The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 124 Dumbledore's Wrath and Sacrifice

Chapter 124 Dumbledore's Wrath and Sacrifice

Wood arrived with Dumbledore and several professors, only to find this scene before them.

To Moriarty's slight surprise, the divination professor, Sybil Trelawney, was also there.

Dumbledore gave Moriarty an inquiring look.

"Another sudden, unpredictable mood swing?"

With a "whoosh," Moriarty retracted his Slytherin staff and gave Dumbledore a brief, indifferent glance.

"Worse than the previous three incidents, Gryffindors are irritable and manic, and Ravenclaws are resorting to deadly tactics."

Dumbledore's expression immediately turned grim. He said to Moriarty and Diana, "Go to the Headmaster's office and wait for me. I have something to say to you."

Moriarty and Diana exchanged a glance and left the Quidditch pitch first. Penelope had to leave Moriarty's side. Wood quietly walked up to Penelope, and the classmate lying on the pitch felt unfamiliar to him.

"What happened?" Wood asked Penelope in a low voice.

Penelope opened her mouth to answer but heard Dumbledore's angry shout!

"What happened? Someone explain to me what happened, Mr. Charlie Weasley!"

Charlie sat on the ground without saying a word. He had calmed down and lowered his head so low it almost hung between his legs.

Dumbledore then asked the other man, "Thomson Brown?"

The seventh-year Ravenclaw student whose name was called lay on the ground, looking exhausted, unable to utter a word, just staring blankly at his wand.

Dumbledore then called out more than a dozen names; they were all outstanding students from the two houses, including prefects and key players on the sports teams.

"Raise your heads, quickly, all of you raise your heads!" Dumbledore clapped his hands to attract the students' attention. His voice was loud, and his eyes shone brightly. He truly loved these students.

"Look at your young faces," he said. "Remember the face of the person across from you, and you want to punch him until he's black and blue, or smash him with your wands! Is that it?"

May I assume that this is what you were thinking based on your actions today?

Dumbledore no longer wore a kind smile; the joyful spark in his eyes behind his glasses had vanished; every wrinkle on his aged face carried a chilling rage.

"Professor Dumbledore!"

A girl cried out, her voice trembling with tears, "No, no! We don't know what happened..."

She was Mandy Finney, a Gryffindor player, and she burst into tears. One after another, sobs rang out, and dozens of students followed suit.

I don't know again!

I don't know again!

I don't know again!!!

An unknown and terrifying entity disturbed the minds of his lovely students, causing them to hate studying, go crazy, and kill each other!

This is the fourth time! The students have unknowingly committed a grave mistake!

For the first time, anger appeared on Dumbledore's face; he had never been so angry as he was today.

The injured and weeping students were like sharp knives piercing Dumbledore's heart.

The insertion caused Dumbledore excruciating pain!

Dumbledore radiated a power that seemed to burn and ignite, his magic flowing like a mighty river, sweeping through every corner of the castle.

Like a gentle spring breeze and nourishing rain, this school is nurtured silently and gently.

Moriarty, who had a direct connection to the castle, quickly sensed it.

Dumbledore used his own magic to unleash two ancient spells.

One is a detection magic, and the other is a protective magic.

The reason it's only being used now is because both spells consume the caster's life force!

"Send the students to the school hospital first, then declare a holiday until we find the cause!" Dumbledore said firmly. He waved his wand, and dozens of students floated up and flew one by one to the school hospital. The four heads of the department and other professors followed to guard them and ensure that there would be no further trouble.

"Sybil!"

Dumbledore called to Sybil Trelawney, "Come with me."

The two walked toward the principal's office, where Moriarty and Diana were already waiting.

The moment Moriarty saw Dumbledore, he demanded, "Where were you when Gryffindor clashed with Ravenclaw?"

Dumbledore took off his glasses, closed his eyes, rubbed his face, and showed a regretful expression.

"Moriarty," Diana tugged at Moriarty's sleeve, "it's not Dumbledore's fault. We were all in the Divination class at the time because Professor Sybil made a prophecy."

Moriarty abruptly turned to look at Professor Trelawney, who was startled. She then puffed out her chest, took out a crystal ball, and waved it around in front of Moriarty.

"Oh? Child, what do you see in it?" She pressed her eyes against the crystal ball, looking at Moriarty through it: "My third eye tells me..."

Moriarty, not wanting to listen to this woman's mystical pronouncements, asked Dumbledore, "What prophecy did she make?"

Dumbledore put his glasses back on and said slowly, "Around four o'clock this afternoon, the students found Sybil collapsed in the Divination classroom. Given the series of events that have occurred in the castle, I went to check on her myself."

When I arrived at the classroom, the other professors were already there. We saw that Sybil's eyes were glazed over and her voice was hoarse.

That was a prelude to a prophecy. We waited for about ten minutes, and she made a prophecy.

Merlin is resurrected, the battle ends, and the feud begins anew.

After she finished speaking, she drifted off to sleep again. I called Professor Diana over, and we tried to decipher the prophecy in the classroom.

And then, you know the rest. Wood found us through Headless Nick.

Dumbledore's eyes were filled with regret. If he had arrived earlier, he could have prevented a conflict between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw.

Moriarty, on the other hand, thought it was too much of a coincidence.

"So far, there have been four incidents. Apart from the first one, we were held up by other matters and unable to arrive on time for the other three!"

Moriarty looked at Diana, then at Dumbledore: "Was this a coincidence or a premeditated act? I lean towards the latter!"

Diana said, "What do you think of the prophecy? We understand Merlin's resurrection, but what do the entanglements and grudges refer to?"

"Why don't we just ask Merlin after he's resurrected?" Moriarty's approach was different. He analyzed, "The Headless Horseman also mentioned Merlin, so the most important thing is to find the Headless Horseman's portrait. I noticed you cast a detection spell. Watch your body, Dumbledore."

"Oh, dear Moriarty, you've figured it out!" Dumbledore finally smiled, casually stating the weight of life: "I'm willing to give my life to protect this school and everyone in it."

These words gave Moriarty goosebumps, but the "dear Moriarty" that came from Dumbledore's mouth was much more sincere than the one that came from Lucius's mouth.

Although Moriarty believed in Dumbledore's feelings for Hogwarts, there were still some things he had to say.

"You're not a child anymore, Dumbledore. Your choice is between life and death, and I've never liked meddling in other people's business."

But you must realize that you cannot leave Hogwarts yet.

"Yes, that's right," Dumbledore said quickly. "I really can't leave Hogwarts like this."

But at the same time, I have unwavering faith that even if I leave Hogwarts, the two of you will still uncover the reasons behind these four incidents and resolve the crisis at Hogwarts.

"If you insist on using that detection spell, then let's hurry." Moriarty took out his Slytherin staff and glanced at the ground. "You don't mind if I make a little hole in your floor, do you?"

"If you're willing to invest in replacing my floor with one made of gold, I certainly wouldn't mind," Dumbledore said with a slight smile.

Moriarty pointed his staff at the floor: "Thunder Explosion!"

With a loud bang, a hole appeared in the floor. Professor Trelawney was stunned; she had no idea what Moriarty was going to do.

"The floor of the principal's office has collapsed due to its age!"

Along with the 137 owls that died for various reasons.

This will be counted as part of the special funds that the twelve school board members have invested in Hogwarts this year. You submit the report, and I'll approve it.
