The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 175 The 4 Men Who Stole Moriarty's Spotlight!

Chapter 175 The Four Men Who Stole Moriarty's Spotlight!

The young wizards at Hogwarts spent the second half of the month in a variety of club activities, which were both fulfilling and enjoyable.

In November, a magical month known in alchemy as "Beaver Month,"...

It's time to collect beaver pelts to keep warm for the upcoming frost.

Hagrid purchased a large number of beaver pelts from a Polish merchant, which Professor Nicolas Flamel distributed to the students in his alchemy class.

"This month is a good time to set up protection for yourself and others, so? We'll assign you some homework," Nicolas Flamel said with a smirk, "Use the beaver pelts you have to make yourself an outfit—a wizard's robe, a coat, a trench coat, a down jacket, a blazer, trousers, a hat, a scarf… anything will do! It will be the alchemy material for the next class."

The students picked up the large, soft beaver pelts and began to compare their sizes.

Nicolas Flamel added with a smile, "Of course, you can make them for others too. Wearing a robe made by a friend or loved one in the coming winter will always bring a special feeling."

He finished speaking just as get out of class ended, and the students rushed out of the secret room and ran back into the castle to brainstorm what kind of clothes they should make.

The girls became restless at this time, trying every means to subtly probe Jericho, Keith, and Larpo for information.

"That's right, you all want to know Mr. Moriarty's style of dress so you can present him with clothes he likes!" Jericho said to the group of Ravenclaw witches. "But ladies, I must say you're a step too late."

Senior Sister Tonks made a wool coat for Mr. Lilith knitted him a white wizard's robe, Penelope knitted him a pair of wool socks, and Senior Sister Gemma Farley was preparing to make a wizard's hat!

The clothes the Slytherin girls made for Mr. Slytherin have piled up all over our dormitory. Otherwise, why do you think he hasn't shown up? He's tidying up the dormitory!

Jericho walked away with his girlfriend; they were preparing to make a matching set of robes.

That evening, Moriarty, dressed in a new outfit, showed the entire school the enthusiasm of the Hogwarts Little Witch.

Some of the girls screamed as if they had won a multi-million dollar lottery when they saw Moriarty wearing the clothes they had given him.

Lilith was not among these people; she noticed that Moriarty was not wearing her wizard's robes.

Lilith could guess the reason: the wizard robes she made were too crude.

Under the dining table, where no one could see, Lilith clenched her little fists, determined to make a beautiful wizard's robe next time!

Moriarty walked to the table and sat down. Leon laughed and said, "Sir, you've stolen the show from all of us boys."

"There's nothing I can do about it. I have to wear a few clothes to prove that I have enough clothes to wear, otherwise they'll fill up the Slytherin common room sooner or later."

Moriarty shrugged helplessly, but his words were a huge blow to the young wizards. Just when the young witches stopped paying attention to Moriarty, another group of people came from the corner of the first-floor corridor!

There were four of them in total, each with bright red hair. People knew their identities as soon as they saw the red hair: Charlie, Percy, George, and Fred!

The four Weasley boys, every time you see them, you can't help but look at their red hair.

Today, people are taking a second look at them; each of them is wearing a bulky, strange sweater, making them look particularly comical.

Charlie's sweater was brown with a capital "C" printed on it, and the two sleeves were of different lengths.

Percy's sweater was white with a "P" printed on it, and it was the only clean, tidy, and normal sweater he owned.

George and Fred both wore gray sweaters with "Q" and "F" printed on them respectively, making them easily distinguishable.

George's sweater collar was a bit flat, and the rusty lettering on Fred's sweater had come undone.

The funniest thing is that the style of the sweater is old-fashioned and outdated, like a remnant of the last century.

People laughed.

The sweater had many flaws, but the four Weasleys joked about its pattern and color, completely unconcerned about the strange looks from others, and walked toward the Gryffindor table like celebrities making their entrance.

"Percy, why do you always go your own way and not follow our lead?" George asked.

"Yeah, you're a disgrace to us! Look at your sweater, you have absolutely no sense of humor!" Fred said disdainfully.

Percy was amused by his brother. He picked up a corner of the sweater and said, "You call this a lack of humor? My sweaters are clearly more exquisite than yours. Admit it, you two clumsy troublemakers."

Charlie protested, "What's with the attitude?" He patted Percy on the shoulder, "We deliberately made the sweater look like this; distinctive sweaters are a Weasley family tradition!"

"My sweater is different from yours, that's the biggest feature."

The four Weasleys sat down at the same time, and the lion cubs welcomed them.

Lee Jordan sidled up to George: "Hey, guys! You guys are so cool, everyone's saying you're the only ones who can steal Mr. Moriarty's thunder!"

George, far from being modest, raised a glass of juice: "Stealing the spotlight is such a brilliant idea! Lots of upperclassmen want to make alchemical tools these days, and they want to try making wand sets and developing new brooms—what a fun thing that would be!"

"What do you mean?" Lee Jordan asked, puzzled. "You guys also have ideas for creating alchemical tools?"

"No, no, no," Fred said, raising a glass of juice as well. "Buddy, I think we can team up and let Filch run wild!"

"Filch? Oh no!" Lee Jordan screamed, clutching his head. "He's not the same old man anymore. He has alchemical tools provided by Professor Nicolas Flamel. Have you forgotten that he captured me?"

"Hey, listen up," George urged. "We're going to mess with Filch precisely because he has alchemical tools!"

Just imagine how much our classmates will admire us if we succeed! We've cracked Professor Nicolas Flamel's alchemical artifact!

"There are many wizards who develop alchemical tools, but very few who can decipher them!" Fred exclaimed, already cheering.

Lee Jordan seemed to be persuaded; his restless nature and desire for the limelight made him eager to try.

"We've also contacted other guys, we're making our move tonight!" George patted Lee Jordan on the shoulder, dispelling the latter's last remaining concerns.

"I'll go with you and teach that old man a lesson!" Recalling Filch's attempt to whip him, Lee Jordan made up his mind and raised the wine glass in front of him.

George and Fred exchanged a smile: "That's great! Cheers, guys!"

"Ding!"

The three wine glasses clinked together, and they drank the juice inside. George frowned: "Why is my peach juice bitter?"

"Mine too, it tastes awful!" Fred stuck out his tongue.

"Hehe," Percy laughed, "My dear little brothers, I added a tiny bit of hair-raising potion to your juice—something I just learned in second-year potions class. It's harmless and will only make your hair stand on end for two hours."

"Oh no!"

The Weasley twins looked at each other, their red hair quickly standing on end, like they had brooms on their heads!

The lion cubs burst into laughter, and Percy said to Charlie, "See that? A sense of humor!"

Charlie gave him a wary look, picked up his plate and wine glass, and sat down on the other side of the long table.

The young wizards from the other three houses looked toward the Weasley twins, who always managed to come up with something new and surprising.

Lilith said to Moriarty, "I never knew Percy Weasley was such a prankster."

"He's changed so much since he enrolled last year," Moriarty nodded in agreement.

"Did you hear that? Tonight, those twins will distract Filch. This is an opportunity." Lilith's eyes gleamed. "We can go to the forbidden section or the Room of Requirement together! I mean, no one will bother us on our nighttime stroll."

There was a typo in yesterday's Chapter 2, which has been corrected.
