The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 204 Departure, North America!

Chapter 204 Departure, North America!

The day after the Christmas dinner, Lockhart made contact with Mr. Dawn, the headmaster of Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Lockhart cleverly used a little trick.

In his letter, he did not directly mention that he was going to Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to give a presentation, but instead said that with the World Cup about to start, he was going to the United States to do charity work.

Mr. Dawn was overjoyed to hear that Lockhart was coming to the United States for charity work.

The headmaster, who held Lockhart in the highest esteem, immediately offered to convene an American wizarding community for a charity gala.

He was even willing to offer the school's castle as a venue for parties.

Lockhart declined, writing in his letter: "Dear Dawn, I know you are compassionate, but you cannot let your compassion become a shackle."

Although my goal has always been charity, I can't escape the Galleon.

I don't want your esteemed school's young wizards to be tainted by money too early. I've always supported Hogwarts' educational philosophy—students should not get involved in politics or money, but focus solely on studying magic.

In his reply, Principal Dawn introduced the history of Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, pointing out that there were many Muggle wizards in the school who were dedicated to magicalizing objects in the Muggle world.

The unexpected implication is that his students are not so innocent.

This is a new situation!

Lockhart quickly reported this to Moriarty, and then, seeing the many nice things Dawn said in the letter, reluctantly agreed to Dawn's request.

And so Lockhart flew to the United States, where he received a great deal of attention and a grand welcome from the U.S. Ministry of Magic and Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

This became a popular story in Slytherin Castle, making the Jericho Snakes happy for a long time.

On the castle sofa, old Flint didn't forget to teach Marcus: "In the world of adult wizards, communication is an art! Skillful communication can bring you unexpected benefits."

Marcus nodded emphatically: "I don't need to say much, I'll listen to you, sir."

Old Flint looked at his son's honest and simple appearance, speechless. But it was for the best.

Old Foley laughed heartily. "Young Foley, are you really a Slytherin? I suspect there might be some mistake with the Sorting Hat; you were supposed to be a Hufflepuff!"

Marcus didn't speak, but gave old Foley a wistful look, then silently pulled out a large black book.

Old Foley frowned, glanced at the spellbook, and couldn't help but jump up from the sofa. "Winged Demon? What the hell! You're not planning to use this to get revenge on me, are you?"

"My father was right after all; Uncle Foley is very knowledgeable." Marcus turned a page.

It was just one sentence, but it flattered two people.

Old Foley and Old Flint exchanged glances. Old Flint coughed and asked, "Son, where did this book come from?"

"This book, 'The 100 Most Terrifying Magical Creatures in the Last 1000 Years,' was picked up by Hagrid from Knockturn Alley. I borrowed it to take a look, and I didn't expect Uncle Foley to be able to recognize the Winged Demon." Marcus closed the large black book with a smile.

"I see," old Foley said with a smile to old Flint, "Brother, I take back what I said earlier, your son is a born Slytherin!"

Old Flint was clearly pleased with himself, but he pretended to be nonchalant, shrugging his shoulders. "Who in this castle isn't a Slytherin?"

"I'm going to find Jericho. You two continue your conversation." Marcus got up and left.

Looking at his son's broad back, old Flint was sincerely grateful to Moriarty. He knew that it was Moriarty who had changed Marcus.

"My friend, what do you think the wizarding world would be like if the young master had been born fifty years earlier...?" Old Flint hesitated for a few seconds before using a word he had never uttered before to describe the wizarding world under Moriarty's rule.

"Hehehe," old Foley laughed, "I don't know what will happen to the wizarding world, but I do know that the Dark Lord has gained a relative!"

Have you ever wondered who is of higher seniority, the young master or the Dark Lord?

"Well, you can ask him when you have the chance."

Old Flint and Old Foley were thus lost in reminiscing about the past and dreaming about the future, something they hadn't done in decades.

Moriarty's arrival changed many people, including Tonks.

She spent the entire night trying to understand what Moriarty meant by what he said at the dinner party and the tasks he assigned—it sounded like a mastermind was manipulating the world.

Thinking hard!

So Tonks started to tossing and turning in Moriarty's arms. "You naughty junior, get up. I can't sleep, and neither can you!"

I asked you, "Do you want to do something for this world?"

"I just want to do something to you." Moriarty's hands began to grope.

"I just can't do anything with you..." Tonks kissed Moriarty with hazy eyes, "Let's die together if we have to."

"Don't talk nonsense." Moriarty slapped Tonks's protruding arm. "Not only will I not die, I'll live a wonderful life, and you'll live a comfortable one."

Although they didn't take the final step, Tonks became more and more radiant thanks to the nourishment of love.

Moriarty had her completely under his thumb; a girl in love is the most beautiful.

And so, everyone spent the Christmas holiday in laughter and joy.

Tonks and the three little snakes returned to school on the Hogwarts Express, while Moriarty sent a letter to Dumbledore, informed the school, and then met up with Roman and other national team players in Diagon Alley before heading to the British Ministry of Magic together.

Ludo told Moriarty that U.S. Congress President Paul Jackson was holding a meeting in the Pentagon, and that Paul had sent his secretary to greet the British national team.

"Jackson?"

Moriarty recalled that he had talked about the Magical Congress of America with Jericho, and if Moriarty remembered correctly, the first president's surname was Jerison.

Go and meet the purebloods of the American wizarding world.

Moriarty smirked and led the national team through the portal key, across borders, to the headquarters of the Magical Congress of America.

Paul's secretary, a charming blonde, had been waiting for some time. She led Moriarty and his party toward the Pentagon office.

"After the Bigfoot Rebellion broke out in 1892, the Magical Congress of the United States began to search for new hiding places, and the Woolworth Building at 233 Broadway in Manhattan, New York City, came into the sights of the forefathers."

Thus, this place became a shared building for Muggles and wizards. After the correct spell was cast, it would transform into a space for the wizards to use.

That's why the Chairman sent me to show you the way.

While introducing the Magical Congress of America, the female secretary secretly flirted with Moriarty.

Roman whispered to Moriarty, "I heard she's having an affair with Paulo. Don't let this woman bewitch you; you're representing the national team now!"

Moriarty scoffed, "You think I'm the kind of lecherous wolf who'll prey on anyone?"

"No, no, no, it was just a friendly reminder." Roman waved his hand. He had seen the girls around Moriarty at Hogwarts, and they were miles ahead of the female secretary, who was just a pretty face.

"Don't overthink it, Moriarty. He's just resentful. He hopes that the secretary is flirting with him instead," the man with the afro said with a grin, revealing Roman's weakness.

As the group chatted and laughed, they arrived at the entrance of the Pentagon office.

Moriarty noticed an owl statue hanging above the door, which bore a striking resemblance to the emblem of the Magical Congress of the United States.

"This eagle is the symbol of the American side," Roman said, seeing Moriarty looking up at the eagle. "I've been into this building many times, but I've never been into the Pentagon. This time, I'm thanks to you."

As soon as he finished speaking, the two large, dark brown doors opened with a whoosh, and a voice came from inside, "Please come in, Mr. Moriarty and the players of the British national team."

Moriarty smiled slightly; it was James's voice, always so enthusiastic.

"Please come in, distinguished guests," the female secretary said with a smile, winking at Moriarty.

Moriarty did not respond, but strode into the office, with Roman and the others quickly following behind.
