Chapter 270 Tokyo Ghoul

The Pacific Ocean is full of reefs, and thousands of ships sink there every year. However, the cruise ship that Moriarty discovered was different.

The ship tilted to the left, and Moriarty immediately determined that there was a foreign object under the starboard side!

He stood below another window, and a stream of blood gushed down like a fountain, splashing onto his bald head!

Even the slowest people realized what had happened: a murder had occurred in the cabin!

There was more than one dead person, because most people ran to the deck, but some people did not make it out.

Seeing the blood gushing out like a fountain, the panicked people couldn't help but wonder what deep-seated hatred could have caused this.

Moriarty frowned, however, as murder among Muggles was unlikely to cause a "fountain of blood."

Given the ship's unexplained tilting, Moriarty suspected that the cruise ship had been subjected to unnatural phenomena.

In other words, the probability of encountering wizards and magical creatures on the cruise ship has greatly increased.

While Moriarty was deep in thought, another person was murdered in the fourth-floor cabin, and blood gushed out of the window.

Screams and curses erupted immediately, and the people standing under the window pushed and shoved those in front of them, forcing them to squeeze forward.

"Thump, thump!"

The repeated splashes told people that many people had been pushed off the deck and into the water, and only then did order begin to return.

But those who only cared about themselves didn't see that the cruise ship was getting closer and closer to Moriarty's ice raft.

A thoughtful look crossed Moriarty's eyes, and he decided to board the cruise ship to find out what was going on.

Before leaving, Moriarty steered the ice raft into the sea to investigate the cause of the cruise ship's tilt.

Then he used a Transfiguration Charm to change his appearance, wearing canvas shoes, jeans, a white t-shirt, and a blue plaid shirt. His hair turned brown, and some freckles appeared on his face, making him look like a harmless middle school student.

Having disguised himself, Moriarty cast a Disillusionment spell on himself and flew into the fourth-floor cabin of the cruise ship.

Moriarty walked down the corridor and heard sounds of fighting coming from many of the rooms.

"The Arahu Cave Opens."

"Click, click, click..."

The locks on all the doors to the dozens of rooms were unlocked, and with a "whoosh," all the doors were opened, revealing the interior of the room closest to Moriarty.

The ground was covered in blood. A woman lay on the ground with a huge gash in her stomach. It was empty inside, with nothing but a blurry, muddy mass of flesh and blood.

Having witnessed countless deaths in his past life, Moriarty walked in calmly into the bedroom, where a man's body lay curled up on the bed, his head severed from his body.

It seems the fountain of blood just now came from this poor man's neck.

Moriarty examined the cut on the neck; the cross-section was smooth and clean, clearly not caused by any known cold weapon.

It's almost certain; the cruise ship was attacked by an unknown creature.

Having confirmed this, Moriarty turned and left; he needed more clues.

I had just stepped out of the room when I saw a monster!

He was 1.4 meters tall and completely black.

Its round head resembled a skull, and its black pupils held a cruel glint in them. Its upper and lower rows of teeth looked haphazardly embedded in its mouth.

The monster walked over with its back bent and head hanging low, its arms and forearms thick, powerful, and muscular.

The toes and fingers were very long, with long, sharp nails that were now stained red with blood and covered with bits of flesh.

It was obvious that, although both were ghouls, this one was completely different from the ghouls in Britain.

The British ghoul is just a scary name; it is not a particularly dangerous monster.

They typically live in the attics or barns of wizarding families, feeding on the spiders and moths there.

In wizarding families, ghouls are often a topic of conversation, and they may even become pets for the whole family.

For example, in Ron Weasley's house, there was an old ghoul kept in the attic.

In fact, ghouls originated in Arabia.

It is a shapeshifting demon that lives in the desert and can transform into animals.

For example, they could become scavenging hyenas, searching for prey in the desert.

Sometimes they would wander around graveyards, wilderness, or places where someone had just died, doing some shady business.

They plunder graveyards, devour corpses, swallow infants alive, and lure travelers into desert wastelands to kill and devour them.

However, neither the Arabian ghoul nor the British ghoul was nearly as eerie as the ghoul before Moriarty.

Moriarty suddenly realized that the ghoul was staring at him. A red light flashed in the ghoul's eyes, and without warning, it jumped up and pounced on Moriarty with its mouth wide open.

A strong smell of blood wafted out, and the ghoul's mouth was full of minced meat!

Moriarty's expression changed drastically. His cedarwood wand sprang into his hand, and he raised his arm. "Obstacles everywhere."

"Bang!"

The ghoul was knocked away by the invisible air and slammed hard against the wall.

Before he could even land, Moriarty delivered a follow-up "Petrify All".

However, the expected petrification did not occur.

The demonic light struck the ghoul's black skin, like hitting a sturdy shield, sparking a few times before disappearing silently.

Moriarty blinked, somewhat surprised as he watched his spell fail for the first time.

"roar!"

The ghoul bared its fangs and charged at Moriarty.

"Let me try out the fire elemental magic I just learned."

Moriarty put away his fir wand and took the Slytherin staff out of his system space, holding it in his hand.

Pointing the tip of his staff at the ghoul, Moriarty chanted, "Volcanic eruption!"

"Thump!"

A massive fireball, like a volcanic eruption, struck the ghoul, its immense force piercing through its abdomen and engulfing its body in flames.

The ghoul fell to the ground, spilling a large pool of black blood, and let out a sharp howl. As if it were a signal, sixteen or seventeen ghouls ran out from the various rooms.

Each ghoul's eyes flashed red as they stared at Moriarty.

"A bunch of beasts, daring to treat me as prey?" Moriarty said with disgust, swinging his staff in a specific trajectory, the fire elemental magic fully contacting the air, and the surrounding temperature began to rise.

The ghoul seemed extremely sensitive to temperature, constantly shaking its head and darting around with its black eyes.

"Trying to escape? Too late!"

Moriarty raised his staff with a cold smile, and magic gathered at the top of the cabin, changing the ecological environment of the corridor and making it as hot as the summer heat.

The ghouls seemed to sense a terrible threat and began to howl madly.

They brandished their claws and bared their sharp teeth, attacking Moriarty like mad dogs.

Moriarty scoffed dismissively, "Explosive heat!"

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

A series of explosions rang out in the corridor, lasting for a minute, blasting the ghoul to pieces, leaving it a bloody mess.

The entire corridor was stained red with blood, and a putrid stench filled the air.

Moriarty casually summoned a stream of water, which washed the walls and passageway.

The cruise ship suddenly rocked, and the angle of the hull tilted even more.

After regaining his footing, Moriarty paused for a moment.

The ice raft sent to investigate broke apart, but the cause of the cruise ship's tilt was also determined.

As Moriarty expected, there was something underwater, a large one.
