Chapter 663 Dealing with the Problem Students at Hogwarts
Three days later.
On the Black Lake outside Hogwarts, a large black ship floats silently on the surface.
Grindelwald, dressed in a black robe, stood at the bow of the ship, waving to Dumbledore on the shore.
"That's enough for our farewell, Albus."
Dumbledore nodded, his eyes filled with reluctance, his tall frame seeming to hunch slightly. "Take care..."
Grindelwald turned towards the shore and called to the Durmstrang students who were saying goodbye to their companions, "Get on the boat, let's go home!"
A floating bridge rose from the lake, and farewells mingled with the sound of hurried footsteps. Groups of young wizards boarded the large ship, which sank to the bottom of the water and disappeared into the distance in the blink of an eye.
Durmstrang is gone.
"It's our turn, Beauxbatons!" Mrs. Maxime strode toward the left side of the lake, where a huge carriage stood, surrounded by Beauxbatons' students.
"I've already tied Sir Lancelot to the back of the carriage. After all, she's the official headmistress of your school, and she should be handed over to you to deal with," Hagrid said in a deep voice as he walked out from behind the carriage.
"Honestly, Hagrid, if it weren't for the French Ministry of Magic needing to re-elect its minister, I really wouldn't want to go back," Madame Maxime said reluctantly.
"Waaah, I'll come see you," Hagrid said, choking back tears.
It seems that the students at Beauxbatons mostly said goodbye to their friends of the opposite sex, following the example set by their superiors.
Moriarty, along with Lilith, Penelope, and the other girls, bid farewell to the Fleur sisters.
After a reluctant farewell, the students and teachers of Beauxbatons boarded the carriage and flew to the other side with it.
Two days later, Principal Dawn returned to Ifamoni.
A day later, the elite Aurors from various countries returned to their respective countries.
The Battle of London has now turned a new page, ushering in a brand new chapter.
"Ah, although I don't want to talk about this, this day has come."
In the Three Broomsticks pub, Dumbledore and the four Deans sat at a table, each with a Butterbeer in front of them.
However, none of them were in the mood for drinking. Professor Snape's face was as dark as ever, even darker than before.
Professor McGonagall remained as serious as ever, but her face showed a hint of confusion.
Professor Flitwick stood on the stool, his face flushed, looking very angry.
Professor Sprout was the most composed, though his eyes held a hint of worry.
Professor Dumbledore's aged face was full of bitterness. He rubbed his temples and said, "We must make a decision about their behavior over this period of time."
"Ralph, Pendragon the Lionheart, Harry Potter, and the Weasleys..."
"And Keith, Cedric Diggory, and those lower-year students in Slytherin..."
"Their performance has been disappointing, and Hogwarts must make a decision."
Dumbledore clenched his fist. The students mentioned above were more or less connected to Gump. How could he, as the headmaster, not be heartbroken when Hogwarts students were having problems?
The students mentioned above can be divided into two categories.
One approach involves directly targeting Moriarty, Dumbledore, and others, attacking and hindering them.
One group consists of students who, under duress from Gamp's faction, had no choice but to submit to him.
Clearly, the first group of students Dumbledore mentioned belonged to the first type, and the second group of students he mentioned belonged to the second type.
"Lalpo has nothing to say, fire him!"
Professor Snape stated unequivocally that Helbo was a notorious dark wizard in wizarding history, and Slytherin could no longer bear the stigma of being a "dark wizard concentration camp."
"agree."
"agree."
"Larpo hasn't returned to school yet, and everyone knows why. In fact, Hogwarts has already expelled him, and all that's missing is a formal statement. We'll just fill that gap."
The other three deans also expressed their agreement.
"I've always believed they weren't all that bad; the worst among the students is Ralph." Dumbledore also made the decision: "At the same time we issue the expulsion notice, the Ministry of Magic and the International Wizarding Association will issue arrest warrants, and the Muggle government should also issue arrest warrants."
Upon hearing this, the four deans' expressions changed slightly. The kind-hearted Professor Sprout said, "Will our actions affect the decisions of the magical and Muggle governments?"
"That's right," Dumbledore nodded slowly, meeting the gazes of the four pairs of eyes. "Both the magical government and the Muggle government agree that it is inappropriate for the authorities to intervene in the affairs of these students, and have transferred the authority to the school administration. This is what is troubling me."
Dumbledore adjusted his glasses. Originally, these students were supposed to go to the Ministry of Magic for trial, and the professor only needed to attend and testify. But now the power had been handed over to Hogwarts.
Clearly, neither the principal nor the four deans are wizards who know how to use their power.
"Cedric's father died at the Leaky Cauldron, and he never went to school. His classmates and friends often ask me about him, and I have no answer," Professor Sprout said, shaking his head.
"My investigation report here also proves that Cedric did not show any arrogance or domineering behavior during the time when the Gump faction was in power. On the contrary, he helped those in need." Dumbledore produced a stack of parchment out of thin air, which was filled with comments from young wizards.
No need to ask, it's for Cedric.
"And another thing, Keith and the little wizard who sided with Gamp's faction are also considered to be similar. They were both forced to submit to Lalpo because their parents or ancestors were related to Gamp."
Dumbledore looked at the deans: "Could we consider the appropriate punishment for them?"
The four heads of the house nodded, and finally, the strictest of them all, Professor McGonagall, said, "I suggest that they be punished with labor. In addition to keeping up with the curriculum, they should have to do labor every day. Let's set the location at Hogwarts and Hogsmeade Village."
Labor is a Hogwarts tradition for disciplining students. Previously, it was always done off-campus, but now that it has been extended to off-campus areas, it's safe to assume that other students' punishments won't be any lighter.
Because of Cedric's group of students, their "crimes" were arguably the least serious.
Having decided on the most severe punishment and given the lightest, Dumbledore took a sip of beer. Now it was the turn of the students who were giving him a headache.
"Lionheart, Harry, Percy, Fred, George, Ginny."
"There are six of them..."
Dumbledore and the other four shook their heads.
Lionheart, this immature teenager, is clearly not a bad person at heart, but his stance is different from others, which destined him to be a loyal follower of Gamp.
Lionheart only listens to two people: his ancestor King Arthur and Gump.
"Even though Lionheart has helped Moriarty by lending him the sword in the lake, I don't think he'll give up on Gump," Professor Snape said.
"Why did Harry become like this? Gump exploited Harry's inner imbalance. We are all responsible for Harry's current state," Professor McGonagall said with great heartache.
"The Weasley siblings were tricked by Gump. That magic was definitely a rare blood curse, a curse in their bloodline that started from their ancestors! These kids had no chance of resisting it, and Arthur and Molly were also affected. The Weasley family are all victims!"
Professor Flitwick said angrily that he had been furious ever since he saw the Weasleys turn into red dragons and stop Moriarty, and he couldn't stand anyone using bloodlines as a tool.
"Speaking of the Weasley family, I'm truly surprised and curious. Why was Ron controlled?" Dumbledore looked around, seemingly trying to find an answer.
"Perhaps he was Voldemort's Horcrux," Professor Snape speculated.
"Whatever the reason, we must make a decision." Dumbledore seemed determined to deal with them.
The students' deeds have spread throughout the wizarding world, and even the heads of Muggle governments know about them.
Now that Ganpu and Guang are universally condemned, their accomplices cannot escape punishment.
"First of all, they can no longer stay at Hogwarts."
"Then let me think... Lionheart, should we hand him over to the International Wizarding Association to be imprisoned? I will suggest to Lockhart that the location of his imprisonment be constantly changed, starting from Europe and all the way to North America."
"Harry... hand him over to Castorbash School. Professor Polly should be willing to oversee Harry's rehabilitation for us."
"Finally, the Weasleys. They suffered an undeserved misfortune, but at least they got some media exposure. Let them leave Hogwarts for now."
"Going to Denmark. Coming back after a while."
"I have a lot on my mind," Dumbledore said, but his tone was firm.
(I've been out of town recently, so I'm updating as usual today. I'll catch up on the missed chapters when I have more time. I owe four chapters in total.)
