The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 329 Determining the Representatives

Chapter 329 Determining the Representatives (1)

Hanyu Kafu gave Karkaroff a faint smile, which reassured Karkaroff, who assumed that Hanyu Kafu would not allow Moriarty to participate.

Karkaroff proudly picked up his wine glass and took a sip, only to hear Hanyu Kafu say, puzzled:

"Even though I'm far away in Asia, I've heard of Moriarty Slytherin's reputation."

"As the only descendant of the Slytherin family, it would be unreasonable for him not to participate in the competition."

Why did Principal Karkaroff deliberately prevent Moriarty from participating?

"puff…"

Karkaroff choked on a mouthful of wine.

Mrs. Maxim's face also looked grim.

On the contrary, Dumbledore and Dawn looked much better, casting admiring glances at Yuzuru Kafu.

"Is Moriarty just a name without substance? If so, there's no doubt we can exclude him from the competition, which would demonstrate the fairness of our scoring system."

"If not, what reason do we have not to let Moriarty participate!"

Yuzuru Kafu looked righteous and awe-inspiring.

"So this is the kind of person you are!" Karkaroff exclaimed in surprise.

Dumbledore's gaze toward Hanyu Kafu also changed somewhat.

Unlike Durmstrang and Beauxbatons, this was Hogwarts' first collaboration with the Institute of Magic. Dumbledore was fully aware of Karkaroff and Mrs. Maxim's little schemes, and even Headmaster Dawn, who was far away in America, had some understanding of them.

My understanding of Hanyu Kafu is practically nonexistent.

After today's conversation, I have a more intuitive understanding of Hanyu Kafu.

This guy is easy to get along with; he really dares to say what he thinks!

Dumbledore and Dawn exchanged a glance.

Of course, whether they can become close partners remains to be seen.

"The professors are all talking about you; that Japanese principal seems to admire you quite a bit."

At the Slytherin table, Lilith spoke to Moriarty with a mocking look in her eyes.

Although the principals lowered their voices, Moriarty's lip movements were still very recognizable and were noticed by the students.

Moriarty glanced at the professors' table; Karkaroff's ashen face said it all.

"That despicable scoundrel—"

Moriarty sneered and whispered in Lilith's ear, "Still dreaming of making a star player out of nothing."

"Does he think his Krum will shine like it did on the Quidditch pitch?!"

"Don't underestimate the professors at Hogwarts." Moriarty smirked.

Lockhart said that the professors were having a hard time figuring out how to organize the competition. Even Snape used two bottles of Buffet's Brain Power, and Professor McGonagall was losing a lot of hair and was already asking Madam Pomfrey for hair growth serum.

The professors clearly agreed that the competition Moriarty was to participate in could not be too easy; the difficulty level was set according to the standards for an adult wizard to participate in.

Lockhart revealed the specific events of the competition, but Moriarty thought it would be no simpler than the Triwizard Tournament in which Harry Potter participated.

Many young wizards also compared the Five Schools League with the Triwizard Tournament. One of them jokingly said that Durmstrang was badly tricked by the Dark Lord in the Triwizard Tournament during the Dark Lord's reign.

It's possible that Durmstrang wanted to get his revenge from that time on.

Everyone laughed, and Krum, sitting at the Slytherin table, scratched his head awkwardly.

He was impressed by Moriarty's superb ball skills at the World Cup, and during his time at Hogwarts, he lived with the snakes.

Karkaroff is now using tricks against Moriarty, putting Krum in a difficult position.

Just then, a hand landed on Krum's shoulder and patted him gently.

Krum looked up and met a pair of bright eyes.

"It's alright, your relationship with Principal Karkarov won't affect our friendship."

Moriarty, like a professor, smiled broadly and offered earnest advice.

Krum was instantly moved and excitedly gripped Moriarty's hand tightly.

Some girls screamed in ecstasy at Moriarty's smile, for it was rare to see such a smile on his face, making it all the more precious and sincere.

Unlike the other girls, Lilith wasn't captivated by Moriarty's smile; instead, a meaningful smile appeared on her face.

"Just now you expressed disdain for Karkaroff, and now you're showing sincerity to Krum. You really know how to win people over. Once Krum is convinced, I doubt many people in Durmstrang will be targeting you anymore."

"This tactic seems like it can be used by me too! The Five Schools League... has brought many foreigners, it's the perfect time for me to expand my Justice Law program!"

After some internal thought, Lilith's mind started working, and her eyes gleamed as she searched for foreign students who met the club's criteria.

Unfortunately, her eyes met Violet's.

It turns out that Violet had been watching Moriarty the whole time, and seeing Moriarty and Lilith whispering to each other made her feel uneasy.

Originally, Tonks and the other girls had all returned to their respective long tables, and Jericho had also moved to the fifth long table. Violet naturally sat to Moriarty's right.

Violet wanted to take this opportunity to thank Moriarty for healing her wounds, but Lilith and Moriarty were whispering in a language she couldn't understand.

Violet immediately became jealous and stared coldly at Lilith.

Lilith smiled and leisurely savored the food, casually mixing a "magical food" and pushing it in front of Moriarty for him to drink.

Since Jericho wasn't there, Krum drank the "Buffalo Eggnog," a drink made with fried eggs, butter, and dragon fruit juice, to welcome his new friend.

"Cough cough," Krum said with a troubled expression after finishing his drink, "It was mixed quite well, don't mix it again next time."

"Ha ha ha ha……"

The little snakes' lively atmosphere inspired students from other colleges, who mingled together in a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere.

Professor Deng, sitting on the podium, began to sigh again, "No matter what the outcome of the Five Schools League is, the children's happiness today makes the existence of the Five Schools League invaluable."

Everyone nodded in agreement, even Karkaroff showed a look of approval, but Hanyu Kafu's brows flashed with a hint of disapproval.

He glanced at Moriarty one moment, then at Jericho the next, picked up a piece of pork chop and put it in his mouth, chewing it with relish.

Ten minutes later, Dumbledore suddenly stood up and said, "Let's go, it's time to get back to our work."

The professors nodded; grading all the students in the school was no easy task.

As the professors left, a sense of tension arose in the young wizards.

The only two people who remained calm were probably Moriarty and Violet.

Moriarty was convinced that none of the students present could surpass him.

Violet, seeing the perfect understanding between Lilith and Moriarty, felt deeply resentful. In her heart, she cried out, "Mother! Mother! Help me! I must become their representative!"

"Is it to demonstrate Vander's power to the wizards? Or is it to do something naughty with Moriarty?"

The princess's ethereal voice carried a hint of mischief.

As her voice echoed in Violet's heart, Violet's pupils turned gold, flashing brightly.

"Oh dear...Mother!"

Violet stamped her foot shyly, showing a rare display of affection: "I don't care, I'm going to compete with Moriarty anyway, so you have to help me."

"Alright, alright," the princess's expression changed quickly, "provided you complete the task I've given you!"

When the mission was mentioned, Violet became indifferent again. "Hmph, I know."

Losing her appetite, Violet stood up and walked away without a word.

Moriarty suddenly saw a blurry figure flash by behind Violet.

With a slight frown, Moriarty had deduced that the secret behind the shadowy figure behind Violet was the Princess, but he couldn't figure out why the Princess would want to possess his own daughter.

Moriarty glanced at Violet's retreating figure, then at the seat where Hanyu Kafu was sitting, and shook his head slightly. "I hope I'm just overthinking it."

"What are you thinking about now?" Lilith asked, leaning closer. She was always the first to notice Moriarty's expression.

"It's nothing," Moriarty shrugged, then invited, "I have no classes this afternoon. Interested in coming to the Room of Requirement with me to develop a new spell?"

"Of course," Lilith readily agreed.

The two got up and went outside.

A new wizard has appeared, and it is unclear whether he is friend or foe.

Moriarty felt it was best to have a few more trump cards up his sleeve for protection, and this time he set his sights on the seventh curse left behind by Salazar.

With Moriarty's departure, a fierce competition to improve strength began.

The three-week training program was a great success, and everyone's skills improved.
