Chapter 508 Moriarty and Lilith
Chapter 508 Moriarty and Lilith
Moriarty was awakened by the knocking on the door.
I got out of bed.
Who can blame them when the spell protecting Slytherin Castle is so closely associated with Moriarty?
Moriarty knew immediately who was knocking on the door.
He put on a silver nightgown and then tucked the blankets around Narcissa, Fleur, and Penelope.
The movements were subtle and gentle.
They're exhausted, they should get some sleep.
Then he went outside.
Lilith's late-night visit must mean something important.
"Ingo, please let Miss Lilith in."
"Luke, two cups of coffee. Bosaka flavor."
That's Lilith's favorite coffee flavor.
Moriarty specially invited several baristas from Athens to prepare it.
Ingo led Lily to the reception hall, and Luke brought up coffee as well.
"Have a drink," Moriarty gestured to Lilith, "You don't look too well."
"Thanks."
Lilith sat down, took the coffee, exhaled a breath of cold air, and stared at the smooth floor, lost in thought.
The gleaming floor, as smooth as a lake, reflected Lilith's face.
Moriarty noticed that Lilith seemed to have lost a little weight.
I haven't seen her for a few hours, and she has some dark circles under her eyes.
He was in a state of heightened excitement, but his eyes held a deep sense of worry.
"Have I become ugly?"
Noticing Moriarty looking her over, Lilith tossed her hair and tied her blonde hair into a high ponytail, making her look more capable.
"She's become sexier."
Moriarty picked up his coffee and took a sip.
Lilith is developing really fast.
Lilith wrinkled her nose, sniffed hard, and gave a cryptic smile: "I smell at least three women. You had a wonderful holiday, didn't you?"
"Everything is for the revitalization of the Slytherin family."
Moriarty remained completely calm and composed.
Lilith covered her mouth and chuckled, "The Slytherin family's chances of reproduction increase significantly at night, right?"
"Um..." Moriarty said in a serious tone, "The chances of them reproducing during the day are also very high."
"The act of procreation is something that must be done at all times," Moriarty exclaimed, as if he had discovered a truth.
There's nothing wrong with what I said.
It doesn't seem like there's anything wrong with it.
As Lilith finished her coffee, she gradually relaxed, and her tension eased.
Moriarty looked at her and got to the point: "Visiting me at five in the morning—explain your purpose. You wouldn't have chosen this time unless something serious had happened."
Wait a little while longer.
Lilith, who was well aware of this, naturally wouldn't come forward.
So something extraordinary must have happened.
Lilith's expression gradually darkened.
"Moriarty, how much do you know about the Ministry of Magic?"
"I know you are a learned wizard, but the Ministry of Magic is probably more terrifying than you and I can imagine."
"Or rather, wizards have never truly understood the Ministry of Magic."
Lilith took it from her small bag, which was enchanted with a Threadless Stretch spell.
He took out a large, thick magic book.
It slammed down on the table with a "bang".
"Look, I've brought you this—I call it 'The Glorious Years of the Ministry of Magic,' and you'll be amazed when you read it."
Lilith winked at Moriarty, who stroked his chin. "This book is so thick, you don't expect me to finish it right away, do you? Why don't you tell me what's in it?"
"You must know Euric Gump, the first Minister of Magic, right?" Lilith asked Moriarty.
After receiving confirmation through a glance, Lilith continued, "Okay, so you can also imagine that the wizards surrounding the Gamp family have formed a circle of interests, right?"
Moriarty nodded again.
Lilith took a deep breath: "This circle of interests gradually evolved and can be roughly divided into two categories."
"One type has become the ruling families we know today."
"One type is classified as a pure-blood family, and there are also these people among the 28 Holy Clans."
"You...can you think of something?"
Lilith's eyes were full of anticipation, and with Moriarty's keen senses, he had probably already guessed some of it.
Moriarty ordered another cup of coffee and casually remarked, "The Pillivik family is the current leader of the ruling family. Is your family going to choose sides?"
"clever!"
Lilith immediately smiled.
Then I felt hit again.
I thought about this for a whole week before I came up with it!
"That's easy to figure out."
Moriarty noticed Lilith's curiosity and explained.
"I've met your grandfather. He was a very visionary wizard. If he had been Minister of Magic, people like Fudge would have been ashamed and resigned immediately."
"You mentioned that the Pilivik family is the leader of the powerful families."
"And my Slytherin family can be considered the leader of a pure-blood family."
"You also said that Gamp's circle of interests has split into a ruling family and a group of pure-bloods."
"If I hadn't figured it out, I would have lived in vain."
Moriarty took a sip of coffee.
"Can you taste it? It's Athenian style, not too bitter, but not sweet either."
Lilith, holding the coffee, smiled and said, "I could tell from the first sip. Thank you for the coffee, it's so thoughtful of you."
Although Moriarty remembered what flavor of coffee he liked that moved Lilith.
but.
"You haven't realized how serious this is!"
Lilith emphasized her tone.
"The book records several powerful and influential families."
I'll tell you everything.
"The Peverell family!"
Moriarty's eyes narrowed when he heard the name.
"The Peverell family has descendants including the Gaunt, Potter, and Crouch families."
At this point, Lilith pursed her lips.
After reading the book, she understood why her grandfather was so furious.
I never expected this.
The Crouch family also has such a history and origin.
"The Pilivik family, I'm sure you know them well, I don't need to explain."
"Of course," Moriarty said with a nonchalant smile, "after all, the young lady of the Pilivik family is sitting right next to me."
"Ugh," Lilith rolled her eyes, saying, "You greasy guy." But inside, she was overjoyed.
"You know what, I've already been kicked out of my home. Do you know what I've been through this past week? Homeless, being bullied by everyone..."
Lilith pretended to shed a few tears, then secretly wiped them away.
As he moved closer to Moriarty, the pleasant scent of roses entered Moriarty's nose.
"Don't play the victim. I don't believe your righteous laws don't even have a foothold," Moriarty said with a smile.
"Okay, you're right. I've been staying in Justice Law these past few days, and I made them all withdraw." Lilith bit her lower lip, feeling extremely unwilling.
"You did the right thing. Your grandfather kicking you out wasn't necessarily a bad thing; he was protecting you." Moriarty's eyes sharpened. "You messed with the Crouch family and offended that powerful group."
"I understand, but... I don't understand where the people in the interest circle are? The powerful families are all their own people." Lilith thought about it for a week but still couldn't figure it out.
Moriarty told her, "You only consider the internal workings of the ruling family, not its origins."
Lilith gasped, gasping incredulously, "You mean... Yurik Gamp?"
"But he's already dead!"
"He's been dead for over two hundred years!"
Lilith looked excited, her red lips slightly parted, as she looked at Moriarty, waiting for an explanation.
"Tsk," Moriarty put down his coffee, speaking calmly, "Having witnessed the night view and been resurrected from the dead, don't you understand?"
"Hmm?" Lilith remembered, her eyes lighting up: "Gamp is a member of the Immortal Organization?"
Why not?
"Members of the Immortal Life Organization are all capable of dying and being resurrected. Conversely, those who can be resurrected are wizards, and they most likely belong to the Immortal Life Organization."
Moriarty stood up and paced slowly in the hall.
He and Dumbledore had already begun to suspect Gump.
Now, Lilith's experiences and the information available have turned this suspicion into certainty.
"Tell me more about the families in Gamp's circle of interests," Moriarty said, pointing to the large book.
"Oh." Lilith licked her lips and continued her story.
The book records eight names.
"Pepe."
"Little Red".
"Rancho".
"Xiao Jia".
"Little Ge."
"Tom Pig".
"Little Ao".
That's what Gamp called them.
And more than 30 families.
Besides Peverell and Pilivik, some of Moriarty's well-known families are also on the list.
For example, the Diggory family.
The Auror Office was founded by Edridge Diggory.
And then there's the Foley family.
The Foley family's monopoly on the wizarding book business in England was established by Gump's generation.
However, since old Foley had already sided with Moriarty, this force naturally no longer belonged to Gamp.
Similar situations exist for Mintham, Selwyn, and Flint.
Only a few cats and adult cats remain in the family.
They completely sided with Moriarty.
Gump probably never imagined that his once loyal family would be reduced to a dwindling population by a dark wizard named Voldemort.
Voldemort was definitely a troublemaker.
However, many more families not only prospered but also occupied numerous positions within the Ministry of Magic.
Needless to say, the Pilivik family, whom Gamp called "Little Ja," was clearly aware of old Pilivik's ulterior motives.
Old Pilivik sided with Gamp.
Lilith then brought the book to Moriarty's side.
Bet on both ends.
Then there are Xiao Ge and Xiao Ao.
Moriarty, combining the family details described in the book, also figured it out.
The Greengrass family and the Ollivander family.
Moriarty didn't want to say anything.
The Ollivander family, however, is surprising.
If Gump gives the order, this year's Hogwarts freshmen might not be able to buy a single wand!
Moriarty then realized the truth.
Any wizard who monopolizes a certain industry is a subordinate of Gamp!
"That's terrifying."
After listening to Moriarty's words, Lilith frowned.
"If these people swarm in, our forces will be uprooted very quickly," Lilith said sadly.
Moriarty wasn't too worried about this; he was more concerned about the names "Little Red," "Tom Pig," and "Rancho."
(Have a great weekend!)
