Cedric had heard of some of the students there; they were Muggle-born wizards from Gryffindor, already sixth-year students.
Sure enough, the Ravenclaw senior said to them, "If you're worried about finding a job after graduation, I think I can offer you some help."
After receiving their approval, the senior student took out another gray card and told them how to use it.
"Knock on a wand? And chant a spell? That sounds pretty fun. What are you guys doing?"
True to their Gryffindor nature, the three half-grown lions were seized by a playful impulse. They tapped their wands on the cardstock and chanted in unison, "Law and justice!"
A line of black text appeared on the gray cardstock.
"The International Federation of Wizarding Societies' Secrecy Law?!"
The three half-grown lions recited in unison, then asked, "What does the secrecy law have to do with our inability to find jobs?"
“Of course there’s a connection,” Ravenclaw’s now-junior student said confidently. “If it weren’t for the Secret Law, both half-blood wizards and Muggle-born wizards could find good jobs.”
Realizing she had talked too much, she quickly slipped away.
In the auditorium hall, nearly half of the students were doing their homework at their respective long tables.
Students wearing white coats walked in, greeting everyone they met, and then handing out one or two cards.
The students picked up the cards on the table and exchanged puzzled glances.
The member in the white jacket said with a smile, "Our manager is almost here. Let's hear what they have to say."
"The person in charge? And 'them'?" Charlie, who was writing his Animagus paper at the Gryffindor table, looked up and scratched his head. "Could it be Mr. Moriarty's doing? I really don't know of any other small groups in this school besides him."
"You could scratch your head until you're bald and still not figure it out!"
Percy's voice rang out as he walked over from the corner of the first-floor corridor, smiling at his second brother, "The cardstock you received was specially prepared for you. Take a close look at it later, and don't miss any details."
Charlie turned the black cardstock in his hand over and over. "You prepared this for me? So, you're in charge?"
Percy nodded, his smile widening: "To be precise, I am one of the people in charge."
He suddenly turned around, faced the students, and shouted, "Please welcome our other two leaders to the stage!"
A round of warm but not loud applause rang out in the auditorium, coming from the members in white jackets.
The castle gates swung open with a snap, and two girls walked in side by side. One was as cold as ice, while the other radiated a pure and innocent smile.
Tonks, sitting at the Hufflepuff table, stared in astonishment. "Lilith and Gemma? They're in charge of this operation? My Merlin!"
She looked toward the Slytherin table but didn't see Moriarty. His henchman Marcus and friend Jericho were also absent, but Leon sat at the top of the table, looking utterly dumbfounded.
In just a moment, Tonks realized that Moriarty was unaware of what had happened today.
"Leon? What are you standing there for!" Tonks yelled at him, "Go tell Moriarty! Hurry!"
Leon responded blankly twice, then instructed the little snake to run back to the dormitory to report the situation to Moriarty.
At this moment, Lilith and Gemma walked to the front of the professor's table, and Percy also walked over. He was to Lilith's left, and Gemma was to Lilith's right.
The three of them faced the students, feeling a little nervous as they looked at the pairs of eyes that were gathering around them.
Percy kept telling himself, "Percy Weasley, remember this: this is your first step into the Ministry of Magic! How many times will this happen after you start working? This is just the first step! Just the first step!"
After mentally preparing himself, Percy felt much better. He glanced smugly at Charlie and the Weasley twins, as if showing off.
Gemma was the most nervous; her smile was so stiff it was almost frozen.
Only Lilith remained calm.
"Is everyone curious about what's inside the card?" Lilith asked calmly. "It contains laws and regulations, the laws and regulations of wizards."
"Laws or regulations?"
A chorus of questions erupted in the auditorium. The students looked down at the cardstock, flipping through it. The Weasley twins tried to fold the cardstock into paper airplanes, but failed.
"There must be magic on this!"
"That's right! And I bet this kind of magic would be surprisingly effective for pranks."
"listen to me."
Lilith coldly interrupted the twins' discussion, "The Malfoy family head was murdered recently, and the French Ministry of Magic groundlessly accused the British Ministry of Magic of..."
She bit her lip lightly. During her "cold war" with Moriarty, she couldn't calmly say his name, but for the sake of her plan, she had to.
"With Moriarty Slytherin! Yes, baseless accusation!"
Although Mr. Lockhart suppressed these two matters, we live in a well-established magical world governed by law. Why can't we protect our rights through reasonable and legal means?
Lilith's words made the students think, while Leon gave a dismissive smile.
The magical world has always been a dog-eat-dog world; where is there any fairness or justice? Magic is power, and strength is truth!
The eldest daughter of the Pilivik family doesn't even understand this?
However, Lilith and Moriarty are very close, and there is a hint that she is Moriarty's confidante. Leon dares not openly oppose Lilith.
Lilith seemed to notice Leon's gaze. She looked towards the Slytherin table and raised her voice slightly: "You might say that magic isn't law, that this world is inherently flawed, that the law can't control everything… Well, I would say, why can't we create a fair and just magical world through the law?"
The auditorium was silent. The students looked at each other, and Lilith threw out two bombshell questions.
Protect your rights through legal means!
Create fairness and justice through the law!
These words had a great impact on the ambitious young wizards, such as Percy, who seemed to see himself becoming the head of the Department of Law Enforcement at the British Ministry of Magic!
Lilith pulled a green card from Percy's hand, then drew her wand, tapped the card, and shouted, "Law and justice!"
The green cardstock began to change, revealing a line of large black text: "Order Prohibiting Animal Culture and Experimentation".
Gemma followed suit, then faced the students with the blue card and said with a smile, "Mine is the Muggle Protection Act!"
Percy displayed his remaining three cards—black, red, and yellow—reading: "Ministry of Magic Order, Caning Authorization Order, International Ban on Duels!"
Now Charlie understood what the black cardstock Percy had specially chosen for him meant.
"So he wanted to recruit me into the Ministry of Magic, this Percy..." Charlie shook his head. He knew that Percy was eager to get ahead and that he was probably doing this to enhance his resume.
However, the students' interest was piqued, and they took out their wands and tapped them on their cards.
The voice of "legal justice" filled the entire hall, and legal statutes were displayed on the cardboard.
Tonks's card was a brown sheet of paper labeled "Prohibited Trade Items," which she read carefully: "These refer to baby magical creatures and chicks whose trade is prohibited by the Department of Magical Creatures Control. Category A prohibited trade items include: Giant Spider Eggs, Chimera Beasts, Dragon Eggs..."
Leon's copy was a purple cardstock copy of the Wizengamo Charter of Rights, which he read aloud, word by word.
"...Regarding the provisions of the Wiesengamo Supreme Court ruling, it includes clauses guaranteeing the defendant's right to summon witnesses to testify on their behalf..."
Below this are several lines of black headings: "Current Members of the Council of Wizengamo and Chief Magician".
"The case of Wissengamo over the past decade."
"..."
Leon flicked the cardboard with his index finger, making a crisp "snap" sound.
"As expected of the eldest daughter of the Pilivik family, she can even find these real-life cases."
Suddenly, another question occurred to him, and he yelled at his henchman beside him, "Did I send someone to inform the master?"
"We'll go report back." The little snakes quickly ran off.
In Moriarty's dormitory, five small snakes stood in a row, reporting the situation outside to Moriarty one after another.
Marcus wrote down all the information they shared on parchment, as Moriarty was focused on comparing the stability of the new broom with the Nimbus 1700.
"Finished memorizing?" Moriarty asked Marcus, his eyes fixed on the new broom on the desk.
"I've written it all down." Marcus respectfully held the parchment above his head and handed it over.
"How about it, Jericho?" Moriarty smirked. "I told you so, Lilith has made her move."
"She's incredibly fast," Jericho said dejectedly. "How come I never realized she was such a doer, such a pragmatist?"
"Marcus, read on," Moriarty instructed. "I'm almost finished comparing them, and by then you'll be done reading too. Let's go to the Great Hall together and see what Lilith is up to!"
Jericho looked puzzled. "Isn't she just trying to spread legal knowledge? After all, she knows all the laws and regulations by heart; her family is a legal family."
"Don't underestimate Lilith, she's got a big heart." Moriarty smiled knowingly.
I'm begging for everything in November, everyone!
