The mastermind behind Hogwarts
Chapter 603 Ron: What Makes Him a Warrior?
Three days after Christmas, Ron Weasley was discharged from St. Mungo's and returned to Hogwarts.
The person in charge of rescuing Ron was Percy Weasley, Ron's third brother, who had recently made quite a splash.
Although the mutual aid fund and student insurance were suspended by the Ministry of Magic, Percy was still able to receive his salary and subsidies under the Justice Law.
So Ron stayed home for a while before Percy sent him to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Arts, and now Ron is back.
As Percy walked up the stairs to the Gryffindor common room, he looked at Ron, who was pale-faced, and sighed softly.
"Listen, Ron. You're 12 now, you can't be as foolish as you were last year."
Ron lowered his head, his face pale—not from shame, but from his lingering illness.
In fact, St. Mungo's advice was that it was best not to discharge Ron, as he was still under observation.
Although Moriarty lifted the curse on Ron from the Egyptian princess, Ron was still mentally fragile due to the long-term influence of Voldemort's lingering spirit.
According to Muggle medical terminology, Ron's brain nerves were damaged.
Furthermore, St. Mungo's cannot rule out the possibility that Ron might commit lewd acts again in the future.
According to Muggles, Ron's psychology was enough to deduct a lot of points from the entire United States.
Percy looked at Ron with concern, who looked up with a clear yet foolish gaze.
"Things are different now," Percy rubbed his temples and said earnestly, "There's fighting everywhere. Observe more and talk less, stay with your classmates, and go out less. Do you understand what I mean?"
Ron nodded, and Percy said to the fat lady in the portrait, "Your Majesty."
"Password correct," the fat lady said curtly. Percy gave Ron a push and walked into the Gryffindor common room.
Ron looked completely bewildered: "Why? When did our common room password become a domineering word like 'King'?!"
"This is the password set by Pendragon the Lionheart, one of Hogwarts' champions." Percy's face was grim. "The current headmaster, Umbridge, is willing to let the champions change the passwords for the four common rooms."
"Merlin..."
Ron stood there, stunned.
The passwords for the four colleges are set by the deans, and no student has ever changed them.
It seems that Hogwarts has really changed!
"Hurry up." Percy gave Ron another push, and Ron stumbled and staggered inside, almost blinded by the golden light that rushed towards him.
"Is this still our common lounge?"
Ron's jaw dropped; he had never seen such an abundance of gold and luxury goods!
The floors, walls, sofas, chairs, beds, wardrobes, fireplaces, and decorations were all made of gold.
For a fleeting moment, Ron thought he had entered Gringotts' underground vault.
No, it shines even brighter than Gringotts’ vault; it’s practically a house of gold!
"Lionheart arranged it; he practically wanted to bring King Arthur's treasury here," Percy said with a strange undertone. "Of course, our common room can't hold it all."
As he spoke, he glanced at the golden knight's armor in the corner, smiled, and left.
Ron was left standing there, bewildered.
It took Ron a long time to come to his senses, and he walked back to his dormitory, looking back every few steps.
All three roommates were present.
Draco Malfoy, Dean Thomas, and Simon Finigan.
Ron was surprised to see Malfoy, whom he hated, chatting and laughing with Dean and Seamus.
"Hey Ron, thanks to Merlin, you're back." Seamus greeted Ron warmly.
Dean said something even more unexpected to Ron: "Well... Ron, everyone knows about what you did in the past—that wasn't your intention, and I apologize for what I said to you before."
Ron was both surprised and delighted: "You've forgiven me?"
Seamus jumped off the bed: "Your biggest mistake was not treating us like brothers." He patted Ron on the shoulder: "If you like a girl, go after her. We'll help you."
Dean and Draco both smiled kindly.
Ron was so excited he almost cried. His biggest fear was that his classmates would mock him and isolate him because of his past mistakes.
But now there isn't one!
What happened that made them change their attitude towards me?
Ron felt his brain wasn't working properly.
Out of the corner of his eye, following Ron's turn of his head, he saw a glimpse of gold.
Merlin!
Is the dormitory room, inside and out, even the furniture, made of gold?
Ron was utterly shocked.
You should know that Hogwarts dormitories are always four-person rooms, with hundreds of golden dormitories.
This Lionheart is so extravagant!
Ron's goodwill towards Lionheart instantly increased.
"Ron, your taste can't be that bad, can it? Hmm?"
Draco noticed Ron's eyes were glowing with gold and frowned as he asked.
Seamus and Dean quickly pulled Ron to a chair.
"Ron, you may not know this, but the students don't have much affection for the nine warriors in private."
"Why?" Ron asked casually, then realized, "Wait, shouldn't it be three warriors?"
"Your understanding of the Triwizard Tournament is still stuck in the 1960s and 70s," Ximo said sympathetically, shaking his head and saying with great sorrow, "The current headmaster is a pink toad, a black-faced kid, and a female knight."
Dean continued to explain: "Umbridge is a pink toad, that wizard from the Lestrange family always has a face that's even darker than Professor Snape's, so he's called Blackface, and the only female headmistress, Sir Lancelot, is the most normal one."
"These nicknames all came from your two older brothers, didn't you know?"
Ron opened his mouth but said nothing; he knew it must be Fred and George.
"It seems you know nothing at all." A thoughtful glint flashed in Draco's eyes.
“Listen, Ron,” Seamus sighed, “the whole school is in a state of high pressure. Hogwarts has been corrupted by the ruling class.”
"Miss Know-It-All said they plan to transplant the Ministry of Magic's bureaucracy into Hogwarts. They're building a system with the headmaster and champions at the top, a large number of students from privileged backgrounds in the middle, and house-elves and Muggle students at the bottom..."
Simo suddenly forgot his lines and looked at Dean: "What was it again? What did Miss Know-It-All say that mode was called?"
"A pyramid-shaped model of governance."
"Yes, this is it!" Seamus nodded. "If we let them do this, Hogwarts is finished."
"So Ron, you must not be corrupted by Lionheart's sweet talk," Seamus said earnestly.
“It’s not just us,” Dean said seriously. “Most students hate Lionheart—not that much before, but even more after he brought out King Arthur’s treasury.”
"Everyone knows Lionheart is very wealthy, but he doesn't seem to care about his wealth at all. Instead, he's incredibly generous to students who need Galleons, even though he means well..."
Dean suddenly became agitated: "But what right does he have to measure our self-respect with money? He acts like everyone can ask him for Galleons, it's disgusting! The more he acts like that, the more we hate him!"
"I dare say the Slytherin family is far wealthier than the Pendragon family, but compared to Mr. Moriarty, Lionheart is simply unbearable." Seamus shook his head.
"So these things are, in our eyes, weapons that kill self-esteem." Draco glanced at the room full of gold, his eyes full of contempt.
Ron completely ignored his roommate's advice. In his opinion, not taking advantage of a good deal was just as foolish as the stupid ghoul in the house.
Draco, perhaps seeing through Ron's true nature, snorted: "Ron, your two brothers did a good job in this regard. They initially took advantage of Lionheart, but when Pink Toad became headmaster, they distanced themselves."
"They say that the gold on Galleon is not human greed, but Gryffindor's courage to earn their own living."
Draco lay on the bed with his hands behind his head, his face showing a newfound maturity. "It was they who changed my impression of the Weasley family."
Ron paused, then turned to Seamus: "Who is Miss Know-It-All?"
Ron only took in the word "Miss" from his roommate's previous words.
"No way, you don't even know Miss Know-It-All?" Ximo looked incredulous.
"She is our spiritual leader, she is—"
"Don't be so quick to say it," Draco interrupted Seamus. "Perhaps we should let Ron choose for himself whether or not to accept Miss Know-It-All's ideas."
Draco was wary of Ron.
"Alright, then tell me about the other warriors. How many warriors do we at Hogwarts actually have?" Ron continued to ask.
"Three." Seamus held up three fingers: "Lionheart of Gryffindor, Ralph of Slytherin, and Harry Potter."
"Harry Potter!!!"
Ron's eyes were practically bulging out.
"He can be a warrior?"
Others may not know, but Ron knows perfectly well that Harry also became Voldemort's accomplice last year!
Why is Harry a hero while I'm stuck in the hospital?!
Ron felt a surge of jealousy.
"Speaking of Poot," Draco sneered, "Longbottom has made a good friend."
"Regarding Potter," Seamus said, frowning, "some say that Potter was promoted to a champion because he reported Mr. Moriarty and Professor Dumbledore for creating the Hogwarts Army to Umbridge."
"Aha!"
Ron shouted excitedly, "I knew it! This is the real Harry Potter!"
You don't want people to know what you did last year, do you? Harry the Warrior of Hogwarts!
Ron seemed to hear the devil's whispers.
(It's time for Ron to make his stupidest mistake again.)
