Chapter 220 Returning Home (Please Subscribe)

The final whistle blew, and the scoreboard showed a glaring and alarming 300-0.

The fans supporting Japan shouted a few loud cheers, but they quickly disappeared.

The High Protest is Canada's home game, and about 40,000 of the spectators are Canadian wizards, making up half of the total audience!

Canada was shut out, and the victory they seemed certain to win slipped away to Japan. The Canadian wizard's feelings were incredibly complex: frustration, shock, grief, sorrow, and anger...

Amidst a mix of emotions, more than 40,000 people were unable to utter a single sound!

The other half of the wizards were so shocked they couldn't speak.

Before the match, not a single person stood up and said that the Japanese team could shut out the Canadian team.

The performance of the Japanese team today exceeded everyone's expectations, and Hyprose fell into a deathly silence.

In the upper stands, Moriarty and Maxi exchanged a glance.

Before the match, they all believed that the Japanese team would win, but the Canadian team would not lose so badly.

"The Magician and Kogoro Tsukamura must have used magic, otherwise the Canadian team could not have been shut out."

"Yes!" Maxi was furious. The Japanese team had openly used magic in the Quidditch semi-finals, which was a desecration of Quidditch!

[At this point, I hope readers will remember our domain name 12199.99]

Maxi had a deep love for Quidditch, and he felt insulted.

"Those liars..." Maxi gritted his teeth, watching the Japanese team slowly descend from the sky. "I'm going to file a complaint against them! Canada isn't happy about losing either; my complaint will definitely work!"

"Alright," Moriarty scoffed, leading the players back down from the stands. As he walked, he said to Maxi, "There's only one match left in the World Cup, and that's the final!"

If you file a complaint against the Dongying team, will the Dongying team accept an investigation?

The Japanese team has advanced to the finals. Investigating the Japanese team would mean postponing the finals, which would result in a huge loss for the Canadian Ministry of Magic! Therefore, the authorities will not investigate the Japanese team.

Even if the Japanese team used some unknown magic, it should be exposed by the players during the match, not settled afterward; that would be meaningless.

"well……"

Maxi sighed deeply. "I underestimated the problem, sir."

Moriarty shook his head to indicate that it was nothing. They walked down from the stands and onto the main track. As the final approached, fewer and fewer players were training on the track, while more and more tourists and spectators were coming to play.

The air was filled with the cheerful laughter of wizards playing Quidditch.

"Sir," Maxie suddenly exclaimed, "do you love Quidditch?"

"Me? There's very little that I'm passionate about."

Moriarty's voice suddenly sounded unfamiliar, as if it were coming from a very distant place.

"I understand." Maxi gave a bright smile.

Moriarty raised an eyebrow: "What do you know?"

"You love Quidditch, sir," Maxie declared confidently. "To be precise, we wouldn't have met here if we didn't love Quidditch."

Moriarty glanced at the sky and saw two wizards swooping down on broomsticks, shouting excitedly.

"You're right, Maxi," Moriarty sighed deeply. "Quidditch isn't a tool for retaliation. The Japanese team has gone astray."

"See? I told you you loved Quidditch! What you just said made you sound like a true Quidditch player!" Maxie said with a delighted smile. "Sir, I have a request—may I follow you?"

"reason?"

"If I'm with you, I believe we can climb to the highest peak no matter where we go." Maxi stood tall and straight.

Moriarty gave Maxie a serious look. "Your request is approved. Come back to Slytherin Castle with me tomorrow—Hogwarts is on holiday, and I need to go back to take care of some chores."

Max readily accepted, and the two then began to chat freely, from Ifamony School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in America to Hogwarts, from the Blanche family to Jericho.

"My brother, he—" Maxi's words were interrupted by a piercing scream, "Ah—"

People looked in the direction of the sound and saw a little girl fall off a flying broomstick, crying loudly in fright.

Save people!

The wizards present all thought the same thing.

However, Moriarty released the Levitation Charm ahead of time, saving the little girl and, incidentally, the flying broomstick, which swept across the seven stars.

After the little girl landed safely, she lay on the ground and cried loudly. Moriarty noticed that the child had pure white hair and remembered a beautiful figure.

"Gabrielle!"

A call came from behind, and it was easy to tell from the voice that the owner was anxious.

Moriarty shook his head. The voice was clearly Fleur's, so the little girl must be Gabrielle, Fleur's sister!

Sure enough, Furong squeezed through the crowd, and the little girl on the ground got up and rushed into Furong's arms.

"Sister, waaaaah, sister~"

"Gabrielle~" Fleur stroked Gabrielle's head, hugged her tightly, and said in a trembling voice, "I'm sorry" and "It's okay."

"It's my fault, Gabrielle. It's alright now. I'm so glad you're not hurt."

Hibiscus kissed Gabrielle's forehead, then hugged Gabrielle, turned her back to Moriarty, and walked into the crowd with her head down.

"Hey?" Maxi spread his arms, glancing at Fleur's retreating figure with a puzzled look. "It was the gentleman who saved that child, and she didn't even say 'thank you'?"

"Don't say anything, this is the master's family matter," Roman quickly reminded him.

Maxi's eyes widened: "Family matters?"

"Aww~" He glanced thoughtfully at Hibiscus, wanting to ask Roman more questions, but when he turned around, he saw Moriarty glaring at Roman, who chuckled awkwardly and shrank back into the group.

Moriarty reached out and hooked the flying broom on the ground, sending it flying to Roman's side.

"Take it and give it back to them."

"Okay, Captain." Roman jogged off.

Hibiscus carried Gabrielle and walked very slowly. Roman caught up with them in less than half a minute.

Moriarty saw Roman smile and say a few words, then Fleur angrily snatched the broom away, turned and walked in another direction, giving Moriarty a resolute and graceful back view.

"Childish." Moriarty shook his head and smiled, then called his teammates back.

Early the next morning, Moriarty led the British team and Maxie back to England, traveling from Hyprose to the Department of Sport of the British Ministry of Magic via Floo Powder.

Fouché greeted them in the director's office.

"Our hero is home! Haha!"

Fudge smiled and hugged each player. When it was Max's turn, he paused, then shook hands with Max and said, "Welcome, Mr. Blanche, to England. Welcome."

Maxi shrugged. "I'm not your hero, am I?"

"That's not how it works," Fudge said with a smooth smile. "If Mr. Blanche is willing to settle in England, I think the English wizards would be happy to accept you."

"You and Roman are both top-class seekers. You could implement a rotation; honestly, it would guarantee to thrash the other teams."

"Mr. Fudge, do you want to replace me?" Roman frowned in displeasure.

The players with the afro and others laughed heartily.

"No, no, absolutely not." Fudge quickly waved his hand and explained, "Mr. Roman, I just wanted you to get plenty of rest, and I'm also thinking about the national team. By the way, Mr. Blanche, are you really not going to consider it?"

"Not interested." Maxi shrugged. "I'd love to have a showdown with you at the next World Cup."

"Ah~ yes, everyone is an admirer of Mr. [the artist], and I am no exception."

Fudge smiled and looked at Moriarty, his tone becoming respectful: "Sir, would you like to return to Slytherin Castle first or Hogwarts first?"

If you're going back to Slytherin Castle, I probably won't be able to take you. Your castle is now the safest place in all of England—nobody knows where it is, and there are no door keys or Floo powder to get to Slytherin Castle.

If it's Hogwarts, I guarantee you can get to Albus Dumbledore's office in an instant.

Knowing you were going back to your home country, I specially prepared new Floo Powder for you.

Max raised an eyebrow at Roman, his eyes saying, "Who is this guy? Why is he being so obsequious?"
