Chapter 195 Dance Partner

Moriarty returned to the Slytherin common room, seemingly entering the boys' lavatory.
There wasn't a single girl on the sofa; the little snakes sitting around the fireplace were all boys, casting envious glances at Moriarty.
"Sir, we're back."
Jericho's voice came from behind Moriarty, who turned around to look.
Jericho, Leon, and the others walked wearily through the stone gate—they looked like soldiers who had just returned from the battlefield. They greeted Moriarty listlessly and then plopped down on the sofa.
"Move to the right, buddy. Make room for me," Leon muttered to his companion as he sat on the edge of the sofa.
Jericho took a few heavy breaths, struggled to raise his arm, grabbed a water glass from the table, and gulped it down, not caring whose it was.
"Sir, being famous is a terrible feeling."
Moriarty sat down beside him, a strange look on his face: "Are you famous now?"
"No, I'm somewhat famous," Jericho waved his hand, looking both pleased and nonchalant. "I mean, seeing you surrounded by girls reminded me of myself ten years from now."
I don't think I like this, even though the object of my affection is a fragrant, delicate young girl.
Jericho shook his head.
"How arrogant! Are you trying to elevate yourself by using Mr. [referring to a certain person]?" Leon gave Jericho a weak, dismissive look.
"Hmm, remember? I'm Speedster, and I have my own fans," Jericho said proudly. "I like being in the spotlight, but I don't like being watched like a monkey show."
"Oh? Can I take that as you thinking that the gentleman's popularity with girls is like that of a monkey being toyed with?"
"What's wrong with you today?" Jericho rolled over, glaring at Leon. "Why are you always going against me!"
Leon didn't answer, but gently closed his eyes and dozed off.
"Something's not right, something's not right with you, you're definitely hiding something from us!" Jericho pointed at Leon and shouted, "Sir, let him talk! Leon has done something bad behind your back."
"You little brat, I didn't!" Leon pounced on Jericho and shook his head at Moriarty.
"You two still have time to joke around?" Moriarty shook his head and smiled. "Have you found a dance partner yet?"
They separated abruptly, and Jericho laughed carelessly, "I have Helena."
Leon lowered his head. Moriarty and Jericho stared wide-eyed at his expression. Jericho exclaimed in surprise, "No way! The boys' president didn't find a dance partner?"
Keith, standing nearby, chuckled and said, "Prefect Leon invited the girls' chairperson, but was turned down."
"Keith!" Leon jumped up as if he had been hit where it hurt, pointing at Keith with an expression that looked like he was going to settle scores with him.
Keith quickly hid behind Moriarty, who patted Leon on the shoulder, gesturing for him to sit down.
"You refused to share your pudding with her before, and now you're inviting her to be your dance partner. What are you thinking? Any girl with self-respect would refuse you."
Leon sighed deeply. "I don't know what I'm thinking. As soon as the news of the ball spread, the first person I thought of as my dance partner was her."
"Ah, I get it," Jericho said with an air of knowing better. "You want to dance with her, but you won't even share a pudding with her. What a jerk!"
Leon pounced on Jericho again, this time grabbing Jericho by the neck.
The little snakes burst into laughter, and Moriarty chuckled, "Calm down, Leon! Your every word and action represents the Minchum family. Calm down!"
Leon then released Jericho, who straightened his robe. Leon hadn't used much force, so Jericho wasn't in pain, but he still had to say something cheeky: "You can't lay a hand on me even without a dance partner. Grown men pulling and tugging like that, aren't you ashamed!"
Seeing the piercing look Leon gave him, Jericho naturally changed the subject: "Sir, have you chosen your dance partner yet?"
The common room fell silent instantly. The little snakes pricked up their ears, waiting for Moriarty's answer, and even Lilith, who was hiding at the entrance of the girls' dormitory, held her breath.
Lilith's dark pupils held a hint of unease and trepidation.
She stood motionless at the dormitory entrance. Dance partner? Who would Moriarty choose?
Lilith completely disdains the girls outside who try to stalk and orchestrate encounters with Moriarty.
Indeed, among those girls, who would dare to ignore Moriarty's many accolades and approach him on ordinary days? They wouldn't even dare to strike up a conversation with him.
Don't be fooled by the fuss those girls are making now; it's all bark and no bite, just unrealistic dreams.
What infuriated Lilith was some real threats. Suddenly, the image of Gemma Farley, an intellectual lady, flashed through her mind, followed by the image of Penelope sitting obediently next to Moriarty, nodding her little head.
Which of them will Moriarty invite?
Or...should we invite them?
Headmaster Dumbledore made it clear that multiple dance partners could be invited.
Lilith pouted; this rule was practically tailor-made for Moriarty.
However, she had a vague feeling that Moriarty would not invite all of them, but only one girl.
The silence in the lounge didn't last long. Moriarty gave Jericho a meaningful look. "Did a girl ask you to ask me something?"
"Ahem, well..." Jericho broke down in an instant. He really didn't dare to lie to Moriarty under his gaze; those gray eyes had the magic to see through people's hearts.
Upon hearing Moriarty's words, Lilith, standing at the entrance of the girls' dormitory, blushed instantly and thought to herself, "I'm doomed."
Fortunately, Jericho wasn't the type to betray his comrades. He simply smiled and said, "Sir, our operation to rescue you was organized by Pilivik."
Leon, Keith, and several other small snakes all nodded.
Moriarty understood and nodded silently. He glanced at the girls' dormitory. Jericho thought he was going to call Lilith out, but instead heard Moriarty ask, "Where did Tonks go after the match?"
"Forehead……"
Jericho and Leon exchanged a glance. "It seems that Senior Tonks went to the Hufflepuff Dining Hall and is saying she's going to cook a delicious meal."
Moriarty smirked, "That gluttonous cat."
He stood up and walked toward the stone gate. "The evening ball will be held promptly at seven o'clock. Everyone in Slytherin must find a dance partner and attend in their finest attire to showcase the elegance of Slytherin to the guests."
"No problem, sir, we won't let you down," Leon said, taking the lead.
After Moriarty left, Jericho shook his head and smiled wryly: "Tsk tsk, it seems that the gentleman's dance partner has been decided. Yes, Senior Tonks."
"Tonks" was bitten hard by Jericho, as if on purpose so that Lilith, who was hiding behind the door, could hear it.
In fact, Lilith already knew when Moriarty asked about Tonks' whereabouts.
Moriarty found his dance partner, and a huge weight was lifted from his heart, while Lilith felt relieved.
Looking at the entire Hogwarts, Tonks was indeed the most suitable dance partner for Moriarty.
They are all players from the Dream Team, who together defeated the national team. It is perfectly reasonable and justifiable for them to lead the dance and showcase the style of Hogwarts students in front of the guests.
Lilith slowly sat back on the bed, curled up in the white blankets, and suddenly realized that she couldn't always revolve around Moriarty.
On the other side, Moriarty had just stepped out of the common room when he was met by Larpo, who was rushing towards him.
Upon seeing Moriarty, Larpo immediately beamed with ecstatic joy: "Sir! Mr. Moriarty, please, please go to the Black Lake!"
"What's the panic? Explain yourself clearly." Moriarty glared at Larpo with displeasure. "What are you going to the Black Lake for?"
"Someone is waiting for you..." Larpo pleaded, looking at Moriarty. "Please, go."
"Who?" Moriarty wondered, wondering who could possibly make Larpo beg him like this.
"You'll see when you get there." Larpo lowered his head and ran into the stone gate.
Moriarty found it all puzzling and became curious about the person who had relayed the message to Toralpo, so he walked toward the Black Lake.
He didn't believe anyone had plotted against him at the Black Lake. Unless someone's brain was filled with twigs, no one would be foolish enough to choose to harm him at Hogwarts.
Ten minutes later, Moriarty arrived at the Black Lake. In late November, the Black Lake resembled Professor Snape's face when he was angry, terribly gloomy.
He glanced around and spotted a woman dressed in a white wizard's robe by the lake.
Yes, it was a woman, not a girl or a young lady.
The woman had her back to Moriarty and faced the lake. A gentle breeze ruffled her light blonde hair. From behind, she appeared to be a woman with a graceful figure and a tall stature.
Guess who this woman is?
