The mastermind behind Hogwarts
Chapter 643 Widow and Orphan Seeking Shelter
Chapter 643 Widow and Orphan Seeking Shelter
"Pansy? Mrs. Parkinson?"
"Daphne? Mrs. Greengrass?"
Lilith slowly walked to the magic carriage and looked at the four people who stepped out of the first two carriages. They were her familiar classmates and their mothers. Her red lips parted slightly in surprise.
"Senior Lilith..." Pansy and Daphne exchanged a glance, a sheepish smile appearing on their faces.
"Mr. Moriarty."
Mrs. Parkinson and Mrs. Greengrass approached Moriarty.
After all, they were mature witches, and once they made a decision, they had no regrets. At this moment, they solemnly bowed.
"The battle at the Leaky Cauldron caused immense damage to our families, and we know it was all our own fault."
"But our master has already paid the price for his mistakes. We hope that Mr. Moriarty, for the sake of being pure-blooded and Slytherin, will preserve a trace of our family bloodline."
"We...we sisters...widowed mother and orphans, are willing to offer all our possessions to serve you, sir, for the rest of our lives..."
By the end, both ladies were blushing with embarrassment. Daphne and Pansy leaned against their respective mothers and bowed deeply together.
From the magical carriages behind, one after another, beautiful ladies emerged, each accompanied by a delicately sculpted little witch. They stood in neat rows, their faces etched with sorrow despite their exquisite makeup. They bowed to Moriarty in the crowd, looking utterly pitiful.
Seeing this, Lilith couldn't help but laugh. She looked at Moriarty, and at that moment she understood what this so-called "surprise" was all about.
The Gamp faction was doomed, and all the pure-blooded family heads who were loyal to Gamp died in the battle at the Breaking Cauldron Bar.
In these pure-blood families, only "widows and orphans" remain, as Mrs. Parkinson described.
They were terrified and bewildered, but their best friend Narcissa transformed into Mrs. Slytherin, and so they came to Slytherin Castle seeking shelter and refuge.
Moreover, judging from their attitude, they are probably prepared to give up everything they have.
Narcissa certainly knew about this, but she didn't tell Moriarty beforehand, perhaps because she didn't know how to say it.
The Lilith of the past would only get jealous, but now she's analyzing things from the perspective of a pure-blood family:
Moriarty would certainly not lose out by taking in these "widows and orphans." More importantly, a large number of pure-blood families would become Moriarty's heads, which would only benefit the harmonious coexistence of Muggles and wizards in the future.
As for whether Moriarty will agree?
Then it all depends on Moriarty's kidneys.
Lilith grinned mischievously and leaned closer to Moriarty, quickly pinching the soft flesh on his waist.
"Don't cause trouble." Moriarty slapped Lilith's little hand away, looking at the large group of beautiful women in front of him, feeling quite embarrassed.
"If you want to look good, wear mourning clothes" is indeed true, whether in the East or the West.
Before me stood more than a dozen beautiful women of varying ages, all dressed in white wizard robes, each incredibly charming. It would be a lie to say I wasn't captivated.
But Moriarty wasn't really interested in accepting it.
It's really useless!
Just as Moriarty was hesitating, the castle gates opened and Narcissa came out, followed by the house-elf Luke.
"Madam, what's wrong?" Moriarty asked, looking surprised.
Because Narcissa looked as if she had just come out of the kitchen, dressed in the clothes of a housewife, wearing an apron, her figure appeared even more curvaceous.
"I invited several ladies to my home," Narcissa said with a smile, defusing the awkward situation for Moriarty, Mrs. Greengrass, and the others.
"Whatever it is, let's eat first, we'll talk after we eat," Narcissa said, pulling Mrs. Parkinson by the left hand and Mrs. Greengrass by the right, as they walked into the castle. "I'm roasting a suckling pig and trying out Muggle appliances, you two come and help me!"
Narcissa's words eased the awkwardness of the "widow and her daughter," and everyone looked at Narcissa with grateful eyes.
Moriarty nodded slightly to Luke, who immediately understood and helped drive the magic carriage into the back of the castle.
Whether we accept it or not, guests are guests, and we cannot fail to observe the Slytherin family's etiquette.
Moriarty was also curious about what had happened in their family that led them to make such a decision.
Narcissa greeted the ladies, "Come in, everyone. Don't worry about the future, just stay here for today. Moriarty is the only man in the family, so it's no problem, it's very convenient."
The ladies blushed. What did she mean by "Moriarty is the only man in the house"? Was Narcissa implying something? And what about that "very convenient..."?
It's impossible not to let one's imagination run wild...
They knew that Narcissa had changed; she was no longer the Lady Malfoy she once was.
The little witches following behind them didn't think too much about it. Narcissa's kind smile dispelled most of their anxiety and distress, and they were filled with anticipation for Slytherin Castle, the legendary castle.
Moriarty watched them enter the castle one by one, thinking to himself that Narcissa was becoming more and more like a lady, and her ability to manage household affairs was first-rate. However, the adventure to Wells would have to wait until next time.
"Let's go home, we can't go to Wells today." Moriarty pulled Lilith toward the castle.
"You're going to be busy tonight," Lilith said meaningfully.
"Nonsense! Do you think you'd let me go if they didn't come?"
"whee(*/\*)"
In the evening, Slytherin Castle was exceptionally lively.
Penelope and her friends happily welcomed Pansy, Daphne, and other female students, and had a great time.
Meanwhile, Narcissa, along with her close friends and the ladies, were bustling about in the kitchen, making a lively scene with their clinking and chattering.
While admiring the diligence of the ladies, Moriarty thought to himself, "Perhaps keeping them as cooks wouldn't be a bad idea?"
I don't know how good the craftsmanship is, but at least it looks pleasing to the eye.
When dinner was served, the abundant variety of dishes and international specialties satisfied everyone's taste buds and palates.
Even the usually picky Miss Lilith gave a thumbs up, which was quite rare.
Seeing this, Luke looked sullen and said to the fairy Ingo, "Do you think I'm going to lose my job?"
Ingo remained silent with a cold expression and continued eating its portion. Now it was somewhat grateful that old Salazar had captured it back then; otherwise, it might be the fairy king imprisoned in the dungeon now!
At the dinner table, Moriarty looked at the beautiful young women, both adults and children, and thought of the Ischl and Violet sisters.
Now, his large family is only missing these three women to complete it.
Violet and Victoria, the vampire sisters, are alright; they only suffered minor injuries and can be brought back once they recover.
Only Ishcher…
Moriarty shook his head. Seeing this, Narcissa, adhering to the principle of "making others uncomfortable to ease her man's emotions," looked at her former best friend, Mrs. Greengrass.
"Linda, what exactly happened? The Greengrass family is one of the 28 Holy Houses, after all. Doesn't the Ministry of Magic even give them this much face?"
By this time, almost everyone had finished eating, and everyone looked up.
Astoria was the most puzzling among them. She had repeatedly passed on information to Moriarty—she was the one who helped eliminate the thousands of basilisks in Larpo—and was accepted by Moriarty early on as his girlfriend.
The Ministry of Magic must know this, so why would they pressure the Greengrass family?
Astoria looked at her mother and sister, completely bewildered.
Linda Greengrass sighed deeply, her voice filled with sorrow, "After the patriarch's accident, the Ministry of Magic's attitude was relatively mild. However, with the exposure of the Battle of London, the Greengrass family's reputation has been completely ruined..."
Mrs. Parkinson, Mrs. Nott, and several other pure-blood ladies echoed her sentiments.
Every king, upon ascending the throne, would purge all the ministers around him.
The conflict between the Gamp and Moriarty factions manifested in every aspect. After Gamp escaped, apart from old Pilivik whose whereabouts were unknown, all the wizards in Gamp's faction were purged.
Perhaps the Ministry of Magic will spare the pure-blood families who have sided with Gump out of consideration for past relationships, but there is no place for them in the wizarding world anymore.
No one wanted to associate with their family, and their decline was inevitable.
This decline is even more severe than the fall of Voldemort. This time, they are facing the hostility of wizards all over the world!
Their family wasn't purged by the Ministry of Magic, nor by Moriarty, but by wizards all over the world! Utterly purged!
