The mastermind behind Hogwarts
Chapter 326 Five-School League!
Chapter 326 Five-School League! (Have a great weekend!)
"Jellicoe has gone too far! He has broken Helena's heart."
Tonks frowned at Moriarty, her hair turning a purplish-black, indicating her anger.
Tonks had taken Helena back to the Slytherin dungeons, and now he was back in the Great Hall, standing with Moriarty.
The young wizards of Hogwarts were all gathered here. What had just happened was unbelievable to everyone, especially the little snakes. Jericho, with his thick eyebrows and big eyes, had betrayed them?
"The more I think about it, the angrier I get. Jericho is a complete bastard! I want to turn him into a rat! Castrate him, right now!"
Tonks' fists were clenched tightly beneath her wizard's robes, causing the surrounding snakes to instinctively tighten their legs and slowly move away from her.
As the leader of Hufflepuff, Tonks wields considerable influence even within Slytherin, and the snakes are willing to listen to her.
Because Tonks was not only Moriarty's girlfriend, but she also arranged for Hufflepuff's cook to provide the Slytherin team with many delicious meals.
Marcus has said more than once that Hufflepuff is half the credit for his growing taller and fatter.
Seeing the snakes' movements, Moriarty quickly grabbed Tonks's hand and wrapped his own hand around her little fist, managing to calm her down.
He smiled wryly, realizing Jericho had fooled everyone this time. He really wanted to see their expressions when they found out the truth.
However, it may take a while.
Recalling Jericho's final, meaningful glance, Moriarty believed he would find a clue.
Composing himself, Moriarty called out to the crowd, "Jellicoe has his own choice, which is not surprising—if even magic exists, what else is impossible in this world?"
And what we need to do is prove that his choice was wrong!
A chorus of approval erupted from the crowd.
"Yes, that's right!"
"We're going to prove Jericho wrong!"
He's completely wrong!
Moriarty looked around; everyone was looking at him. He nodded seriously and said, "Now, sit down. I have less than an hour until the professors announce the time. It's time to eat. Conserve your energy; we need to give it our all for what's about to happen."
People then realized that it was already past six o'clock. Usually, top students would get up and start studying around this time. In another hour or so, the house-elf would prepare breakfast and bring it to the long table.
The crowd began to move and quickly settled into their seats as usual. The house-elves were working extra hard today, bringing out breakfasts one by one with their careful preparations.
Before long, Japanese and American students arrived as well—they wouldn't miss it.
Jericho was among them, and it seemed he had become the leader of the students from both countries.
"Sir, there are more than eighty of them, and they already pose a threat to us."
An older snake spoke to Moriarty, his eyes fixed on Jericho and his gang of young wizards.
"My dear senior, did you judge based on the number of people?"
Moriarty spoke with a faint smile, his calm and composed demeanor infecting everyone, and they unconsciously relaxed.
"Hmph, eighty-odd people? My little guys can take care of them."
Marcus mischievously tucked his bag under his arm, attracting a lot of attention; now everyone knows what's inside.
It's practically a mobile zoo!
And it's not just any zoo, it's a zoo of amazing creatures!
Who knows how many dangerous magical creatures Marcus has acquired by relying on the Flint family's wealth?
Many people looked at Marcus with disdain.
This big guy is starting to show his Slytherin side!
"Alright, stop overthinking and let's enjoy our meal!"
Moriarty smiled and said something, then lowered his head to enjoy a bite of pudding that Hibiscus fed him.
Tonks's brow twitched, and he picked up a fork with a heart-shaped tart stuck in it, smiling as he fed it to Moriarty's lips: "Darling, I made them into heart-shaped tarts, have a taste."
"Mmm, not bad, not bad."
Moriarty savored the taste of the egg tart; the sweetness of the creamy filling and the aroma of peach blended together, just like Tonks—soft, juicy, and bouncy.
Penelope wasn't going to back down, so she handed over a pie. "You can have mine. The spiciness will explode on your taste buds, and the numbing and spicy sensation will dance in your mouth."
Moriarty offered his mouth without hesitation, and Penelope fed him the pie. Sure enough, it was both numbing and spicy, like a missile suddenly exploding in his mouth. Could this be Penelope's true personality?
"Come on, Moriarty, have some fruit. I'll feed you grapes." Senior Gemma also arrived.
Moriarty ate his breakfast to his heart's content.
On the other side, the twin-tailed girl saw Moriarty enjoying the girls' service, as if they were having a contest where many girls would feed Jericho.
Of course, they were sitting on a long black table that they had conjured together, which looked like a large black snake.
Jericho sat in the first seat, surrounded by a group of girls.
At 7:20, the professors came out of the president's office and entered the auditorium one by one.
"Hey? Look—the professors are all smiles." A student noticed.
"Professor Lockhart's smile is so bright, and Professor McGonagall, she's smiling too!"
"Isn't Professor Snape the strangest one? Look, isn't he smiling too!"
The students noticed that everyone who came out of the principal's office had a big smile on their face.
Many people focused their attention on Professor Snape's face; the corners of his mouth were slightly upturned—was he smiling?
What exactly happened that made Professor Snape laugh?
And his smile is somehow creepy no matter how you look at it...
Did they come to a conclusion during the discussion?
Moriarty assessed the professors' expressions, realizing they must have come up with something about the competition or event.
It seems you've come up with something quite complex.
"Students, students! Are you all here? I need to make sure everyone is here, I have something very important to announce!"
As usual, Professor Dumbledore walked to the center of the professors' seat, with the four headmasters, Dawn, Mrs. Maxim, Karkaroff, and the purple-haired man, standing on his left and right sides.
The professors stood behind them, even Nicolas Flamel and his wife, who were usually in their recliners. Professor McGonagall was chatting with them, while Professor Snape, seemingly detached from the professors, glared at the students with his eagle-like eyes.
When he saw that a fifth long table had appeared and Jericho was at the head, he paused for a moment, glanced at the Slytherin table as if to confirm that Jericho was not there, then blinked and looked back at the fifth long table.
This time, the Slytherin School believed their own eyes. Jericho had left Slytherin and was with the Japanese and American students.
The faint smile on his face vanished abruptly, his expression turning as somber as the black sky before a storm.
The other professors followed Professor Si's gaze and all looked on in surprise.
Moriarty stared intently at the purple-haired wizard, watching his expression.
To avoid being noticed, Moriarty deliberately rested his head on Tonks' neck, observing the purple-haired wizard's expression through his shoulder.
Seeing the Japanese girls surrounding Jericho, a hint of surprise flashed in the purple-haired wizard's eyes, which quickly turned into a thoughtful expression.
Moriarty had a bad feeling. The purple-haired wizard seemed to know Jericho very well, and his eyes seemed to say, "Given Jericho's relationship with Moriarty, why is he hanging out with Japanese students?"
"The Slytherin and Ravenclaw prefects? Please bring Ventura and Helena over here."
Dumbledore spoke again; after questioning, he learned that two students were still missing.
But he didn't know that Vandro and Helena were both lying in bed at that moment.
One of them slept soundly, reminiscing about the night's passion in her dreams, while the other cried her eyes out, recalling the fact that her boyfriend had betrayed her.
Helena's situation is manageable, but Ventura's...
It would be terrible if the prefects found out that Ventura wasn't in her own hidden prefect's bedroom.
Moriarty didn't want Ventra's identity to be revealed now, and he also noticed that the purple-haired man's eyes lit up when he heard Dumbledore mention "Vantra".
"Leave this small task to us."
Moriarty stood up and spoke loudly, with a smile and composure on his face.
All eyes were on him.
Without giving Dumbledore a chance to refute, Moriarty beckoned to Penelope, "Come on, let's go together."
"Very well, I believe the stairs will soon lead Mr. Moriarty and Miss Crevatt to their destination." Dumbledore's smile remained unchanged.
Headmaster Dawn asked curiously why, and Lockhart quickly explained that the Slytherin Staff had the ability to command Hogwarts Castle.
Meanwhile, Moriarty and Penelope quickly summoned Vandro and Helena.
On the way, Moriarty asked Ventral if he knew a purple-haired wizard. Ventral looked away and said he didn't.
Back in the Great Hall, Moriarty observed the purple-haired wizard's expression when he saw Ventra. There was nothing unusual about it; the purple-haired wizard acted as if he had never seen Ventra before.
"All students, all students!"
Once everyone was present, Dumbledore began to speak.
"After our discussion, the five magic schools—Hogwarts, Ilvermorny, Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and the School of Magic—have decided that this joint educational program will be conducted in the form of a competition."
"And taking into account various factors, including your exams and ensuring that the participants get sufficient recovery and improvement—"
"We've divided the competition into three rounds and set the timeframe at three months."
"That's right, which means the competition has already begun right now, at this very moment, in this very place!"
Dumbledore, Dawn, Maxim, Karkaroff, and the purple-haired wizard exchanged glances, nodded, and said in unison, "This is the first joint education program, the Five Schools League!"
Here's a 3000-word post. Have a great weekend!
