A streak of silver light flashed from the tip of the staff and flew into the night sky, while a beam of emerald light shot out from the tip of another cedarwood wand, its green color sparkling brightly.
Two beams of light intersected in the air, swirling, intertwining, and merging into a giant circle filled with rich water elemental magic, forming stripes and halos of light.
Moriarty hissed and chanted a spell in Parseltongue, freezing the entire sky as if it were still.
Only the giant circle slowly rotates, and magic is used to inscribe magic circles within it!
"Ice Serpent Dance!"
Moriarty crossed his arms and swung his staff and wand at the ground simultaneously, with a loud "bang!" that sounded like ice being pierced by an iron rod.
A giant snake crawled out of the magic circle in the air!
The large snake was entirely emerald green, its surface covered with a layer of pale blue ice crystals, winding and coiling, stretching its body.
"hiss--"
The giant snake opened its mouth and lunged at the vampires on the ground!
Silvery-white fangs and a blood-red tongue protrude from its mouth, while black venom drips from its mouth onto the ground, creating small craters and making a hissing sound.
Next came the second one, the third one...
Twelve enormous serpents crawled out of the magic circle, their massive bodies filling the entire night sky, blocking out the starlight and moonlight. The brightly lit Jewish Marquis's Castle was instantly plunged into darkness, shrouded in the shadows of the serpents!
The two vampire counts chanted the blood incantation again, and black slime wove into a dozen dark longswords, which slashed towards the snake's head.
Moriarty glanced coldly at the vampires, then turned and walked toward Quinlan, completely disregarding their resistance.
The twelve giant serpents began to intertwine, raising their heads and emitting sharp hisses, as if they had gone berserk, and surrounded the battlefield.
As they flew rapidly, a powerful cold front appeared, and a blizzard mixed with cold rain and snow fell from the sky, pelting the vampires with a crackling sound. The ground was quickly stained red, and the vampires let out mournful howls, but none of them were frozen into ice sculptures.
The black knife shattered into powder and melted in the swirling snow. The two vampire counts fled in panic, only to be caught by the ice serpent in less than ten seconds.
"Slurp!"
"Slurp!"
Two ice snakes flicked their tongues and licked the vampire count's face, taking turns licking it like an ice pop.
"Hiss!"
A chilling, serpentine voice emanated from Moriarty's mouth, meaning "Kill them!"
The serpents received the order, opened their mouths and swallowed the vampire count. With a "plop," their fangs entered his body, and blood stained his mouth, flowing down to the ground.
"The blood of a vampire count!" Leon's eyes lit up as he walked towards the pool of blood. "Take some back to the Church of Stan; it'll definitely be of great research value."
"You're quite the flatterer," Charlie said with a smile.
"How dare you speak like that!" Leon glanced at Charlie, then said with considerable pride, "Maintaining a good relationship with the Dean is a required course for purebloods. Otherwise, would the Church have entrusted me with the Divine Edge Shadowless Spell?"
But he quickly remembered something, staring at Charlie: "You've learned a new spell without a word? You've kept it well hidden, nothing like someone from the Weasley family! When are we going to have a duel?"
Charlie thought for a moment, "Let's talk about it back at school. Tonks? Are you coming? I'm quite interested in Hufflepuff spells; I dare say there's a lot of potential for development in those spells!"
They talked as if no one else was around, as if the people standing opposite them were not a group of vampires, but a group of goblins.
However, Tonks didn't join in. She stared intently at Moriarty, her eyes filled with a tender, alluring light, as if lost in thought.
Moriarty walked to Quinlan's side, and the system notified him: "Ding~ The system detected that the host has killed two vampire counts. Reward: 6000 points."
Killing enemies earns you points.
Moriarty's lips curled into a smile. He glanced sideways at the vampires in the blizzard and ordered the ice serpent, "Leave no one alive!"
"brush!"
The twelve ice snakes flew past!
"Ding-dong~" The system quickly notified: "The system detected that the host has killed 27 Quinlan vampires, gaining 3980 points."
There were a total of 36 vampires. Apart from Quinlan, there were 35 others. This means that the Hogwarts pure-blood army killed 8 vampires without suffering any casualties!
This is a very glorious achievement for students currently enrolled in school.
Moriarty also gained 9800 points. With the remaining 800 points, Moriarty's points returned to 10600, enough to exchange for another spell.
However, Moriarty did not rush to exchange the items. He used his cedarwood wand to straighten Quinlan's body, exposing his head, and then used magic to forcibly pry open Quinlan's eyes.
Moriarty focused his attention, gazing intently into Quinlan's eyes. "Legacy of Mind!"
A wisp of white mist drifted by, and Moriarty walked along a road paved with blood, before a large gate.
"Is this Quinlan's mental space?" Moriarty stopped and looked around. All he could see was darkness. "Or perhaps it's a mental space, a spiritual space? In any case, the secret of the Headless Vampire Ancestor lies inside!"
Moriarty pushed open the door and went inside, where a huge, blood-red bat flew towards him!
"Screech!" The blood bat let out a deafening scream, and Moriarty's brain suddenly convulsed violently, causing him excruciating pain.
"Moriarty! All my hard work in acting wasn't in vain, you actually caught up with me!" Blood Bat laughed heartily.
"Quinlan!?" Moriarty clutched his head, crying out in pain, "Do you want to kill me?"
"Kill you? Death is too easy for you." Quinlan flapped his wings faster. "From the moment my grandson died, I've wanted nothing more than to drain your blood dry, turn you into a lowly vampire, order you not to drink blood for thirty years, and torture you to death!"
"I'm already in your hands, why don't you do something about it?" Moriarty began to pant, his breathing becoming heavy.
"Because I must bring you before the Ancestor." Quinlan's voice was both cold and hoarse.
"Ancestor?" Moriarty's lips were bloodless, and his face turned pale. "The headless vampire ancestor?"
“Yes,” Quinlan shook his bat head, looking smug, “I know you’re trying to trick me into telling me things, but I don’t care, and I don’t mind telling you some secrets.”
Do you know why? Because you can't break the ancestor's magic! You think your pain is because of my bat-like illusions? Wrong, terribly wrong!
"Zu's viral magic has invaded your brain; no one but Zu can save you."
Moriarty frowned, unsure whether it was from pain or confusion.
Quinlan seemed quite pleased with Moriarty's current state, and he flew around Moriarty in circles.
"Listen up, Moriarty. You're a genius—we've heard about your exploits ever since you returned to England. I must admit, your strength surpasses our imagination, even exceeding the general perception of you within the wizarding world. If today's battle were to be leaked, what do you think the European wizarding community would do?"
Kunlan gave a wicked laugh, then changed the subject: "But you are no match for the other one. Your talent, your strength... everything about you is incomparable to his."
"Who?" Moriarty narrowed his eyes, wondering who this person was.
"He's a wizard too, the Merlin you all keep talking about!" Mentioning Merlin, Quinlan's arrogance subsided somewhat, and he said calmly, "You wouldn't know, Merlin couldn't undo the virus magic either. Yes, even the wizarding god Merlin couldn't do anything about this kind of virus magic that attacks the brain, manipulates people's hearts, and controls emotions!"
The only option is to seal the virus magic along with the ancestor. Therefore, you naturally cannot break the virus magic.
Lie down quietly; sleeping will relieve the pain, though only slightly, but it's better than nothing.
Sleep well, Moriarty, cherish your last chance to sleep—your last sleep as a human being.
After all, once you become a vampire, you can sleep every day, even for hundreds of years, provided you can actually become a vampire. Haha, who can say for sure? Maybe Zu will cut off your head and turn your body into jerky.
Moriarty's vision was already blurred, and he was swaying and unable to stand steadily. Quinlan laughed and flew to Moriarty's head, folding his wings to try to cover Moriarty's head.
Just as the wings were about to close, Moriarty suddenly reached out and tightly gripped the blood-red wings in his hands.
A flicker of panic crossed Kunlan's eyes: "You're not poisoned? That's impossible!"
"Look me in the eyes!" Moriarty growled. "Quinlan! Merlin may not be able to break the virus magic, but I can!"
"Alchemy Matrix!"
Moriarty's eyes lit up. He engraved Quinlan's image on the alarm clock, his brain working at lightning speed. In the alchemy matrix, Quinlan turned into a string of runes!
I've seen this rune before!
I'm sure I've seen this somewhere before!
Where is it? Where exactly is it?!
Moriarty desperately tried to recall, his brain on the verge of exploding under the attack of the viral magic, but the alchemical matrix activated, quickly neutralizing the viral magic.
As the pain gradually subsided, Moriarty remembered that the headless horseman had the same runes on his chest and limbs!
"So you were here all along. Let me see who you really are!" A meaningful glint flashed in Moriarty's eyes.
"You? You! How is this possible?" Quinlan's eyes turned to surprise and horror. Moriarty chuckled, used Frostbite to freeze Quinlan, grabbed his bat head, and used Legilimency again.
This time, Moriarty was not hindered and successfully read Quinlan's memories and thoughts.
Moriarty grew increasingly horrified as he watched. After finishing, he emerged from Quinlan's mental space and delivered a final "shattered to pieces" blow to the half-dead Quinlan.
Without even glancing at Quinlan's mangled corpse, he turned and strode toward the purebloods: "Marcus? Go back to England right now and find Lockhart. Have him clean up this mess!"
"Everyone else, come with me back to Hogwarts, and hurry! Something's happened at Hogwarts!"
