The mastermind behind Hogwarts
Chapter 189 The Seeker's End
Chapter 189 The Seeker's End
Moriarty made a surprising move, turning around and diving towards the right side of the field.
"His intention is obvious, he wants to support Tonks! But what about the Golden Snitch?" Ludo shook his head. "Moriarty conceded the right to compete for the Golden Snitch; he was originally in the lead."
Now Roman seized the opportunity—we saw Captain Roman soar straight into the sky, his movements precise and incredibly fast!
The audience sighed repeatedly. Gemma and a few other girls stamped their feet, "Why did you have to go and help Tonks? We would have won if we had caught the Golden Snitch!"
Although Tonks is one of the founders of the Eternal Shine fan club, fans unanimously believe that Moriarty should give up on Tonks.
The Quaffle can't compare to the Golden Snitch, can it?
Moriarty disagreed, saying that from the moment the Golden Snitch appeared, the two batters on the national team had their eyes on him.
Moriarty wouldn't underestimate a professional player's predictions. Even if Roman's mentality cracked slightly under the threat of two stray balls, it was still risky for him to compete with Roman for the Golden Snitch.
In contrast, the Quaffle is different. Tonks has possession of the ball, and once he scores into the national team's goal, Roman's mentality will change drastically.
Moriarty turned his head and glanced at Roman. Behind him were two crazy, wandering balls. Marcus and Charlie had attacked Roman!
"Ha, Roman, you are the national team's biggest weakness."
Moriarty handed Roman over to the Dream Team batter and flew rapidly toward Tonks.
"Nymph, fly high!" Moriarty shouted, "Use our combination shot, Double S!"
"I've been wanting to teach them a lesson with my new skills for ages!" Tonks' eyes lit up, and she glared at the man with the afro. This dark-skinned man had been coiling around her like a snake ever since she got possession of the ball, and she couldn't shake him off!
Tonks began to take off, and the afro-haired man followed her.
"Moriarty? I'm starting!" Tonks shouted, then veered to the left, drifting through the air in a semi-circular arc like a Muggle drifting through a car, and flew to the left!
A gasp rippled through the stands, but the man with the afro shook his head and smiled. "Is that all?"
He made the same move, following Tonks as he turned left. These were considered advanced skills by the young wizards at Hogwarts, but for the national team players, they were the most basic maneuvers.
"It's not over yet," Tonks said defiantly. She made several turns in a row, each turn fast and sharp, leaving trails of smoke in the air. From a distance, it looked like a big "S".
Ludo exclaimed "Oh!" with sudden realization, and explained, "I think smart people have already figured out Moriarty and Tonks' new technique, yes, Double S!"
"You guessed right, it means a double S-shape. Tonks flies in an S-shaped trajectory, so what about Moriarty?"
"The gentleman must also be S-shaped, it's so easy for him!" the fans excitedly chattered.
In the air, after Ludo's reminder, the man with the afro also realized that he was flying too high and that Moriarty was the only one below him. He was out of touch with his teammates!
"Damn it, I've fallen into a trap." The man with the afro clenched his fist in regret, wanting to fly over Tonks' head and pin her down, but he found he couldn't.
Moriarty circled in an S-shaped pattern, his sharp eyes locked onto the afro.
"Nymph, begin your descent, forcing him to retreat!"
Moriarty's voice reached the ears of the man with the afro without omitting a single word, and his face immediately turned ugly.
The three of them are like a sandwich, with the afro being the filling in the middle.
Tonks ducked down, while Moriarty straightened up and lunged forward. The two of them hurtled towards each other in mid-air!
Another gasp rippled through the stands. Ludo, his face filled with shock, exclaimed, "Aren't they afraid of crashing together at that speed? I have to worry about Afro! If they don't slow down, he'll be crippled in five seconds!"
Have Moriarty and Tonks slowed down?
No!
Instead, it intensified. Tonks' beautiful eyes were filled with admiration as the two of them rapidly approached each other. This reminded her of a saying: True love is a two-way journey!
Tonks went even crazier, increasing his dive speed even further.
Ludo said there would be a collision in five seconds, but in reality, that time was shortened by almost half. The guy with the afro could already hear the whooshing sound of wind coming from above and below the broom. If he didn't leave now, it would be too late.
He sighed helplessly, turned around and flew away, Tonks grazing his scalp as he flew past.
"Snapped!"
Tonks and Moriarty stretched out their arms, clapping their hands together as they passed each other amidst the high-five.
"Moriarty, catch!" Tonks tossed the Quaffle to Moriarty, who tucked it under his arm. The Quaffle, which Tonks had been holding close to his chest, carried a pleasant fragrance.
"It's our turn to attack," Moriarty said, touching the ball and smirking. "Charge!"
"Shouldn't we worry about Roman?" Tonks asked, concerned that Roman might catch the Golden Snitch first.
"Never mind him, he's already half-crippled. Marcus and Charlie's foresight is enough to contain him."
Moriarty told Tonks that their play just now, though it sounded like it would take a long time to explain, took less than half a minute to execute. During that time, Roman was increasingly frustrated by Charlie's roaming ball.
Tonks looked at Roman—he was doing everything he could to shake off the ball behind him, but the ball clung to the head of his broom like a homing missile, refusing to let go.
Ludo then said, "It seems that Roman's operation to capture the Golden Thief has failed. His speed seems to have slowed down. We hope to adjust it as soon as possible."
The Dream Team has been firmly in control of the ball and has launched an attack. Moriarty is dribbling the ball himself—he seems to have given up on the Golden Snitch, but we all know that's impossible.
The Quaffle was passed to Leon by Moriarty, who then attempted to attack the national team's defense.
The national team, alerted by the explosive hairstyle, prepared their defenses in advance and were on high alert.
Moriarty noticed something interesting: Jericho, who used to be constantly bothered by the magician, was now the one bothering the magician.
This might be a weakness in the national team.
Moriarty withdrew his gaze, and Leon used his sloth roll to shake off Red Nose and increase his sprinting speed. Moriarty accelerated and cut in from the side. The Magician tried to help but was once again blocked by Jericho.
"Come on, magician, how about you perform a magic trick for me?" Jericho rushed up to the magician with a grin, looking at him with a provocative gaze.
The magician gave him a cold look, and the information provided by the organization flashed through his mind: Jericho was Moriarty's friend.
A plan slowly took shape in the magician's mind, so he deliberately slowed down and stopped using his elusive flight path.
"Jellico, stop playing around and catch!" Leon saw Jericho grinning and threw the Quaffle like a dart.
Jericho reached out and took the ball, feeling as if he had grasped a ball of fire, stimulating his inner restless nature and passion.
"Let's charge! Charge towards victory!"
Jericho raised his arms and shouted, but as he turned to charge, he saw a white shadow flash past his eyes.
He's a magician!
"Am I seeing things?" Jericho asked in surprise. The Magicians' uniforms were clearly dark blue, so why was he seeing white?
Jericho cautiously passed the ball to Tonks, at which point the man with the afro caught up again.
Tonks turned her hair silver, and her beautiful eyes crackled with electricity.
Ludo got excited, "Tonks is dribbling the ball, she's so close to the national team's goal!"
There's an afro and a red nose to her right rear! Two national team batters are rushing back to defend—what's that?!
Ludo suddenly paused, then roared, "Moriarty! Moriarty! It's Moriarty! He's flying towards the left side of the pitch, as fast as the fans say, a shining star! Did he see the Golden Snitch?"
The audience looked toward Moriarty and saw a flash of gold!
Roman rushed over, but he was too slow. A look of sorrow flashed across his face as Moriarty was about to catch the Golden Snitch.
Ludo was ready to cheer. He laughed and said, "Moriarty spotted the Golden Snitch before everyone else, showing us the reaction speed and insight of a top Seeker. It's terrifying. I think he has reached the pinnacle of Seekers. Yes, that's how I would describe him!"
