic that starting this year, both the OWL and NEWT exams will include one or more new subjects—subjects related to Muggles.

"You look a little sleepy," Moriarty whispered in Lilith's ear.

"Oh, I had a nightmare," Lilith said, cradling her neck with her hands and closing her eyes to recall, "You and I were swallowed by a snake, oh no, what kind of snake was it!"

"We're being swallowed by snakes?" Moriarty was taken aback. Snakes had always been his good companions. Lilith had been known as the Snake Queen ever since she mastered the art of human transformation.

I can't believe I had such a nightmare.

It’s weird.

Just then, the classroom door was gently pushed open!

"Who is it?"

The little wizards stared wide-eyed.

Only the professor entered the classroom before class started.

Who could it be? Snape or Lupin?

It's someone else!

Under the watchful eyes of dozens of people, a ghost drifted into the classroom.

"Professor Binns?"

The only ghost professor at Hogwarts, who teaches the history of magic.

Therefore, upon seeing the ghost, many people mistook it for Professor Binns.

But clearly, it isn't!

"No, no, no, you've made a mistake."

The ghost faced the students, a smile appearing on his handsome face: "I am Professor Tom, your new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor."

An uproar erupted below; everyone now knew Voldemort's true identity was Tom Riddle.

Jericho said to Moriarty in surprise, "Tom must have informed you beforehand that he was going to be a professor, but he actually managed to get Professor Dumbledore's permission! I never expected that."

"Hmm, who can argue with that?" Moriarty narrowed his eyes. Old Deng's decision was both unexpected and reasonable.

Lilith stroked her smooth, delicate chin, staring at Tom without saying a word, lost in thought.

"Please be quiet," Tom said calmly. "Don't waste your precious study time on some historical issues. This isn't a history class."

Some people chuckled, but Tom calmly said, "Trust me, I'll help you pass the NEWT exam."

"The only wizard in Hogwarts history to have achieved perfect scores in all NEWT exams stands before you."

"Perhaps some of you can surpass this record," Tom said, smiling at Moriarty. "But for now, do as I say, and the chances of getting ashore will greatly increase."

"Alright, wizards, please take out your wands."

"The course begins in the first week and continues until the seventh week, a month-long course on silent mantras."

Everyone did as instructed, including Moriarty, Lilith, Jericho, and many other students who had also learned the Silent Charm. This was because Moriarty had taught the charm at a Hogwarts Army gathering the previous semester.

Now they all want to hear how Tom teaches the Silent Spell.

"Bang!"

The classroom door opened again.

This time, they were roughly pushed away from the outside.

Tom raised an eyebrow and looked towards the door, but the students exclaimed in surprise, "Professor Snape!"

Snape, still in his signature black robe, strode into the classroom like a giant black bat, his eyes fixed on Tom: "Dumbledore sent me to audit the class."

After saying that, he walked to the back of the classroom.

Perhaps Dumbledore was worried about Tom's teaching? Perhaps Snape was worried? Or perhaps both, and Snape came to sit in on the lesson.

As Moriarty pondered, the others gradually came to their senses. Tom shrugged and muttered, "I think I'll get recognition, in a different way."

Then, gaining confidence, he shouted:

"Mastering silent spells requires exceptional concentration and willpower."

"Besides that, the wand is also a factor that affects mastery. Please take a look at your wands—"

The students all bent down to examine the wands.

"—Many wands made of dogwood refuse to cast silent spells, while pine wands are extremely sensitive to them. Willow wands are suitable for casting advanced silent spells. Notably, of all wand woods, alder wands are the most suitable for casting silent spells!"

After saying this, Tom smiled. This was all based on his experience, because he had handled a lot of wands.

However, the scene of high school students frantically checking their wands, as imagined, did not occur.

Tom asked curiously, "Don't any of you have dogwood wands?"

"Yes, mine is it." A little lion raised his wand and waved it.

"Mine too."

"And me too."

"Hmm?" Tom glanced around. There weren't many people, but there were still quite a few. Why weren't you all in a hurry?

You're in a hurry, so I can tell you how to solve this problem!

Here's a little trick to make the dogwood wand accept silent spells.

How can I say anything when you all seem so unconcerned?

Tom then asked the Gryffindor student who had first raised his wand, "If your wand needs adjusting, please feel free to ask me. As the new professor, it is my duty to do my best to speed up your mastery of the Silent Charm."

"Oh, well," the little lion scratched his head, "Thank you for your kindness, Professor Tom, but my wand has already been dealt with by Mr. Moriarty. It's become very obedient and supportive of my use of silent spells."

"What?"

"Is yours the same?" Tom wasn't stupid; he quickly asked the others.

The reply he received made Tom's vision go black, and he couldn't help but look at Moriarty with some resentment.

Uncle, you've taken my job away! What am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to survive at Hogwarts?!

The Gorgon inside gasped for breath, sensing that her emotions were being interfered with by the real Tom, who was trapped deep within her soul.
