Chapter 305 (A scene of chaos!)

In Duweyne's eyes, there were so many little wizards staring at him with wide eyes!

Duwayne, who hated wizards from the bottom of his heart, felt a burning rage.

He jumped off the chair with a "whoosh," glaring fiercely at the little wizards at the four long tables, his face full of a menacing expression.

Princess Sophie was startled awake. Seeing her master's appearance, she thought she had encountered an enemy. Her fur stood on end, and she arched her back, baring her teeth.

A chilling aura emanated from Duweyne, and the young wizards in the boardroom immediately looked up.

Sure enough, Duwene's eyes were showing signs of turning golden!

"Duweyne Vandro!"

Professor McGonagall's roar overwhelmed Vantor's imposing manner.

"You've been sorted into Slytherin! How long will you be staying here?"

Professor McGonagall's roar exploded in Duveen's ears. Duveen had taken too long; usually, the Sorting Ceremony would have ended by now.

In Professor McGonagall's eyes, all Hogwarts students must abide by the school rules.

She cares about the student's identity, even if the student isn't human.

Is it related to humans?

It doesn't matter. Hogwarts has admitted many before. Werewolves and giants, none of them could escape Professor McGonagall's grasp.

Professor McGonagall looked furious, but Duveen ignored her and continued, "I've been sorted into Slytherin? The Slytherin where Moriarty is?"

Duwen looked toward the Slytherin table and quickly spotted Moriarty, who was seated at the head table and easily spotted.

"That's not bad either," Duwene muttered, and walked towards Moriarty.

Princess Sophie gave Professor McGonagall a fierce look, then followed her master away.

Watching the white cat's elegant departing figure, Professor McGonagall suddenly felt that she could become good friends with Princess Sophie.

"What are you thinking? It's time to continue the sorting." Professor McGonagall shook her head and called out the name of the next freshman.

However, few students were paying attention to the Sorting House anymore; most students' eyes followed Duveen Vandro.

Duwen moved too fast, reaching the top of the Slytherin table in a matter of seconds.

At the very top seat sat Moriarty, flanked by Jericho and Lilith on either side.

The person below Jericho is Marcus, and the person below Lilith is Gemma.

Then came the older students, who sat in order, glaring at Duwey with dissatisfaction.

A slender little snake reminded him, "Vancho, your seat is over there." The snake pointed to the end of the table.

Soldaya sat there with the second-year students and three freshmen.

Ignoring the snake's warning, Duwen walked up to Jericho. "You, move aside!"

"Huh?" Jericho exclaimed in surprise, turning his head and pointing to his nose with his index finger. "Are you sure you're talking about me?"

"Yes, it's you." Duwene waved his hand impatiently, as if sweeping away trash, trying to get rid of Jericho.

Jericho rubbed his temples and said dejectedly, "It's so strange, last year it was Soldaya, this year it's Duveen... why is it that some freshman always seems to be picking on me?"

His words made everyone laugh. His roommate Keith laughed and said, "Who told you to call yourself Mr. [the man's] right? It's impossible for anyone not to be envious."

Another roommate, Larpo, pointed at the snake next to him and said to Duveen, "Another freshman who came here just to follow Mr. Duveen."

Duwene heard this and found it amusing.

"Me, follow him?" Duveen pointed at Moriarty. "I'm worried about your intelligence, you guys..."

Before he could finish speaking, Duveen was surrounded by dozens of wands!

"Boy, put your hands down! The first thing you'll learn in Slytherin is to respect Mr. Moriarty."

Marcus pressed a thick, black wand almost against Duveen's forehead.

More wands pointed at Duveen from all directions.

The little snakes might think that this would intimidate Duwein, but in Duwein's mind, it was an offense and a declaration of war against him!

"Never point your stupid sticks at me!"

A phantom image suddenly appeared behind Duwene, and with a "bang," icy magic burst outwards from him.

The front half of the Slytherin table was blown to pieces!

Chaos erupted as the professors immediately stood up, and the other students stared in horror at the scene.

Amidst the flying debris, pale blue bubble shields appeared one by one. Moriarty had placed a shield over each of the little snakes the instant Duveen unleashed his power.

Duveen's golden eyes were fixed on Moriarty, his short hair swaying slightly as magic surged.

"Impressive magic! He's certainly got a knack for defeating Quinlan!"

Just as Moriarty was about to speak in his defense, the castle gates were suddenly opened.

"Creak—"

A figure appeared outside the door.

"Child, you're wrong. It wasn't Moriarty who defeated Quinlan, it was me!"

Everyone looked toward the gate. The newcomer was spotless from head to toe, wearing a flowing turquoise robe and a turquoise hat with gold trim atop his gleaming blond hair.

The person entered the hall, removed his top hat, and bowed to everyone.

Good evening, friends.

"Your loyal Gilderoy Lockhart reporting for duty!"

"Please forgive my lateness, but now it seems just in time."

Gilderoy Lockhart straightened up, puffed out his chest, and looked at everyone with a smile in his eyes. He quickly exchanged a glance with Moriarty, then nodded to Dumbledore.

Finally, he turned his attention to Duweyne.

The crowd was stunned for two seconds, then erupted in a thunderous cheer.

Although they didn't know the purpose of Lockhart's visit, the astute students had a vague idea.

Lockhart's smile deepened, and the cheers came entirely from the students; not a single professor joined in, except for Hagrid, who clapped his hands.

But Lockhart didn't care at all, striding towards the professor's chair, each step firm and composed.

Dumbledore watched Lockhart approach, smiled, and clapped. He then arranged for Lockhart to sit in an empty seat on the professors' table.

This gesture delighted the students.

Is that guess about to become a reality?

The cheers grew even louder.

Dumbledore raised his hands and made a three-point gesture to calm the Great Hall down.

"Ah, it feels so strange that I get to speak before the Sorting Ceremony is even over."

Dumbledore's opening remarks were, as always, a self-deprecating joke.

But the students bought into it, and even Duwene calmed down.

If you disregard the fact that half of the Slytherin table was destroyed and all the Slytherin students stood there with gloomy expressions, it would indeed be a harmonious scene.

Dumbledore quickly added, "But given the special circumstances this year, I feel compelled to say a few more words."

"Restore to its original state." Dumbledore chanted the spell, and the tableware on the Slytherin table and benches, which had been destroyed by Duwayne, was restored to its original state without any damage.

The snakes' expressions improved considerably. One of the seventh-grade snakes glanced at Moriarty's expressionless face, then at Snape.

Since Duwayne was sorted into Slytherin, the Slytherin Church has kept its eyes closed, preferring to ignore the situation.

The little snake suddenly felt emboldened and said coldly, "Professor, the Slytherin table has never been destroyed since Hogwarts was founded a thousand years ago. You must give us an explanation for this!"

Duwene immediately objected and turned around to glare at him.

"Slytherin students, please sit! And Duwen Ventura, you sit down too!" Dumbledore's voice boomed. "If you trust me, do as I say, and I promise you I will give you a satisfactory explanation."

Duwein hesitated for a moment, then sat down nearby without saying anything.

The little snakes remained still, staring longingly at Moriarty.

The whole incident was somewhat unexpected for Moriarty.

Duveen was like a madman, his mind filled with nothing but thoughts of killing wizards, and Moriarty was certain that he had become the wizard Duveen most wanted to kill.

The second-ranked player should be Lockhart; Moriarty just saw Duveen staring intently at Lockhart.

These things are nothing, though. Due to differing stances, he sometimes wanted to eliminate all vampires.

However, Moriarty was somewhat angry that Duveen destroyed the Slytherin table.

He originally intended to punish Duwayne in his own way, but since Dumbledore had a plan, he would leave it to Dumbledore.

After all, according to the prior agreement, Dumbledore was in charge of managing Ventura.

So Moriarty slowly sat down in the chief seat, and the little snakes then sat down in their original order.

The little snakes on either side of Duwey preferred to squeeze together with the classmates next to him rather than sit next to Duwey.

Seeing that Slytherin had returned to calm, Dumbledore continued, "First, Duwayne Ventral, you were sorted into Slytherin House, you are a Slytherin, and you destroyed your house's long table and chairs, which should be punished. This matter is to be handed over to your Headmaster."

Professor Snape then opened his eyes and said without a trace of emotion, "Deduct 50 points, six months of solitary confinement, under the supervision of Moriarty Slytherin."

Why is it my turn to be in charge again?

Moriarty shook his head.

On the other side, Duwene immediately stood up, about to shout again.

Dumbledore stopped him, "Mr. Ventura, according to our previous agreement, you must abide by the professor's words."

Duwen sat back down dejectedly; this was indeed an agreement between him and Dumbledore.

In order to get into Hogwarts, Duwayne and Dumbledore made many agreements, and overall, both sides got what they wanted.

Dumbledore clapped his hands, drawing attention to him. "Well, Professor Snape has already made his decision regarding Mr. Duwayne, and I will announce two further decisions after the Sorting Ceremony."

Dumbledore glanced at the Slytherin students. "Now, you, including all the students, will be quiet."

We need to let the Sorting Ceremony continue. Mr. Sorting Hat only meets everyone once a year; we shouldn't disappoint him.
