The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 406 Number 12, Grimmauld Place

Chapter 406 Number 12, Grimmauld Place

Slytherin Castle.

As July arrived, the castle welcomed a steady stream of distinguished guests.

Of course, no one dares to boast about how noble they are in front of Slytherin.

Even Fudge, the Minister of Magic, could only stand nervously before Moriarty, sweating profusely as he explained the reason for the suspension of the Five Schools League.

Moriarty, with his pure blood, put Fudge on the ministerial throne, and removing Fudge was just a matter of a word from Moriarty.

Fudge lived in constant fear. The accident at the Five Schools League made him more anxious than anyone else, but there was nothing he could do; it had escalated into an international issue.

Fudge also offered suggestions in this regard.

He sent Lockhart on a business trip to the United States, partly to enhance international influence and partly to push for the continuation of the Five Schools League.

Fudge had his own ulterior motives; he wanted to use Lockhart's popularity to counter Dumbledore.

Fudge hasn't defied Moriarty yet, but who knows what will happen in the future?

Human nature is the most vulnerable to temptation, especially since Fudge is a greedy and foolish wizard.

Fudge secured his ministerial position when Harry was in his third year, and Harry wouldn't start school until two months later.

So Moriarty wasn't in a hurry at all. Not to mention how much he had grown in three years, Lockhart alone was enough to replace Fudge.

Ironically, Fudge was completely unaware of the truth and was smugly pleased with himself for having Lockhart.

To Fudge's relief, Moriarty did not make things difficult for him this time and even promised that the purebloods would continue to support him.

Fudge was overjoyed, but outwardly remained respectful, patting his chest and promising to fight for greater benefits for Slytherin and purebloods.

In fact, Fudge's policies toward the pure-blood families were quite effective; even the Weasleys, the poorest of the pure-bloods, became financially well-off.

Fudge was completely exhausted when he left the castle.

He vowed to himself that he would never come to this godforsaken place again; all he wanted now was to return to his sweetheart's embrace.

It's no secret in the pureblood family that Minister Fudge's sweetheart is that pink toad Umbridge.

Watching Fudge flee as if running away, Jericho, Marcus, Leon, and the other snakes playing Quidditch in the garden couldn't help but burst into laughter.

After Fudge left, the pure-blood family couldn't wait to visit Moriarty.

In addition to being a student at Hogwarts, Moriarty is also the current head of the Slytherin family.

For the pure-blooded family, 1990 was a fruitful year.

They certainly knew who was behind all of this, if they had previously held Moriarty in some contempt due to his age.

Now I'm completely convinced of Moriarty's talent.

Among the dozens of pure-blood families, large and small, families like Greengrass, Parkinson, and Abbott also have their own children.

Moriarty rescued the children from the blood feast, and in addition to showing respect, he also received gratitude from these families.

The Malfoy family, however, did not send anyone, and Mrs. Malfoy and Draco were still missing.

Moriarty took the opportunity to ask Mrs. Parkinson, who was on good terms with Mrs. Malfoy, where Mrs. Malfoy was.

But Moriarty was disappointed by the result; she also did not know the whereabouts of Madame Malfoy—nobody knew.

Moriarty dispatched a large number of people; if there weren't enough wizards, he sent Muggles to find them!

Old Foley and Old Flint also returned, bringing with them Simon's treasure map and a sum of money extorted from Soviet businessmen.

Moriarty learned from them that the Soviet Union was now in complete chaos, with the Ministry of Magic, races, parties, the army, gangs... all in utter disarray.

The calls for independence are growing louder, and the two nominal leaders—the Minister of Magic and the Muggle President—are completely unable to control the situation.

This also aligns with Moriarty's recollection of the Soviet Union, which began to disintegrate in September of this year and was completely dissolved in December.

July and August, before September, are the best time to seize profits.

So Moriarty devised a plan, ostensibly having old Foley and old Flint appear in person, carrying large sums of money, to project an image of extravagance and wealth.

Under the guise of investment, they actually wanted to acquire farms and ranches in various countries after the collapse of the Soviet Union, or at the very least, sell off factories.

Moriarty continued to operate in secret, but this time he brought along many actors.

There's Jericho, there's Lilith, there's Marcus, and there's Soldaya—Moriati needs him to prove his loyalty.

Moriarty scheduled his trip to the Soviet Union for the end of June, which meant he would have two weeks to spend with Fleur and Gemma, as well as to search for Mrs. Malfoy.

Fleur and Gemma settled comfortably in the castle, and Luke served them diligently, jumping for joy every day. He knew that his young master was doing this to continue the Slytherin family line.

On Wednesday, Moriarty came out of Fleur's room. Except for the last step, the two of them did what they were supposed to do, and they also did what they weren't supposed to do.

While marveling at the good genes of the Werewolf, Moriarty asked Luke to fetch Fleur's new clothes.

Luke immediately took out the maid outfit, nurse uniform, sailor uniform, and assistant uniform he had prepared, and said that Leon needed to see Moriarty.

Moriarty placed the prepared clothes on the bed. Fleur was still sleeping soundly. She could choose one herself when she woke up.

Then they went to the drawing room to meet Leon, who rushed over and said, "Sir, the Aurors didn't find Dobby's body when they were clearing the ruins of Malfoy Manor!"

"Dobby, do you remember him? You mean the Malfoy family's house-elf?"

"I suspect there's something wrong here!"

"Quiet down, I know who Dobby is."

Moriarty stopped Luke from continuing, finding it strange that Dobby had survived that great battle.

Dobby is one of Moriarty's two most hated house-elves, the other being Kreacher.

and many more!

Kreacher?

The house-elves of the Black family?

Moriarty knows where Madame Malfoy is!

Mrs. Malfoy is the third daughter of the Black family; she can go to the Black family ancestral home!

Moriarty jumped up excitedly and rushed towards the door. "Lion, you've done me a huge favor! Luke—get my clothes and wand!"

Leon was completely bewildered, and Luke hurriedly fetched something and handed it to Moriarty.

The Black family home is located at 12 Grimmauld Place, London.

Moriarty Apparated directly to the doorway. Of course, the house was enchanted, and apart from members of the Black family and a few others who knew the situation, no one could see it.

Moriarty has many powerful spells that can break through the protective magic outside the house, but this would undoubtedly attract the attention of Muggles.

It would be best to have Mrs. Malfoy herself run out and open the door for Moriarty, but Mrs. Malfoy is clearly hiding from Moriarty now, so why would she come out?

At this point, a typical boy might confess his feelings in public downstairs.

Arrange lanterns to form a heart shape, kneel down with flowers scattered on the ground to express your love.

The girl upstairs excitedly rushed downstairs and hugged the boy.

But Madame Malfoy was not a little girl; she was a mature and independent woman, a witch with magical powers.

Doing this will only make her more embarrassed and will not have any good effect.

Moriarty analyzes his relationship with Mrs. Malfoy from an outsider's perspective.

It is certain that Madame Malfoy secretly wanted to be with Moriarty.

However, there was already a great gap between the two, and although Lucius was dead, there were too many acquaintances.

From Moriarty's perspective, it was about winning the heart of a beautiful woman and enjoying a unique kind of romance and excitement.

From Mrs. Malfoy's perspective, people would only say that she was vain and unfaithful, and she might even be labeled a "slut".

Given Moriarty's formidable reputation, wizards certainly wouldn't dare to discuss him openly.

People might gossip behind her back, describing Mrs. Malfoy as a woman like Mrs. Sabine.

Mrs. Sabine remarries after each husband dies, and she has now had seven husbands!

Madame Malfoy certainly didn't want to be seen as that kind of woman, and Moriarty didn't want his woman to be misunderstood either.

Therefore, making a big show of it is definitely not going to work.

Furthermore, Madame Malfoy ran back to her parents' home without telling anyone, clearly not wanting anyone to know. It's highly likely that she planned to raise Draco to adulthood and then leave.

Moriarty was certain that Mrs. Malfoy had never thought this way before; Draco's kidnapping had terrified her.

On one hand, it was for the sake of the children, and on the other hand, it was to avoid affecting Moriarty.

Therefore, from any perspective, Moriarty could not take a straightforward approach.

Instead, we need to use a gradual and persistent approach.

Moriarty stroked his chin and thought for a moment. The key was Black's ancestral home.

Madame Malfoy was inside, and Moriarty was outside.

As long as Moriarty gets in and meets Mrs. Malfoy, Moriarty believes he can persuade her; if that doesn't work, he'll seduce her!

So just go into Blake's ancestral home.

Moriarty remembered that Dumbledore seemed to be able to enter the ancestral home, or perhaps not?

But never mind, even if Dumbledore gets in, Moriarty won't let him in. He doesn't want the old bee to get involved in his and Mrs. Malfoy's private affairs.

That leaves only one candidate.

Sirius Black.
