The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 486 The Enemy of Life

Lockhart sat comfortably in his office, listening to his subordinates report on their work, with his legs crossed.

After the subordinate finished reporting, he flattered, "Since our Aurors were equipped with the magical gear you provided, Captain, their combat power has increased by two levels."

Lockhart grinned smugly, and his subordinate continued, "Ordinary Death Eaters are no match for Aurors. Only some of the main Death Eaters are hiding with Bellatrix Lestrange, and that's all thanks to the captain! It won't be long before all the Death Eaters are captured!"

Lockhart neither rejected nor became complacent about the flattery of his subordinates, because he knew that their enemies were never the Death Eaters.

"Bang!"

The office door was suddenly kicked open.

Lockhart knew who it was without even looking; in the entire anti-gang squad, only Leon dared to ram his door.

"Captain!" Leon burst in, "Hogwarts has been invaded by Death Eaters!"

"What?"

"Thump!"

Lockhart was so shocked that he fell off his chair and under the table. Leon chuckled and said, "But the Death Eaters have been captured by our juniors."

"Phew...that scared me to death."

Lockhart, relieved, used the table for support as he got up.

After straightening his clothes and face, he said to Leon, "Let's go to Hogwarts. Tell me what happened!"

Leon explained in detail that the Carol siblings had been brought under control, that Dumbledore was not at the school, and that Professor McGonagall had notified the Ministry of Magic.

Just as Lockhart set off, Moriarty and Dumbledore infiltrated the island where Azkaban was located.

"On my third visit to Azkaban, I want to say thank you, Dementors, for allowing me to hear screams that seem to come from hell every time I come."

Moriarty joked with Dumbledore, whose eyes were filled with nostalgia, "I don't remember how many times I've been to Azkaban. Every time I come here, it reminds me of the heavy price we paid. Dark wizards should be punished."

The two men talked as they walked to the back of Azkaban.

"But this world is always a mixture of light and darkness; where there is white, there is black, and darkness always follows closely behind the land illuminated by light. White wizards and black wizards are like twin brothers, inseparable."

Moriarty expressed his opinion.

In fact, some of his actions are even more terrifying than those of a dark wizard, but he is not a dark wizard.

Breaking free from the definitions of black and white, unbound by rules and worldly conventions, pursuing the magical sky.

This has always been Moriarty's original intention.

"Should we continue forward?"

Dumbledore gazed ahead, and a small island came into view, the dark seawater acting like poison, separating Azkaban from the island.

I think so.

Moriarty stated definitively, "If I were Extis, the best hiding places would be the underground of Azkaban and the small island across the way."

"Professor, you don't want to burrow underground like a pangolin or a mole, do you?"

"Let's go check out the island on the other side."

Moriarty finished speaking with a smile and took the lead in walking forward.

"The blessing of the sea".

Moriarty used a small spell on himself and Dumbledore, and silently walked into the sea without causing a ripple.

Dumbledore assessed his own state and a wondrous expression crossed his face: "I feel my spiritual power resonating with the sea. Is this elemental magic?"

"Well said, Professor, you are very talented," Moriarty said as he walked.

"Perhaps I can go to the Phoenix's Nest, receive the Phoenix's gift, and awaken the power of fire magic..." Dumbledore murmured to himself.

There are fire elemental magical artifacts in the Phoenix's Nest, as Dumbledore himself said. After that, Dumbledore never mentioned the Phoenix's Nest again, so Moriarty didn't ask any further questions.

Since Dumbledore brought it up himself, Moriarty was determined to ask him about it.

"As far as I know, the Dumbledore family has always been favored by the phoenix. For centuries, wizards from the Dumbledore family have been recognized and protected by the phoenix."

Dumbledore suddenly turned his head and stared at Moriarty.

"You're not hard to find out, Professor."

"Moriarty said calmly."

The two people in the water stared at each other.

"Then you must know about my family's affairs." Dumbledore withdrew his gaze and continued walking forward, but his tone was not so calm, and his trembling voice revealed his resentment.

Moriarty understood him; Dumbledore had many regrets in his life.

The biggest regret is the death of my younger sister.

It's not something outsiders can say about, so Moriarty subtly changed the subject and continued talking about the phoenix.

"The phoenixes of the Dumbledore family all come from the Phoenix Nest, right? It must be a place similar to Hogwarts Castle, where outsiders can't even see it, let alone find the phoenix, except for you."

"Your intelligence is truly the most terrifying I have ever seen in my life." Dumbledore forced a wry smile, then said with certainty, "Therefore? The Immortal Organization cannot find the Fire Elemental Relic."

"Want to make a bet?" Moriarty chuckled. "How can you be so sure that besides you and Aberforth, there isn't a third member of the Dumbledore family?"

"You mean Greydance?" Dumbledore was clearly unfazed. "He..."

Moriarty smiled slightly; Old Deng really did know Greydens's whereabouts.

But before Dumbledore could finish speaking, a group of sharks swam out of the sea ahead!

They were all empty skeletons, devoid of flesh and blood, but their mouths were filled with sharp, pointed teeth, which they used to tear at Dumbledore.

"We've been discovered!"

Moriarty's expression changed; his magic made them one with the sea, so that even real sharks wouldn't attack them.

The presence of the bone shark only proves that there are people on the island, and that they have been discovered.

"Quick, charge!"

Without a word, Moriarty plunged his hands into the sea, unleashing two tsunamis with his water elemental magic, followed by four, then eight...

The calm sea surface instantly turned into a raging torrent, and the bone shark was swept into the air and disappeared without a trace.

"As long as you stand on the sea, you are invincible," Dumbledore exclaimed, and continued walking forward.

The two people in the ocean swam very fast and reached the island.

"vomit--"

The island was littered with corpses, and Dumbledore vomited after just one look.

Moriarty had seen countless corpses and seas of blood, and had also experienced the blood feast of the Immortal Organization.

But I have never seen such an apocalyptic scene before.

The corpses scattered everywhere were merely a facade; what Moriarty saw was a deathly stillness.

A strange smell, a mixture of the stench of corpses, blood, and seawater, assaulted Moriarty's senses.

He didn't know what it was.

suddenly

A sharp sound rang out.

"Welcome! Welcome!"

"For over four hundred years, you have been the 3792nd and 3793rd guests on the island."

A tall, thin old man with a full beard and long, messy hair walked up to Moriarty.

Dumbledore, who had just turned around, saw the old man's face and was shocked: "You, you, you..."

He was unable to speak.

Dumbledore, who had lived for over a hundred years, was a man of great knowledge and experience, but he had never met anyone like this before.

The old man had no face, no body, only a skull.

A tattered, old-fashioned coat covered his thin, bony body.

A cold, burning flame flickered in his eyes.

His eye sockets looked different sizes, and his mouth had two rows of messy teeth that emitted a foul odor.

A strange old man walked over with a hunched back.

Moriarty stared at him for a long time before slowly saying, "A lich?"

The old man slowed his pace, and a faint smile seemed to appear on the skull's face: "I'd be even happier if you called me your mortal enemy."
